About Cathedral Plaza in Denver, Colorado

Cathedral Plaza is a HUD Apartment. HUD residents usually pay 30% of their gross income for rent. The rent amount, less approved HUD deductions such as medical and child care expenses, and other allowances, includes a utility allowance. HUD Residents also may choose to pay what is known as flat rent. The HACC works with applicants to determine which rent arrangement is best for them. Cathedral Plaza offers affordable housing for the elderly and has been subsidized by the Housing and Urban Development Division. The complex is located conveniently close to the Colorado State Capital, interstate 70, and Civic Center Park. Various dining venues are easily accessible. The children's Hospital of St. Joseph is also nearby, as is the Denver Zoo. The complex is managed by Archdiocese Housing, an affiliate of Catholic Charities, which works to provide affordable, service-enriched housing for those who cannot afford to pursue decent, healthy housing in the ordinary market. They maintain a commitment to excellence and seek to serve, focusing not merely on housing individuals but on building communities, as well. Cathedral Plaza provides Senior apartments. Cathedral Plaza is a low rent apartment in Denver. This apartment provides low income seniors with homes. This does not necessarily mean that the entire apartment complex is low income. This only means that the apartments provide for some low income apartments. The government gives funds directly to apartment owners such as Cathedral Plaza. The apartments lower the rents they charge to low-income tenants. It is up to the apartment owners to decide how many apartments are available here at the low cost apartment rate. To qualify for these apartments, you can earn no more than the income limit which is specified by the apartment when you apply for vacancy. Call or visit the Cathedral Plaza management office to apply for openings. We urge you to call as most low income apartments nowadays have waiting lists. You will need to call them to find out current rates as they are also subject to change. We provide apartment rates where possible, but they are always subject to change as there are specials and other discounts available at different times of the year.
