Sunrise at Orchard welcomed my wife's parents from the very beginning. During an extremely emotional time... the staff answered questions, explained details ranging from room selection, meals, expenses, etc. The staff demonstrated the foreseeability from prior interactions to anticipate family concerns. I have visited Sunrise roughly fifty times over the past six months, all hours of the day. I have never experienced staff not responding to the needs of the family. Jason, Haley, Paola are just a few of the individuals who have shared kindness, a sincere interest of care and timely communication no matter the circumstance. Thank you for Sunrise's support!

My experience with Sunrise has unfortunately been very poor. First of all, the price they quoted me initially after they evaluated the potential resident was increased right before the contract was signed, because they then said she would need a higher level of care than initially stated. I was fine with that; I wanted her to have the best care, although they should have made that clear initially - there was a bit of a bait and switch there. However, the level of care for my friend, who is bedridden, never reached the level it should have. Her adult diapers were not changed in a timely manner, and she cried from pain when they did finally change her. I have seen her positioned almost off of the bed, in danger of falling, and had to move her myself. One major reason I insisted on a Hoyer lift initially was so she could have a real shower, but Sunrise never gave it to her - hospice jumped in and did many of the tasks that Sunrise should have done and never did. Her trays and phone would be placed out of reach. Her clothing is almost always changed by hospice, not Sunrise. Her laundry would be dropped off but not put away, which my friend certainly could not do. In short, they treated her like she was merely there for assisted living after assuring me that she would be well taken care of as in a nursing home. I spent hours explaining the problem to all levels of management, and if anything, things got worse. I was treated as a nuisance and even told not to communicate with other residents even though by then I had become friends with them. To add insult to injury, Sunrise then raised the price again, without any advanced notice, and backdated it as if they were giving a level of care they never got close to. This is blatantly unethical. I am moving my friend to another facility because of how awful this situation is. I have had to fly into Denver many times because I cannot trust Sunrise to take care of my friend. The nursing, food and the activities are quite nice. It is a shame that their caregiving and management is so poor. If your loved one needs anything beyond basic assisted living needs, please look elsewhere.

My family wants to recognize the incredible and very compassionate care given to my mother Pauline as life started slipping away from her in April of 2023. We, her four children, were all there by her side in her last week and are humbled by the love and humane care provided by the Sunrise at Orchard Reminiscence staff, and the dignity these caregivers showed our mother as she slipped from us. These "humble servants" showed in both actions and words how deeply they truly loved my mother, and they cared for her as if she were their own mother. They checked on her frequently, moved her to ensure was comfortable, and assured us she was not suffering. They spoke to mom, stroked her head, and gave her hugs. We truly do not have words to express the care these people (I call them saints) showered upon mom in her last days. This is not something one can put a price on....it comes from the heart, and I can only say the compassionate care provided to my mother resembles the truest form of sainthood. We will never forget the staff....they will be in our memory forever and we cannot express in words our heartfelt thanks.

I toured Sunrise at Orchard for my mom. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were very nice, too, but the cost was just very out of our range. They had a crafts room. They also had a pool table, which nobody was using, and I asked about that, and they said no one ever uses it. So, it was a waste of space. They had a sunroom, like a very nice patio, but again, I didn't see an interaction with the people there.

Sunrise at Orchard assisted living was very nice and the people were very nice. The residents seemed happy and very communicative to each other which I thought was important. The rooms were nice and I liked the way they were set up. The persons in the rooms had individual control of heat and the cold. They were provided with a refrigerator and microwave. I liked the way the dining area was set up. It was a chatty place, which I appreciated. I liked that there were snacks available during the day for the residents should they want them. The staff who gave me the tour was excellent and gave me information that I was not aware of which was very interesting.

My father has dementia and I was looking for a place where the people were not too far gone. Unfortunately, those people at Sunrise at Orchard were in the late stages of dementia, so it wouldn't be a place for him, because they were just too out of it. It looked clean, nice, and the people were very friendly, but it was not a place for him. The activities in the memory care were next to nothing. They were unable to do anything and it's just very sad, but it was a very pretty, and very clean place.

I really liked Sunrise at Orchard. The rooms were big and spacious and very nicely furnished or not furnished. The dining area was very nice and clean, and the food looked very appetizing. The staff was very nice, friendly, and open, and they answered all the questions I had. It had a very nice location. It looked like it would be a really nice place for my mom.

Sunrise was very nice. It was unaffordable. They did not have many rooms, so they had a small guest list. It was accommodating and nice. The rooms were not large by any means. They were aware of the needs of their residents. They kept them pretty busy. They had a craft room. They do bingo. They had a worship center.

Sunrise at Orchard was very good. The staff was professional and caring, and the place looked very nice. They had a library and a salon. It looked like the folks could order off of a menu or they would make things for them, so generally it seemed like you could get anything you wanted

Sunrise at Orchard is very nice like a hotel, but it’s a little expensive for us. It has a wrap-around porch with rocking chairs that residents can sit on. It’s in a really nice area. It’s next to a library, across the street, there are all kinds of places to eat, and it’s not a real busy area traffic-wise. The rooms are nice-sized. They accept pets, and they have enough staff.

My experience at Sunrise at Orchard was good, and the rooms were good. The staff is very informational, and the food was good. The price was a little bit on the high end, but it was good. The security was good.

We visited Sunrise at Orchard. It was cafeteria-style, so it became a little bit pricey. It’s beautiful, but it didn’t meet my husband’s needs right now. The rooms were beautiful. They were gorgeous. The whole place was gorgeous. The staff was very nice and very friendly. However, my husband needs more care than what we were looking at. We would consider it more if it were all-inclusive instead of cafeteria-style. They had contacted me and asked me if I needed any help, so they have been very helpful. They even gave me information for contacting the Veterans’ Association for help with the fees and stuff. They were very helpful, but it is just not what we need right now.

I went to Sunrise; it was an efficient community, but it was relatively old, and I was not impressed with it. It seemed to be clean and organized. I think one of the problems was parking for visitors. There was nothing that really appealed to me as I walked in.

If I had the chance, I would put my mom at Sunrise at Orchard. The place was excellent. I would highly rate this place. The facility itself was very attractive, and the people were very helpful. I was not able to eat there, but I saw their dining area, and it was very nice.

Sunrise at Orchard was a smaller community. The grounds were very well kept. The staff was friendly. I got homemade cookies when I went there. I did not see any activities while I was there. Everybody was very friendly and helpful, and they did reach out to me to make sure to keep me in the mood because at that point, I wasn't sure what was going on. They were very welcoming.

The staff was super friendly and very accommodating at Sunrise at Orchard. They showed us everything that they had and everything that they could offer. It was nice. I met their director of health who was very personable and had gone through similar situations with their family member. They had a schedule of activities at the front desk. My dad is not a very social person, and they offered to do some one-on-one stuff with him.

Sunrise at Orchard is very clean and very pleasant. The people all seemed to be busy, and the folks that are there for assisted living were all engaged in some kind of activity. So it seemed like a good place. The staff was very good.

Sunrise was well run. It was kept clean. It had all sorts of activities, and it looked like a good fit for my parent. The rooms were all in different sizes, and it was not like everything was the same.

We like Sunrise At Orchard. We visited this facility for my mother. The people there were very nice. It felt like a very warm and very nice community. There was nothing that really concerned us at all with the place. When we were there, there was somebody that was playing music with the residents, and they were singing.

Sunrise at Orchard was very really remarkable. It was pretty pricey, but the facility was immaculate. The rooms were very nice; there were single and double rooms, and she decided that she wanted to be in an apartment. They do have activities all the time, the food was excellent, and the staff that we spoke to was very nice. My only concern about that was the expense.

I thought we had found one at Sunrise. My dad went back there to sign papers to get into the place, and the price they had quoted us was not the price they were telling him. It had gone up like 2,000 a month. However, the rooms were very nice. It was adequate. The dining area was very nice as well. They had all kinds of stuff, like bingo. They should make sure the quote is the actual price.

Sunrise has a better location, but I didn’t like it because everything there was grumpy. Some people went up the front desk and were complaining. The atmosphere was not good and the rooms were extremely small.

I visited Sunrise Senior Living's Littleton, CO campus, also known as "Sunrise At Orchard" originally because of its prominent curbside appeal. It has a very attractive and cozy-looking white, wraparound porch where I had often seen residents sitting and talking to one another through the spring and summer. Just from driving by time and time again, I could sense that the residents seemed to be well-cared for and content. Upon making the decision to tour the facility and learn more about it, we entered the secured lobby and was immediately taken back by the beauty of the main entrance. We were greeted promptly by someone from their administrative staff who welcomed us and then found someone to give us a tour. I studied the faces and demeanor of the residents that we met and they seemed to be very friendly and social. We arrived close to dinner time and the residents were dressed well and groomed beautifully, and enjoying time around the tables in the dining hall chatting with friends over dinner. I spoke with many of them about their experience there and many of them gave me positive feedback. The amenities, which seemed to be many but I can't remember them all, included daily opportunities for exercise, group trips, as well as social events held there from time to time for the enjoyment of the residents. It seemed to me that they invited guests in to play music, special speakers, authors, etc. I didn't take any notes, but these were the things that stood out to me. If you are looking for an assisted living center to visit in the Littleton, CO area, this might be one to add to your list.

In a word, mixed. The day staff was relatively indifferent to my mother-in-law's needs, but the night staff was good. They generally left her to her own devices, which usually was ok, but sometimes she needed care that she did not get. After she was released from hospice care they suddenly raised all of the fees although the level of care she received did not change.Meals were nutritious, but not what older people generally want. Breakfast for dinner is key to success, but they wanted to serve meat and potatoes every day.
