My father has moved into Broadmoor Court Assisted Living. It seemed bright and felt like a happy place when we went in. The staff seemed very helpful and kind. It was also Medicaid certified, so that's partly what we were looking for my father, and I felt like it was just a nice facility and it seemed like it met all of his needs. He has a room to himself right now. It's two rooms, so it's like a living room, a kind of bedroom area, a small bathroom, and in the entryway, it has like a refrigerator or you could have a microwave in there if you wanted. And it has closet space. One time when we were going there, they had bingo going on. They seem to have many activities. They take people to the store at least once a week, either like Walmart or Dollar Tree or something. It sounds like they go on scenic drives around the town, and they bring in entertainment and things like that for people. We're just really new to the community, but everything I've seen so far, I've been pretty happy with. It seemed like everybody I met was very helpful, kind, patient, and understanding. I have a good feeling about the staff. Part of the reason we chose that facility is because it's very clean and kept up well. It was more money than my dad was hoping to pay. One of the first places we saw that was only Medicaid was terrible and I would not have my father go there, so I knew it was going to cost a little bit more money to have something a little bit more decent. Overall, assisted living is expensive.

I went to tour Broadmoor Court Assisted Living. I liked that it was so spacious and I know that everything there was structured in terms of scheduling. They had breakfast, lunch, and dinner scheduled at certain times of the day. Everything seemed to work out to a tee. My aunt personally didn't like it just because the atmosphere was a bit more like a nursing home, I guess. It seemed a bit more medical. The staff during the tour was engaging. We just had to wait at the front desk for a little bit and she took care of us from there, and gave us a tour of the whole facility. They showed us around, and gave us a couple of sample rooms to look at, and it was a smooth tour. The dining room was very open, so I could see why my aunt didn't like it so much. She likes to keep her meals to herself. She likes to be private sometimes. The dining area was right next to the main lobby where you enter. They have an elevator down to the main floor where the dining area is and from there, everything is congregated. The facility looked very nice and very well-kept. They have certain areas for the residents to roam and just do exercise outside. Everything there was very well kept. They had their own garden and everything. It's just, for my aunt, it wasn't homey enough.

I had an in-person tour of Broadmoor Court Assisted Living. The tour was very nice. It seemed like the staff was very knowledgeable. One thing I was impressed with was, as they walked me through, they seemed to know the names of everybody we ran into, and all the people that were staying there. They knew them personally. They gave me a very thorough tour. I really liked the dining area and the way they set that up. The rooms were nice. They have the shared rooms downstairs and the single rooms upstairs. I got to tour both, and they seemed adequate. They had singers come in and play music. They had church services at particular times of the week, which I was also impressed with. I think they're faith-based assisted living. They told me that they had some exercise-type things, some sitting down, and some not. I know they walk a lot of the patrons. She took me outside and showed me where they would walk when it was warm. You can walk all the way around the place. I know they have different sitting rooms around. There were puzzles, games, and a TV.

I had an in-person tour of Broadmoor Court Assisted Living. I found the place to be quite pleasant, very open space, light, and airy. It seemed like a small community and it seemed intimate. I only spoke with the admissions lady, and she was excellent. Just from my first impression, the facility seemed clean enough. They tried to keep everybody active. I don't know exactly what they do, but it was like they have activity. I was able to see the rooms, and the setup was a double occupancy. It's not ideal because they don't have a whole lot of privacy with each other, so that is probably the only downside.

Broadmoor Court Assisted Living was good. I liked the activities that they were doing with the residents. The person that I spoke with was very kind and she did a great tour. The shared rooms were really small and some of them were close to the hallway. Mom currently lives in Colorado Springs, so it'd be an easier move than Pueblo.

Broadmoor Court Assisted Living was the least favorable of the four places I went to. The menu there is repeated week after week. There's not much of a selection. The accessibility is not as good as the other ones. The staff was very good; however, a fire alarm went off while I was there. They didn't know what it was right away, and I knew as soon as I heard it. The rooms are cramped. There wasn't much room to maneuver around in each room. There were places to get together and visit with other residents, but getting from one place to another was not convenient.

We went to Broadmoor Court Assisted Living. It was kind of a modified tour, just to kind of keep us away from their common gathering areas. The director of the place was super nice. It was nothing fancy, but it was cozy, clean, and friendly. It had bright light and had sort of an indoor courtyard setting. Everything in the center of the facility was more of an indoor courtyard where you can see two stories up to the skylight, and all of the apartment-living is on the perimeter. We saw the menu and it looked like basic comfort food. It's like a small, much more intimate experience where you'd know everybody there, rather than being like on a great, big, cruise ship. It's definitely like someone who's single and alone and they wanna really know their neighbors and develop a sense of community with the people they're living with. It's that type of place, but not a place where there's a whole lot to do.

Broadmoor Court Assisted Living was OK. I only spoke to one person, and nobody was talking to anybody else. It didn't have that welcoming feeling. The place didn't hit me as being a good one. The person only showed me one room so it wasn't a very good tour, but she did answer all my questions.

We had a nice visit at Broadmoor Court. I really liked the downstairs. When you walk in, it's a long hall sectioned off to a dining area, TV area, and activity area, but it's all open. It reminded me of a motel in the way that you look upstairs and you can see the rooms. I didn't like the bedroom at all. You had to pass one person to get to the other area of the room, so it didn't feel right and I didn't like the setup. They had housekeeping and the aides who took care of the people. The downstairs area was open for everybody and it's nice, and it also had bedrooms on the lower level. The staff was very friendly and nice. It seemed like an older place but very clean.

We had an appointment at Broadmoor Court, and the person who usually does the tours wasn't there, and they weren't terribly interested in talking to us because they had a full house. It's an older facility, but it's nice enough. The layout of having two people to a room and then one person having to walk through the other person's to get to their place was not very conducive. That layout was pretty crappy. They could do a better job of designing that facility in the future. They had entertainment going on that was nice and the staff was nice enough. The cleanliness was there but the layout of the rooms was awful.

I am the daughter of a resident that lives in Broadmoor Court. When initially visiting assisted living facilities, Broadmoor Court stood out above the rest for our needs/wants. It was not too large or too small, maybe 60 residents, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I felt that my parent would be comfortable here, be well cared for in a safe environment, and actually find enjoyment at this level of living. PROS: the staff, the types of activities offered, the layout and cleanliness of the facility, the meal options. CONS: the staff is great but they appear critically understaffed at this moment (believe they are in the hiring process now), the front room of a shared apartment is too small to be considered a room and has very little privacy. So thankful my parent is not in a front room. The length of time it takes to process a change in medication. All in all, the PROS way outweigh the CONS and I would highly suggest visiting this facility if you are looking for assisted living.

Broadmoor Court is the same with the other community, but I like that it has the dining area right there when you come in. I also like that all the rooms are right off the dining room, so it is very easy for the residents to get to their meals. They take their residents off for outings, and they have exercises in the morning. The place is close to shopping.

We chose Broadmoor Court primarily because my friend in the future will need to be on Medicaid, and we did not want her to move again. Their staff is very caring, kind, and efficient at getting a resident in and settled. The food is OK. They have bingo and shopping. Overall, their activity level is good. The rooms are lovely and have a bedroom with a living room. She loves the room.

Broadmoor Court was very nice. Their apartments were twice as much as I was paying for my husband, but they do have assisted living. So, if my husband had to go to assisted living, that would be the place I would seriously consider. Their dining room was beautiful. They treated me very nice, and they followed up with me. They were a smaller facility. They do not have the amenities like the ones that my husband was in, but their people probably do not require the amenities.
