The name of the establishment says it all. Just Like Home! I am so happy with the wonderful staff the accommodations for my mother.The ratio of residents to aids is small and you get to know all the residents and their family members . I feel that the staff that takes care of the residents do a wonderful job. My loved one is well taken care of and is not just a number. The Atmosphere inside and outside the home is peaceful and they bring in entertainment and music to stimulate the residents. I Love that I can have a few laughs with everyone and enjoy their company.It is so nice that you really feel part of this great organization. I know how hard it was to take care of my mom , and I feel so blessed that my concerns for my Mom have been addressed and they are willing and open to discuss your needs. I originally had my loved one in a much larger Memory care facility and I am so Grateful that this wonderful facility exists. Also the food is healthy and delicious and my mothers hygiene has never been better. I know how hard everyone works to make this a Loving and Caring home . Absolutely Amazing. What a beautiful gift for your Loved one. I am able to visit and see the Joy my mom expresses with Gods Angels that watch out for all the residents and each other! Anyhow see for yourself! You won’t be disappointed “

Unique to Connecticut, Just Like Home Long Hill Residential Care Home is for only 7 residents with memory care issues. We have 2 around-the clock caregivers always attending to your loved one. It is a beautiful brand new ranch-style home in a lovely Shelton neighborhood for just 7 seniors. We are all about bringing joy to our seniors with memory care issues. It is Just Like Home. It is their home. Everyone has their own room and bathroom. Shared living room, sunny den, kitchen, large deck on an acre of property. Come for a tour and stay for lunch.
If you are looking for an intimate home setting for your loved one, and you do not want them to be lost in a large facility, big box place, you have found their home. We are a regular home in a lovely neighborhood just like your loved one is used to. We provide everything-from furnishings to linens, no hassle to move furniture. Just bring your loved one's clothes and toiletries and move right in.
The home is lovely, yet it is the care that you will love. Two caregivers hand-picked to work with your loved ones. trained in memory care issues. We cater to you and your family-food wise and fun wise. With only 7 residents you have the attention of the caregivers, house manager and owner directly. There is a local geriatric medical group that comes to the home if you chose to use them. We make it easy on you and your family member.
If you need financial help while the family house is being sold, we can do that too. We understand that your loved one many not be safe anymore in their home and they need to move NOW. NOW it is-we will happily have them move in with us while you prepare and sell their home. We can wait to get paid. Ask Deirdre about the program, it has helped many make the decision easy.
This home was designed for built with a conviction to provide seniors with memory care issues with a better way of living. We are committed to do just that in an intimate, home-setting. No blaring TVs and people moved from room to room. They are home, it becomes their home. The residents bond like family.

Long Hill Home is a beautiful, clean and warm place to call home. Management and members of staff are very friendly and professional, they make your visit very pleasant and of course they ask you to stay to enjoy a meal with them! They’re very hospitable. The rooms are all en-suite, clean and modern bathrooms with walk in showers. The environment and the view outside is so calming and serene! It is a beautiful home indeed!

When I walked into Long Hill Home, I realized where the name Just Like Home came from-it is just like home! I didn’t know what to expect because I have never been in such an intimate memory care home. It is perfect! Everything is new, clean, spacious and beautiful. A lot of homey touches everywhere to the pretty bedspreads and matching bathroom shower curtains. Each room is different. I love that all of the furniture is there. All my mom has to do is bring her clothes and toiletries and she can move right in. Each bedroom had their own TV, I liked that too. Each resident’s laundry is done separately, so there is no mixing up of clothes. And whatever my mom requests, foodwise, will be on the shopping list. Can’t beat that! I loved the whole atmosphere. The caregivers were sweet and attentive and really seemed to love their jobs. They seemed knowledgeable in memory care and treated my mom with love, kindness and respect. It is really a special place. We are happy we found it.

So very glad to have found Just Like Home! The house is bright, clean and comfortable. My Mom feels very much at home. The staff is amazing; so caring and attentive. The residents enjoy all the musical guests and fitness trainers that come to the house.
