My husband went from home to urgent care to emergency room to hospital to rehab to hospital to rehab (not a typo - hospital to rehab twice) to assisted living in a little over a month, a very confusing and difficult sequence of events for him. The staff at The Lodge at Palmer Point have remarkable skills for helping him learn to live in an assisted living setting. They are making adjustments daily as they work toward a comfortable routine for him. It is such a relief to me to know he is being taken care of by competent, caring people. Linda, the owner/administrator, is the epitome of problem solving skills. In addition, she is empathetic and kind; an example of her kindness is that she has found someone to play cribbage with my husband. I appreciate the personal care my husband is getting in this residential setting with a small number of residents and an excellent staff. I am extraordinarily glad that there was a room available at The Lodge at Palmer Point when I needed one for my husband.

About The Lodge at Palmer Point Residential Assisted Living in Colorado Springs, Colorado
The Lodge at Palmer Point is what you are looking for when you think of Luxury Residential Assisted Living. The house boasts 10 Bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a great room complete with a grand piano, a comfy-cozy family room, and an oversized fish tank to calm and entertain you for hours. We are perfect for someone who needs help with their daily living activities - but they DEFINITELY don't want to feel like they are in a sterile, uninviting, and oversized nursing home. It was originally built as a private home and is located on a quiet street right next to a beautiful city park by the Colorado Springs Country Club golf course. It is a charming and unique place in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood with 700 acres of Palmer Park as its backyard. We are licensed for 8 beds for Residential Assisted Living and we have 2 additional suites available for Independent Living. We will want to work with you to understand your needs and develop a specialized care plan to serve your loved one. This includes all activities of daily living. All the suites are oversized with each one having a unique layout and style to make you immediately feel like you are someplace special. We also prepare true home-cooked meals every day, every meal. If you have a special meal you are craving, we will work to prepare it for you. Take comfort in knowing we have a loving and caring staff ready to help. Our mother was in a larger facility in Colorado Springs but she fell and had to go on hospice so she was moved to the Lodge at Palmer Point. They have been a blessing to us in their care for our mom, their interactions with the family and they give us, almost daily, updates of how our mother is doing. Since this is a smaller facility with less residents our mother has adapted very well and is less agitated. The staffs help and communication is very good. We are pleased with The Lodge at Palmer Point.

The facility owner and her staff have been top notch all the way! My experience with them has been wonderful as they provide care for my mother as she nears end of life and given some of the health challenges we have had with her in the process. The staff have always been very patient, supportive and kind with her and are very communicative with me. They take the time to get to know their residents on a personal level and engage them in daily activities and conversations etc. The facility is always well kept and clean along with good home cooked meals for the residents. The rooms are very spacious with their own bathrooms and comfortably home like instead of institutional feeling and she has a beautiful view too. They have been a positive bright side in an otherwise difficult time and transition for her and our family! We were very fortunate to have found this facility and I have already recommended them to other people and coworkers as well.

My father moved into The Lodge at Palmer Point Residential Assisted Living. I like the smallness of the community. The administrator is just wonderful. I found the staff that's there to be very helpful and friendly. I think they're more caring than in other places. The way I see them interact with the other residents gives me a good idea of how they probably interact with my dad when I'm not there. They respond to them if they say something or ask for something. The room is a generous size with its own private bathroom. I just love the 2 windows. He's got a beautiful view and it's very nice. They had a musical event on Thursday. Some musicians came and the residents were all gathered around. There were some family members, too. There was a spread of food, fruits, vegetables, and some sweets. It was out on the back patio and it was super nice. On the main floor, they have a huge living room, a sunroom, a covered patio, and a dining area. Downstairs is another living area. There's also a bar in the kitchen.

Spacious rooms offering flexibility for some personal furniture. Great nursing and administrative staff. Games, theme meals, group movies and other activities. For those that have a cat, they offer that option.

My 92 yr old father suddenly needed more attention than his current large assisted living had the staffing to provide. Luckily we found The Lodge at Palmer Point. It is a house with a maximum capacity of 8 residents. This combined with the competent and caring management/staff is the perfect fit for dad. He has his own spacious room and private bathroom plus the ability to interact with other residents and use the rest of the house if he wishes. We are very pleased with the choice of this smaller assisted living environment!

It was very nice and looked homier than most other places. They only had eight people in the whole place.
