My mother-in-law is in Sunset Manor. They do rehab all way through Alzheimer's care. They seem to be on top of everything, and they keep in contact with the family. They've got a physical therapy department, an exercise room with trained staff, and crafts. They go to Wal-Mart and around town. I'm not entirely happy with their communication, including the doctors who take care of these residents. I ask for things, but I don't always get it.

My dad is in nursing care at Sunset Manor in Brush. We're just not happy with the service and everything that we're getting there, especially for the price that they're charging. The facility is alright; the way the building is and everything, it just looks like an older building. The staff is never the same. There's always a different nurse and staff there, and I go in every week. I don't know what the turnover is. They're friendly and nice, but I don't know how well they're doing. I know that getting a hold of somebody is difficult. It took me over a month to get a bill. Now, I'm trying to get a meeting to see exactly what they're doing medically with my dad, and I just kept getting answering machines. My dad's on a liquid diet right now, so I have no idea how the food is there. They do church services there, and that's the only activity I know. I'm sure they've got other ones there, but I only go in on Sundays. I haven't been able to talk to anybody very much or anything, they really need better communication. I don't even know how well they communicate with residents. They could probably update things a little bit inside too, if they're charging as much as they're charging.

Staff are rude and disrespectful to the residents. They do not care about then at all.

My relative is having skilled memory care at Sunset Manor. She's getting her needs met because she is so far into the stage of dementia. The human services chose that and put her there about May 17th. The service is average. I'm not impressed, but she is getting her needs, and we are unable to find a facility closer at this time. We weren't able to eat with her, but we watched her eat and watched the food that was delivered to her, and it was OK. I don't have a choice at this point about getting her moved because it's hard to find a memory care up here in this area that has a bed available. She was not responsive in any of the activities and was totally oblivious to what was going on.
