Centura Health Progressive Care Center is a full nursing facility, so my husband had medical and other services that a nursing home provides. A lot of the staff members were very thoughtful and compassionate. However, things were so confusing. When he left there, he had clothes that didn't belong to him. He had a roomate for a while because they thought that might help him be less restless. He was always wearing his roommate's clothes and shoes because of his dementia. The staff just didn't take care of his clothes like I would. I was never inside. We were only able to visit him through a window outside. They would bring him out to a little solarium at the entrance, and they would open a window and we'd talk to him outside. We're not allowed at the patio. It's right next door to the hospital, so the location was OK.
