My mother stayed at Linden Place Health & Rehabilitation Center for three weeks. The staff was very good and always helping. We didn't have any choice. It was the only opening that we had at the time to get her in. The room was large, clean, and nice. It was a facility setup. It's a very friendly atmosphere. It's right next to the hospital. I didn't eat there. My mom liked the food, though. The dining area had tables and chairs that the residents could go down to; it's a small area. They had activities for the patients. They would do art activities and they would do games.

I have a friend at this facitliy who is dying of cancer. She is getting morphine shots to help her deal with the pain of her tumors pushing up against her organs. The nurse providing the injections insists she is a drug addict. This assertion is disgusting and adding to my friends already intense trauma.

The staff were attentive and answered any questions I had about my grandma. The facility was clean and I did not notice any odors. I would recommend to others. The room was typical of a long term care facility.

Unbelievably dirty, lack of staff and needs a remodel. It was pretty close to feeling like a homeless shelter. Do NOT send your loved ones here. They have old beds and a tube T.V. in the rooms. Shower shared by all the residents with 2 people per room, one TV. Staff seems unorganized and unresponsive to the patients need. We spent 4 hrs here and had my Mom transported out immediately.

Recently had a friend take her husband there for rehab after open heart surgery, she said the place smelled like urine so bad had to have door closed. They didn't have any of his paper work for his medicine or rehab, no one would give her in info on what they were going to do. She said people were sitting in the halls in wheelchairs, it was TERRIBLE, she removed her husband on the third day when she was there 5 hours and no one came in or even offered him lunch. Sounds to me like the state better investigate this place.

i have a resident living there right now and she is being well taken cared of. The nurses and aides definitely build that relationship with their residents that i would like them to have to make them feel comfortable and feel at home. It was hard for my family member to get use to being there but one of the aides went out of her way to make her feel welcome! i would recommend Applewood Living Center to anyone and everyone!!

I have a sister in this facility and I am in disbelief how she is being treated. When I call to speak with a nurse, "no one" ever answers the phone, it rings and rings and there is no answering machine to leave a message. My sister can't answer the phone in her room because the staff keeps it on a table away from my sisters bed and she cant get up and walk to answer it. We have been two weeks now trying to transfer her to another home but the social services staff is being little to no help. I would not recommend that anyone take a loved one to this facility. My sister has bed sores, open sores from the beds, the food is so bad that she will not eat it and we have to bring her food from home or a local restaurant. It's a crying shame that people who need special care have to be sentenced to a facility like Applewood.

I have a family member at applewood and would like to give my comments about the care they receive. If the resident refuses a shower (which is only given twice a week), too bad, can't get another one until your turn. If you have a question for the nurses, they act like they are too busy, you have no right to know what goes on there, or they are rude. Meds were ordered for an infection and it was 7 days before someone noticed resident still didn't have meds and was complaining and no one did anything. Problems in the kitchen with cook, he is tempermental, nasty and rude, and because this goes downhill, so are the people that work in the kitchen.
