My mother is in Benchmark at Split Rock. The place is very nice and it's only three years old. The staff is very good. They have had some changes that they had to work through a little bit, but it's pretty good. The activities director for the memory care area is coming back. She got promoted and brought to a different location, but they're bringing her back and I'm really happy about that. Activities get a little tricky, and I really love that person they had before. I'm thrilled that she's coming back. That made a big difference for me.

Benchmark at Split Rock was very nice. The lady we talked to was excellent and very informative. We looked at both assisted living and memory care. Everything seemed good. They sent us home with some sandwiches, and they tasted fine.

Benchmark at Split Rock was fairly new. I just wasn't crazy about the location of the facility because there were shops and stores in the area and it's behind Outback. I also felt like it was smaller in size and the views from the room, I didn't think they offered as much as the other place did. They had a bistro and a smaller dining room. They offer music, and they had a piano there. They had a room where they could do chair yoga and activities and they could have ceramics or cooking. They had a nice room that was just a kitchen and it had a stovetop and oven. If you wanted to bring your family there and cook a meal, you could. The rooms seemed smaller, but they were furnished. I just didn't like that they only had a twin bed and the bed didn't go up or down like at the other place. They didn't have extra space for towels. It was almost like an open cabinet. One thing that they did that I thought was very nice was when I wrapped my tour which was at 10:00 in the morning, they gave me a bag lunch to go. They gave me a sandwich, a dessert, and bottled water. I thought that was a nice touch. They just didn't have much of a property in the front for the residents to enjoy.

I visited Benchmark at Split Rock. I thought it was just a little bit overcrowded. The food, the menus, and everything else was good. They have entertainment. When I walked in there, they had a guy singing. It seemed like they had a lot of people that were interacting, so that was good. The room was tiny, really small, and the price was very, very expensive. I think it was $13,700 a month. I don't know where they come up with the prices. I mean, it was such a small room. The reason why it's called Split Rock, it's because when you look out the window there's a cliff staring at you in the face. It wouldn't be my first choice to put my mother, that's for sure. The lady I talked to, she was in the management area, she was very helpful, and she walked me through everything. Information wise, it was great; I learned a lot. All I saw was the menu. I really didn't know about the food too much. The menu was very extensive, so that looked good and everything.

Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock is pretty much brand new, so the interior is beautiful. The staff was wonderful too, and it's a perfect location for us. They have the best location. They had really pretty porches outside at the back. The kitchens were granite, and everything was really up to date. It looks like a beautiful new hotel, and the menu looked good. The crowd there looked older.

Benchmark is fairly new. My mom has a pretty nice room that is good for her. She gets all her meals. There are some people who are super good and there are some who are not. They can improve on the communication between staff.

My husband teaches Tai Chi to the residents and notes that the residents seem happy, well cared for, and the caregivers are all very pleasant and attentive. I have worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years and have also attended the class, observing for myself. I would feel at ease if my parents were living here.

Benchmark was very nice, and it’s very high just to get into them. It was lovely and brand new like a hotel, more modern than what we were looking for. It wasn’t quite as homey as to what we were looking for. The living rooms were upstairs. It was a high rise. The dining area was nice, clean, and new. It was a lovely building with lots of business there and restaurants. The whole area is pretty much built.

Benchmark at Split Rock was clean, and everybody was hospitable. It was a very nice place. The dining area was clean. They had a couple of dining areas. One was a nicer dining facility, and they have cafe's for coffee, and you could have a microwave in your own place or a little kitchenette. They had fine-dining, and comfort quick food stuff.

Benchmark Senior Living is a well-run facility. The employees seem motivated. Everyone is very informative and eager to please their clients. I’m very happy with everything I’ve seen. The building is only a year old, and the room is very nice and cozy. My father is enjoying the meals. It’s really homey. The nurses and caregivers are nice and are good at their jobs. My father is not into activities, so he does not do a lot, but they do encourage him to join a few activities. Everything is positive!

We visited Benchmark at Split Rock, and it was excellent. We liked the level of care and the level of independence. We thought the rooms were excellent. One of the features that we appreciated was the locking medical supply safe where the nurse could come in and open it. The facilities were clean. There were no odors. The person who assisted us -- Mariane -- was excellent. We liked her very much. We thought that our tour was not too long. It was light. The rooms were big, and we thought the food was very good. Overall, we had a very positive feel of putting my dad there. They offered a very wide range of activities.

Benchmark at Split Rock was very nice. I liked the setup in the lobby. I also liked the hallways. They did not look like a hotel. I was more comfortable going through them. The rooms were very nice. The staff that showed us around was very helpful. She showed us everything in the facility, and she answered all of our questions. We were very happy. This was our second choice. I think they were one of the best. I really liked the facility. I would highly recommend it.

When we visited Split Rock (Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock), it was being built. It wasn't ready. It was a new facility. The staff was informative though. The rooms looked nice, but they have just opened the place up. They didn't have the experience having people in there yet. I like the place. I thought it was going to be very good. It was also very clean.

My dad has been in Benchmark at Split Rock for a couple of months now. The rooms are new. They are only six months old. Everything is beautiful and bright. They have activities all day long. They have exercise every day. They have movies at night. There is a walking path you can go on. They have classes, and they have games. There is a lot to do. The staff is very friendly, and they take care of my dad as if he is family. I think they are great. We love it. My dad is very hesitant in wanting to move into an assisted living facility, but once he walks in and feels the mood of the place, he is just so happy there, and that is the best decision he made. It is not dreary at all. The people that work there are really friendly. They make you feel at home and very welcome. The food is very good. He loves the food. It is worth looking into. It changed my dad's life for the better.

Mom will be moving to Benchmark at Split Rock. We chose this for her because it's close to my place. It seemed like a good facility, and the people are happy. It's a brand new building, and everything seems very high end. They have lot of activities, and I think my mom will be very happy there. Their food was also pretty good.
