My mom is now at Wildwood Canyon Villa. It's a nice facility and the staff is very accommodating. She seems happy with the food, although it seems bland to me, but I don't have the requirements as some of these folks do. They have activities like bingo, Yahtzee, crafts, and things that definitely keep them busy. They just remodeled her room before we moved around, so it was perfect. All these places are expensive, although it's the care you're paying for. They have a family dining room in case you want to have a birthday dinner or something like that. Then they have the activity rooms, they have the main dining room, and several areas outside where you can walk or sit. She's on the assisted living, and they have memory care on the other side.

Wildwood Canyon Villa was a private residence. It was really nice, and the staff was very friendly and informative. The room reminded me of a hotel room, and it seemed accessible. The place looked clean.

I saw Wildwood Canyon Villa, and I didn't like it. It was farther away, harder to get to for us, and they seemed like a funeral home. It was very quiet, and I didn't think my mother would do well there. They had exercise, movies, some limited outings, and it was much more expensive than the other facilities. Most of the residents were older, immobile, or needing assistance.

My father is in the memory care at Wildwood Canyon Villa. We love the place, he's happy there, and he's doing good. It's fabulous. They have a higher worker per patient ratio than the state requires. They treat the guests with respect and dignity. They're very friendly and extremely helpful to families. They have homemade meals, not canned food. They have activities and a bus that takes them everywhere. We have talked to residents and their families, and we have yet to hear a bad thing about it. It looks like a resort hotel inside. We had dinner there, and the food is five stars. My stepmother is in their assisted living section. They have aides constantly on the floor to help them with whatever they need, help them bathe, and check on them every couple of hours 24/7. They take them on picnics, they go on outings, they do activities, and they have access to the group TV and movies. She loves it there. She doesn't have to worry about taking baths alone anymore, and she loves all the people there. She and Dad have the same nurse. There's a continuity of care.

My mother-in-law has been in Wildwood since Easter. It's a very nice place, very clean, and very well run. They're very attentive, and they've really done a good job, helping us through the whole process as we put her in and come to visit her. She seems to be adapting pretty well. She's in a 1-bedroom studio with a small kitchenette. She took her own furniture and has her own items around her as far as decorations on the wall, which meant a lot to her. They're nicely done, clean, and well appointed. She has access to the shower without any problems or edges to climb over. They also come in once every couple of hours to check on her, make sure she's all right, and see if she wants to go and do any of the activities, like crafts, singing, exercises, bingo, and trips. There's a patio that she goes out and sits on. Her room has a nice view, too. They assist her and make sure she's showering. It's been positive for the son and daughter to go in and find her in a safe situation where she's got her things around her.

Wildwood Villa was clean and caring, and had lots of activities, like games, workouts, church once in a while, card games, and things like that. Years ago, my mother-in-law lived there, and I thought it was good. I don’t think she had any specific complaints. Occasionally, she would complain that the food was boring, but they all do that. I would definitely recommend it and have recommended it to other people.

Wildwood Canyon Villa is closer to my relatives, so that is a plus on their part. I cannot say anything bad about them. They are good. They attend to my mother’s needs. She is more like a faculty than a resident. They let her talk with them and sit with them, and they are making her feel as comfortable as possible. On their birthdays, anybody with the same birthday in a month, they would bring them out to the main dining area, and they have music and a birthday cake; and it is just really nice. They treat her well and are there for her when she needs them. They are excellent and very amenable to whatever the residents want.

Wildwood Canyon Villas looks ok. The rooms are nice and private. But, it's pricey and they take advantage of situations to raise your monthly rent. There were a lot of times you couldn't find any help in the ALZ unit. They do have an automatic locking door. Huge lack of communication and oversight of the 2 LVN's and the caretakers. Our family removed our father for ongoing problems with lack of basic care. You never really could trust the facility even though the care providers were nice enough.

Wildwood Canyon Villa was nice and clean. They had a lot of activities and a lot of different wings for partitioning off different classifications of patients. Overall, I found it to be OK. It was older but not really old. The staff was respectful but just didn't sell me on the place.

Wildwood Canyon Villa was clean and had a great appearance, but I didn’t think they lived up to their promise. They sometimes cannot get a decent meal. The rooms were very nice and very clean but a little pricey. I’m not sure if it’s understaffed or if the staff is just AWOL, but it always seems like they were never around when you need them. My mother-in-law was there for a time.

I found the staff at Wildwood Canyon Villa very professional and caring. The rooms were setup with a private room and a bath between so that my husband shares a bathroom with another man on the other side. The windows face out to a nice courtyard. It’s small and not too big, with several common areas where the people can sit and watch TV or do different kinds of activities. It’s just the right fit for him. He’s adjusting well, and I’m very pleased with the facility. He said the food is good, and they have snacks in between the meals.

We went to Wildwood Canyon about a month ago. It was good. They were very professional, we liked everything, and we enjoyed the facility. We thought that if it ever gets to the point where my dad is at the same level as my mother is, they will both go into memory care. Security was very good. I liked the fact that you had two different security levels. You have memory care where they are in a locked-down facility, they can roam around within their locked confines as opposed to the assisted living where they are more able to pretty much walk outside and do whatever they want, so you have to structure that for someone like my mother. She couldn't be in the walk around freely and go anywhere outside because she might take off. My dad would thrive in that, but we come to the problem that we don't want them separated, and that is why it would not work for us at this point. It was a very nice facility, very professional, and we will go there eventually. I am sure we are headed there, and when my dad progresses to my mom's level, this is where we are going to go.

My mom didn't care for this place called Wildwood Canyon Villa. It kind of reminded you more of a hospital than a place to live.

Everything is going very well at Wildwood, though it's a little pricey, but we decided to put my dad there. The rooms are very nice and clean. I can’t say anything bad about it. They go on bus trip at least once a week, have ice cream socials and church services, and they have a number of different things. The dining area is clean and the food is good.

I found the director Lynnell very caring and knowledgable. The facility offers care and respect for their residents. The programs they offer for all different levels of residents. I am excited that my parents will be living there. The facility offers family evolvement ,can't wait for Halloween and the great grand kids to participate in the costume contest and treat or treat festivities.

I don't like Wildwood Canyon Villa but I have to say the girls that are within contact with my mom are very nice and friendly. I don't have much good to say about the personnel staff. I did find negative marks as far as the facility's legal status. The director of the facility does not have the appropriate credentials to be running that place and she has been cited by the State of California for being in violation of that. Not only that but the fact that the people that hired the director are allowing this to continue. I am not pleased with that place at all and I wanted my mom out of there.

This is a beautiful community! Both assisted and memory care are available. The residents are happy and have excellent care and the staff is just wonderful. We are definitely moving in soon!
