Solstice Senior Living at Groton was OK. The rooms were small. They were more apartment-looking. There was a nice community center downstairs. It seemed to be nice. There seemed to be a lot of staff. I don't think the outside was anything to rave about. There's not a lot of community area outside that we noticed. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Groton. Everybody there seemed cheerful and happy. The place was clean and well-run. The staff was very friendly and very thorough in giving information. There's an activity room. They have clubs for the people who live there. They have an exercise facility, and the grounds are pretty nice, too.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Groton. I thought it was great. I'm excited. It's like a vacation to me. The apartments were a little small. I didn't look at a two-bedroom, but I'm considering it. I liked that everything was included. You could eat there. The staff was fantastic. She was very nice. I didn't see much of anything really going on except they're getting ready for the cookout. They showed us that they had a pool and a library. They showed us different rooms where they had exercised earlier in the morning. The facility was very nice and clean, and I'm impressed.

The rooms need to be upgraded. the side walks around the building are hazardous for anyone to walk. the basement is constantly flooding. the mechanical equipment mainly in the dining area keeps breaking down (equipment is too close to the roofs edge within 6' and no railings. The management raises rent about 9% a year, that is too much and many people left or are leaving including myself. The kitchen staff and servers and housekeepers are very kind and genuine.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Groton. Every morning, they have different group exercises and walks. They provide transportation to the grocery store and have a board that lists all the activities of the day. I think that's great. The staff was fantastic. We went into the first studio, and it was very small. We also visited the other studio, and it was perfect.

The tour I had with Solstice Senior Living at Groton went very well. I liked the facilities. They looked very comforting. They have a food service where you have three meals a day. They have activities. They have transportation to take you to a doctor if need be. So, they have facilities that are needed. The woman who took me on a tour was very energetic and knowledgeable of the facility. So, we appreciate it.

Solstice Senior Living at Groton was the first one we had looked at, but it met our needs. You don't have to shovel snow or cut grass or anything like that, so I'm sure my husband was very pleased with it. They have washing machines, so you don't have to go out of the building to do it. The room is kind of small. We just looked at a one-bedroom, but we will probably start looking at two bedrooms because the square foot is bigger in the two-bedroom. All in all, it was nice, and it was adequate. The staff seemed very nice, and everything was very convenient. We liked what we saw. They seemed very clean, too. The staff was very nice. The lady that waited on us was very knowledgeable and informative of what was going on in their community. The other thing is they have a lot of activities. We have a car, but they have bus rides to different places, so that's convenient. And then they have entertainment and exercise. They had other activities where you could exercise.

Solstice Senior Living at Groton was a very nice place, and it would definitely work for a lot of people that need assistance and want 3 meals a day. They had all kinds of activities there. It was pretty reasonable for the price and what you get. I looked at one of the apartments. It was very nicely kept, but it was a little bit small. It was a wide open room with a closed off bathroom. They had a workout room and a library. They had a private area that you could bring your relatives in, if you wanted to have a birthday party. They had a bus to go different places. There was a board inside the front entrance and in the common areas. There was also a board that tells you all the stuff that they are going to do that week. They also had a day to go to the grocery store.

A relative of mine lives in Solstice Senior Living at Groton. It is very nice and clean. The people are nice, too. They gave us a great orientation and the price was right for us. The rooms are very clean. It's like a family environment. There's laundry on each floor, which makes it very easy for elderly people to reach. If there are any questions, there's an information desk that can help you with anything. They offer occupational therapy in place, which is very excellent. The director is great, the manager is wonderful, and the cooks are very good. I would recommend them. They have a library where they do book discussions. Then they have exercises and lots of different programs throughout the day according to what they want. There are games that they play like bingo, they have movie day, happy hour, and recreational activities. They are just excellent. You can ask questions and they are very polite, very respectful, and patient. They are trying to do activities to make everyone get involved so they know each other more. Visiting hours are good. You can have your car and you can go drive. There are a lot of shopping areas close by. My relative says the food is good. The quantity is way more than enough. It's a restaurant-style so they just sit on tables and there is someone who serves them. If they want to change something, they can change it for them.

Solstice Senior Living at Groton is convenient for me. It has certain things that I'm looking for, but the only thing that I need is just a little bit more living space (a little bit more than 600 feet). I was escorted around in the living quarters as well as near the kitchen and some of the facilities. The staff during the tour was very knowledgeable. When I asked her a question, she answered satisfactorily. From what I saw, everything was clean and in order accordingly. They have a pool table and a sitting area where one can read in quiet, or if you want to do that up in your room, that's fine. It seems to be fairly quiet upstairs. Everything was clean.

We are waiting to move my dad to Solstice Senior Living at Groton. We chose this because the place is friendly and has what he needs, and the price is also a big part of it. But from what I saw, they had a billiard room, movies, a gardening club, and social get-togethers. I only got to speak to the admissions person, and she was very good. When they went to look at the apartment, they asked them what he wanted to set up in his apartment, because somebody had just left the apartment. They would ask color-wise, whether he wanted hardwood flooring or carpeted, and they'd cater it to what he wanted. The staff was excellent.

We were able to tour Solstice Senior Living at Groton. We found the location very, very attractive. It's a non-buy-in with fairly reasonable rentals, but it was over what we would be able to afford at this time. The visit was very successful. We learned a lot, especially about the possibility of a one-bedroom rather than a two-bedroom, which we would need. What we like best was the attractiveness of the size options for the one-bedroom. We were looking for a two-bedroom, but the one-bedroom with kind of a closet space desk possibility was attractive to us, and the fact that it had a full kitchen. However, it's a little bit out of our range by about a thousand, maybe a little more. They have services built in that we don't necessarily think we need at this point, so what we concluded was, that we're not ready to move into senior living just now. The staff who toured us were very personable, very informative, and very perky. They're redoing the older building. They seem to have exercise and recreation rooms and they're planning to move some, so there's a little bit of change there, but it's going to be better from what we've seen. They have courtyards, exercise rooms, a library, a billiard room, a recreation room where you can bring in entertainment, and a sitting room with a library. They're going to move the library to the activities room. They seem to have a lot of activities on their schedule. The main difference for us would be the fact that, if we're on the earlier side of the needing the facilities, make the meal area optional, I think that's a big chunk of the expense. You have to pay for the meals whether you use them or not. They re-done the parking lots and the access, and they're close to shopping. They allow people the flexibility to come in after the gates are closed at 6.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Groton. It was a good experience. Unfortunately, they're under renovation now. They're changing the carpets, and they were painting all the walls. It didn't present itself as you would normally see it, but they have all the facilities that you would need. It's a little bigger than some of the others. They have the similar amenities that everybody else has. They have a dining room, a private dining room, a movie theater, a beauty salon, a library, a card room, and a billiard room.

My parents moved into Solstice Senior Living at Groton. First of all, the director there is wonderful. He took his time to speak with us. He sat down with us, and gave us a lovely tour. The facilities themselves are just excellent, very impressive, and just everyone seemed friendly, and it was just a very nice place overall. We're very lucky they have one apartment with a private entrance, which is just perfect for my parents, and it's great because they have the dog there with them. That makes it just a little bit easier when it's time to go out and walk the dog. It's a really nice apartment, very clean, up to date, and perfectly good storage as well. They offer three meals a day. They have a lovely library area, and a public sitting area. They have activities every day. They have a separate game room where you can go and play games. They've got this very nice, separate kitchen area. If somebody wants to host a private family party -- because the apartments would be a little small for more than two or three people visiting -- they've got that lovely room as well. Lots of perks, very nice, and updated. They've had crafting activities, movies, and I believe there's a veterans group that meets, and different club like activities. I think there's a gardening club. I know when you walk in, they've got a board there, they've got the activities listed each day, and there's at least three or four activities daily. It's a nice variety.

Solstice Senior Living at Groton exceeded what I was expecting to see. It is very clean, very peaceful and quiet. There wasn't anything that you could complain about, there was nothing like that. Everyone there was super nice and helpful. One of the activities that were going on during the tour, they were playing bingo. On a Friday evening, seniors who were out on the lawn and they had a little church service from the ones that wanted to attend that, and so I saw that going on. I did get to see the new dining hall. During Covid, it was closed, they remodeled it, and they are just now starting to open different things, so everything is remodeled, and it looks nice. I saw the menu. The menu was pretty appetizing. They have a beautician if they want to get their hair done, and then they have a barber. They have a cleaning service that comes once a week, and they will launder the bedding and the towels and things, once a week. There's also a laundry room on either end of the hall for the clients to do their own laundry. In my mother's case, I'll be coming to do her personal items for her. It surpassed what I was expecting, it's a nice place. The staff members were so helpful and nice.

My brother moved into Solstice Senior Living. He is independent, but he has some assisted living in place out of pocket. I think it's a good place. I like the fact that the building facility is nice. What I like least about the place is that, at the time, we were looking for assisted living, and it's not really an assisted living facility, which I thought it was. Their staff is courteous and friendly. My brother has a one-bedroom apartment. It has a kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave. The meals as I understand are good; that's what my brother said. The food is good, but it's not restaurant quality. It's good and decent because they have to cater to their tastes. They keep the place clean.

Solstice was the only facility that would fit in our budget. My brother hasn’t been this happy or active in years. The Facility is well kept though a bit outdated. He hasn’t participated in as many activities as I’d like! When you ask my brother anything about something the answer is always it’s all right! The proof that this place is great is that like Mikey Bruce even likes it and says he loves it here. After unsuccessfully living on his own the past 9 years this has been a pleasure for our family. We love Rosa our home health aid the maintenance staff and housekeeping have been fabulous. Cynthia assured me that this would be the right choice and Boy was it

We have chosen to go to Solstice Senior Living at Groton. They have a wonderful two-bedroom apartment for me and my husband. The staff was very pleasant. One of the things that impressed me compared to other places we had been were that the residents themselves were very outgoing, pleasant, and nice. We chose it because everybody was so friendly and because they had all the amenities that we wanted. The apartment was perfect. Everything was good. Their food was excellent. We enjoyed it very much.

Good people, lots of activities, my dad finds it very nice, enjoys the setting, says the food is fine, no complaints. We joined him for Thanksgiving dinner this year and the food was very good.

The people were very nice. I think the rooms were not quite as nice as other places, but they were satisfactory. Their activities looked somewhat limited but, again, satisfactory.

It was a very nice setting. The people that work there were absolutely excellent, courteous, friendly and seemed to know all the residents. The facility itself looked nice. They were still working on improving it, but it was still very nice. The apartments were in a good size and they had nice views. I was not there during activities, but they said they had activities. They had rooms available if you had family gathering. They had a nice dining room. They were doing some improvements on some of the rooms and in their landscaping.

It is the one we are most impressed with. It was pretty cool outside. The people inside were doing activities. As we walked in the building, they were having exercises. They were really into them, and they were having a good time. We like the room there. It contained a kitchen. They showed us a variety of rooms, but their one-bedroom was impressive because it was laid out nicely. The bathroom was very nice.

It is independent living with more amenities. They have apartments with separate bedrooms and they also have an efficiency with one room. They give you three meals a day. They'll have somebody walk you to your meal if you need that kind of help. They have a bus that will transport you once a week to shopping areas. It's more inclusive and the staff is very nice. What I like best is the services that they offer. They had a pool table, they had movie night, they had card games. It was definitely a lot more amenities.
