My father-in-law was at Summit Glen two years ago and it was fabulous. The facility was very well-kept and very clean. I ate with him a few times down in their dining room and the food was delicious. All of the residents were really friendly and very welcoming. The people who worked there were always helpful. If we needed anything, they were on it for us, to take care of whatever needs we had. They have a beauty/barber shop on-site and a theater room where they would show movies and sometimes they had game nights there for the residents or arts and crafts activities going on. They had a room with a pool table where they could play pool. They had card games going on sometimes. Community people would come from outside the home and go there and do recitals like they had a big piano in their entryway and they would put on recitals. My father-in-law had a one-bedroom apartment. He had a pretty nice little living room area that was attached to a kitchenette. There were no ovens, but there was a refrigerator, a counter, a sink, and some cabinets. It was big. In his little kitchen area, there was enough room for a table and four chairs. Then his bedroom was a nice size. It was great. I love the windows. He had nice big windows and then the bathroom was very roomy. If you needed assistance, you could easily get 2 or 3 people in there to help you. They had a walk-in shower, so you didn't have to step over anything to get into it. I think housekeeping came by and they kept it very clean and very nice. Their prices were comparable to everybody else.

The tour I had at Summit Glen was good. It was very complete. The tour guide showed me all parts of the facility, and he was very friendly. I think the kitchen needed to be upgraded a little bit. They allowed personal items in the hallway outside the residents' doors, and the doorways were not inset. They didn't have the little alcoves. And so, my question was whether or not that's a good idea as far as fire code and trip hazard. They did send me out with a very nice fruit and cookie tray. I felt like the stairwells and the hallways were kind of stuffy, and there was not adequate ventilation.

We went to Summit Glen. It is independent living, so there is no assisted living or memory care there. They have set mealtimes. It was a rather slow delivery of the food, but the food was good. They have a very nice library. The library comes and brings in books once a week. You can order books online and all that, so that was nice. They have kitchenettes. It seems like all rooms have balconies or patios. Good neighborhood. They have carports and garages available. They have views of the mountains. They have a lot of activities, so that's nice for independent living. When you're looking for independent living, you want activities that are not indoors or sitting in a room, playing a few games. You want things where you get out and do things, and at Summit Glen, they get out and do things, which is nice. The staff, Jessica, was wonderful during the tour. She had to ask a resident if we could see their room because they are at 100% capacity. We got to view residents' rooms. They were very kind to let us walk into their place and look around and see what they were like. They have cord pulls in bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. So, they have some sort of medical on-call things.

My mother lived at Summit Glen for over 4 years until her recent passing. My family were always very pleased with her living arrangements. She had a nice 1 bedroom apartment on the ground level with a nice patio. She went for weekly appointments with Mary the beautician and enjoyed her interaction with other residents. We ate with her occasionally and the food was excellent. Having the managers or assistant managers on duty 24/7 was a big plus for us since we were always sure that mother could get help anytime she needed it. All of the staff were very attentive and caring.

My parents will be moving into Summit Glen next month. My mom had known people that had lived there and they were very happy there. It is just a very nice place. It has a good feel to it. It has everything they wanted. It is also on the side of town they used to live on, so they're more comfortable there. The apartments are very nice, they're getting a 2-bedroom 2-bath. The menu is unbelievable. We have not eaten there, but there was food and it looked excellent. Because of Covid, the dining area is not really open. They have a full schedule of activities, they have a small gym, exercise classes, and arts classes. They have outings when all of this ends where you can go places. They have a movie theater where you can watch movies together. They have people that will come in and play the bingo or play piano. They offer all of that and it seems really good. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are nice.

Our family wants to express our appreciation to the Mgr, Natalie and Allen, for the outstanding care and support for my 83 year old mother and all of the residents. They are constantly checking on the residents welfare and ensuring health and safety within the facility. We know that mother is safe and very comfortable. We support mgt's strick procedures during the covid19 pandemic. Thx a million for all you do.

My mother has lived at Summit Glen for over 3 years and we both love the community. She has a very bright 2 bedroom apartment with a wrap around porch which she enjoys in nice weather. She uses the beauty shop, enjoys bingo and has developed many friendships. She enjoys the good food and most of all the excellent administrators!

There is no better value in the Colorado Springs area. I would live at Summit Glen, too, if I was retired!

I've been a resident of Summit Glen for two years and moving here was one of the better decisions I've made in life. The facility is clean and well maintained; my room is on the second floor and opens to a patio and a wide expanse of Lawn area; and House keepers provide scheduled cleaning services. Management is superb and is available 24/7. Managers live on site and really care about the well being of residents. I've been able to stay as busy as I wish to with activities and games provided each day. The availability of a library, exercise room, chapel and TV room have met my personal needs. Though I have not had a need for their services, Physical therapist are positioned in the facility. For those who have a need, a beauty parlor is available. I currently drive, but should I be unable in the future a bus is on hand to take me to appointments and shopping. The food is well prepared and I'm very happy here. When ever the opportunity presents its self I recommend that seekers of a retirement community give Summit Glen a look.

Summit Glen is overall fabulous. The staff is excellent. My mother is enjoying everything there. They have activities, workout centers, concerts, health checks, and tours. Her room is fabulous, has good space, and very open. She's very comfortable and happy where she's at.

Summit Glen was a very friendly place. They have three different meals at three different times when I was there, and they were all very good. It was a great place. The big plus is it's three blocks from where my daughter lives. Everybody said they loved it there. I have not heard one negative word said about the place. It's an excellent community. It's a fairly new building with beautiful grounds, a wonderful staff, and very friendly people. I would certainly recommend it to my friends.

We liked Summit Glen very much and had a good tour. The staff members were excellent. It was easy to get to. We saw the nice one-room and two-rooms. The whole place was very clean and very nice. We liked the location. We were impressed. I would recommend them.

I thought Summit Glen was very nice. My experience was very good. They took us on a tour and I got to see everything. I think the facility has a lot recommended for people that are looking. They had an exercise room and several different apartments. I had lunch, and I enjoyed it very much. The staff assisted me by being very gracious and answering all my questions.

My sister is in Summit Glen. They have a very caring staff and nice rooms and apartments. The food is excellent. They have pool, card games, ceramics, painting, trips to different places, and, of course, bingo. The dining set up is very nice. It all seems very nice.

Summit Glen is clean, and the staff is very friendly. We had some special adjustments we wanted to make for my mother, and they were very cooperative and helpful and got everything done that we asked them to do. My mother thinks the food is absolutely delicious. She loves the food. I've only seen a couple of rooms, but the one my mother chose is spacious, and it's great. It has a beautiful view of the mountains. The management is friendly. The husband and wife seem to care about the residents who live there, and they tease with them and have fun with them. It seems like a big family, so it seems good at this point. They have lots of different kinds of activities, like fieldtrips and arts and crafts. She's only been there for two weeks.

Summit Glen was very nice, it's only 5 years old, and they only have the independent living. The dining facility was beautiful. I love the fact that the managers live on-site. They were wonderful, and the facility was very clean and very welcoming.

Summit Glen Gracious Retirement Living was very new, up-to-date, and very friendly, but I didn't think they had as much of a selection of menu items. They basically just had one meal and one alternative that they were serving. They did not have any option for cooking your own meals.

My stepmom was interested in Summit Glen. The facility itself is very nice. It’s relatively new. It’s nicely decorated. It has nice carpeting and nice paint. They had incredible move-in incentives. Their workout facility is a small room with a stationary bike and a treadmill, not too much. They have a lot of activities and there were little flyers that they put out every month that had pictures of all the residents participating in the various activities. I was not impressed with the food because I am gluten-intolerant and they make no accommodations for any special diet. We had lunch in the common dining area and the food was nice enough. Almost all of their apartments only have a kitchenette, so residents are all encouraged to be eating in the dining room and to be out socializing and doing things, which is good. The kitchenette was just a space with a small refrigerator, a sink and a few cupboards. There is something about Summit Glen that I cannot define but the energy is bad. It’s very draining.
