The best thing about Good Samaritan Society-Fort Collins Village is that they let us be as independent as we could. I also like our chaplain. The building is 40 years old, but they have kept it up extremely well. I have a one-bedroom and one bath. The living room and kitchen are one (the kitchen is on one wall). I think our chefs are very good and they try to make special meals for us, like for holidays and so forth. They are very accomplished chefs. Then they have a chapel here, there are exercise classes, and depending on the season, they have a lot of other things like bringing in some entertainers. However, since the pandemic, we have replaced the entire upper level of administration. They're all new and still learning and trying to figure out the best. I think their hearts are in the right place, but it just isn't the same. When it comes to transportation, I need it to be more dependable because the independent living only gets to use it when the assisted living or nursing care don't need them.

I liked the facilities at Good Samaritan Society-Fort Collins Village. It's nice and they had specific things for quality of life that were going to be good for my mom-in-law, like an indoor pool, community gardens, a chapel on site, lots of different activities, and a good meal plan. The floor plans, the whole thing was just really nice. There are nice walking paths, a full state-of-the-art exercise room, a little library, places where people can gather in groups, and a nice dining room. The staff seemed very nice. The ones that we met seemed to care about the residents and enjoyed their jobs. They were very nice and engaging.

My friend started out in the nursing unit. She was moved to hospice two weeks ago. I am heart broken and trusting God to keep my anger in check. I have called the switch board several times, many times no one answers, nurses stations everyday, left messages and phone number. NO RETURN CALL. I've talked with the head nurse to be told "we have no staff at the stations. This has been a month! So, so very sad.

We have our mom at the Good Samaritan in Fort Collins, and she seems very happy there. They are nice people, they try to keep everything safe. They seem very passionate, and they're a Christian organization. They also seem to be conscious of the residents' safety. Every time I call there, the nursing staff seems to have no problem getting hold of her. They've just really been helpful. She seems to be fine with the food. All of her dietary needs are being looked after because she is diabetic. The best thing she likes is the birds. She likes to go outside and spend some time alone out there and watch the birds. They have game days, a time when she can go to the gym, and they let her roam around in her wheelchair. They don't really let her roam around too far but they let her travel around the facility. According to her, the people who take care of her there are super nice.

If I were to do it over again, I would NEVER bring my family member here. Numerous visits to ER, and Hospitalizations due to staff error. There are SOME amazing people here, but no enough to make a dying person's last years or days peaceful. Working with most upper level management is like talking to a brick wall...no one likes to be lied to.

My brother, sister and I have found the Good Samaritan Ft Collins Village, to be the perfect choice for our mother. She constantly tells us about the wonderful staff that stop by several times a day and how happy she is living in community. Moving mom into the facility we were unaware of all her care needs, but after a few weeks, it became evident she needed her medications administered, more assistance walking and bathing, and healthy meals regularly. The nurses/staff contacted us and addressed the concerns they had and "we" decided on a plan that best suited mom. All in an effort to keep her safe and independent as possible. We so appreciate the Christian love that permeates the campus and decisions made. News letters, Covid19 updates, emails and phone calls keeps us informed and feeling secure about mom's wellbeing. Best of all, mom has her kitty living with her! David, Kathleen and Linda

My mother has been at Good Samaritan for 6 years. I have knowledge of other facilities and I highly recommend this facility. The staff is excellent and they have done an outstanding job during the pandemic especially. The most common complaints at all facilities is the food. The food here is acceptable and as good as you will find when compared with other facilities. During the pandemic, they are delivering the food directly to the residents in their room.

We wanted a place that had both assisted living and skilled nursing in the same facility. The rooms at Good Samaritan are small, but it's nice. I'm very pleased with the staff. I have no complaints. My wife said the food was pretty good.

The Good Samaritan Society is a very clean, very comfy, very homey, and very nice facility. The people are so kind, gentle and very honest. They assess and evaluate the individual to make sure it's a good fit for both the individual and the facility, which I think is very important. And they've handled that well.

The experience was very positive, there were a lot of amenities for the residents, and a lot of staff on hand to field issues. The facility itself was in very good condition, it was clean, presentable, and had a very welcoming, calming interior as well. My Great Aunt seemed to be very comfortable there, and was able to watch her daytime television shows, and also socialize with her friends in a communal area in the facility during the day. She was cold at one point, and asked for a blanket, and was immediately given one.
