If I could give more stars I would, my dad got to live here at Holiday Golden Oaks. It has been a perfect little Gem. The staff is absolutely amazing! The resident are all so caring and watch out for eachother. The Channan group that also worked to help with my dad because he was not too independent they are all so loving, caring, flexible, they treat your loved one like family. All in all everyone in this building is my new family. They are very clean. The food is delicious and perfect size for your loved ones. The activities they do are so much fun. I looked forward to each day to come and visit my dad and all residents and staff. Being apart of this place has made my dad and myself so happy. I highly recommend this place for your loved one! You will not regret it! God bless all of you and once again thank you for everything.

I went to Holiday Golden Oaks. It was very positive. I liked the place. It was a very nice place to be. The only drawback for me where I am now is I can drive my car. I can park at this new place, and get out with my walker to the car and drive it. But there, I wouldn't be able to park near my place. It's not set up that way. And also, you can't cook there, and I still like to cook. But the people were super nice, the atmosphere was good, the food was good, and it was a beautiful place. If I were a little more limited, I would easily move. But right now I'm involved with helping some members of my family that need help in using my place here to help them. So, I just can't move right now. The staff was super nice and special. I looked at a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom. I would prefer to have a two-bedroom if they're available because I paint. I'm an artist and they were beautiful, beautifully done, really nice, nice views even oak trees and stuff.

My Mother will move there when she is ready because the place is extremely clean and well maintained. I can tell The Staff genuinely care about the people who live there. We arrived when lunch was finishing but it smelled delicious and everyone looked satisfied.

We went to Holiday Golden Oaks. The last time we went there and toured, my husband really liked it, but that was before the pandemic. We've been back about a month ago and a lot of things that we liked, they no longer have. For one thing, they had a pool room for playing billiards, and that's one thing my husband likes to do. That wouldn't be a reason to move, but if it had it, that would be nice. They did away with it. They used to have little hydration stations on every floor (they have three floors), and they didn't have those anymore. It was just little things, but when you add them all together, it made a big thing, so they are definitely out, even though prior to us going there that was my husband's favorite. Another thing that they did away with was the rental. If people would come to visit, you could rent for like $70 or $90 a night. They don't have that anymore either. It just seemed that all the little things that we liked or that did appeal to us they no longer have. There was a common room on the first floor. They have no common areas on the second and third floor. It's all just rooms. On every floor they kind of have a little area with a couch and two or three chairs. I would assume that's where the people on that floor could gather if they wanted to. They had a room for church and they had a library. I did see a room downstairs where people were playing cornhole. They had a little rec room, and it was plenty big. The rec room and the dining room were on the first floor also. Other than that, there's nothing that I saw. The lady that showed us around was very knowledgeable and very nice. It was very clean.

I love the family feeling here. With the staff as well as with other residents! There are so many activities that I can barely keep up with all of them! The facility is very clean and whenever there is a problem(plumbing etc) it is always taken care of in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Golden Oaks to my friends!!

The rooms are really well laid out, spacious, and comfortable! Everyone from the other residents to the staff are incredibly friendly and observant. Lots of great interaction with residents who have lovely grounds to walk around along with the activity director who really sets up fun activities. This was an excellent place for my dad to be both independent and surrounded by caring folks so I knew he was safe.

My mothers 1 bedroom suite was very comfortable. Large enough that we were able to keep many of her prized possessions with her there. My mother truly liked the staff, as did I. They were top notch and very caring and was always helpful when anything needed attention. Sheryl, the activities director was fantastic, her exercise and fun games were plentiful and open to all to participate. Live musicians came in and played age appropriate songs and melodies as well as residents showing their musical talents. When my mother was unable to continue driving she was able to take the Golden Oaks bus to neighboring cities and around town. Which she loved. Watching the residents Bowl was always fun, they really got competitive and wanted the prize. I will say that after visiting other communities prior to Golden Oaks. We absolutely made the right decision. We considered all the staff and associates family, and still do. I recommend Golden Oaks to my colleagues when talk of this nature comes up. Manager Alycia has a great staff and they all do really care about the residents. Thank you Alycia, Sheryl, Jessica, Penny, Cynthia, Annie, Efran ,Rueben, Jackie and the Chanan group, and all the rest for 5 years of residency. Phil B.

I visited the facility last week with my Mother and we both felt welcomed and were instantly greeted by the lady at the front desk. We met with the Manager and she answered all our questions and showed us around the place which is beautiful and freshly remodeled and an empty apartment. We encountered many happy, smiling residents along the hallways which says a lot about the place. We had the opportunity to eat lunch with a couple and they raved about the staff and the activities. The menu had a variety of food including 4 options. We throughly enjoyed our visit to this community especially after visiting others that were not as nice, however; the prices is what will keep us from moving my Mother there. Many thanks for the welcoming smiling staff and residents.

My mother and mother-in-law were both residents here, a little over a year each. The rooms are very nice, they have a lot of great activities, and the food is very good. The best thing about Golden Oaks is the people who work there , from management (Alicia is awesome ) on down - everyone including housekeeping, waitstaff in the dining room, even gardeners went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend it, it’s a comfortable, safe, and beautiful place.

The best decision I’ve made for my mom in years was to bring her to Golden Oaks. It was a true relief to find a home for her in a community with beautiful gardens and views, a generous room with space to feel right at home. Alicia and her staff are incredibly kind and always there to help with questions and services from A to Z. They are there to help and have made my moms stay a Golden Oaks feel safe, inclusive and warm at heart as a home should be. It’s a great feeling knowing my mom has made fast friendships with activities offered at The Oaks to bring people together. I highly recommend joining this community for your family members to feel at home and enjoy being in their golden years. Thank you to Alicia and the entire staff !

I cannot say enough great things about Golden Oaks in Yucaipa. My parents decided to go into assisted-living two years ago and they were very hesitant as they had lived on their own up until that time. Alicia, Jessica and the entire team were so welcoming-they truly made a difference in my parents well being-to this day! The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff in the dining room are efficient and all make it a point or get too know all the residents. I recommend Golden Oaks to any child having to make that hard decision with their parent(s). This is a great place to transition and see them flourish.

I have a relative there in a 1 bedroom. It is spacious. This is a retirement home, not assisted living. But, there is an outside caregiving agency here, so any needs you have can be met. The dining room is very large, several options at all 3 meals. There are fun in-house activities. (Field trips happen, too) Any time I have had questions, they have been happily answered by staff. Everyone is nice. There are other amenities, come and see for yourself !

I knew the day I checked this facility out that it would be perfect for my grandma. It is a beautiful place to live with caring people. My grandma loves it there. I have visited during meal times and have never been disappointed! This is my grandma's home now and we love to visit there!!

My brother was a resident at Golden Oaks for 5+ years. During these years, each of the categories below exceeded the expectations for both him & our family. However, the subject that needs to be highlighted is the 'quality of the staff', because it's management that makes a facility. My brother's quality of life and needs was met with the ultimate in professionalism and dignity. When my brother was faced with the many of life's needs he could not perform himself, or issues that called for that certain touch of kindness, Golden Oaks stepped up to the plate. They were like a, surrogate family. Any facility can do bingo but it takes a special place like Golden Oaks to make it a home.

Holiday Golden Oaks looked very nice. The dining room was huge, but they were remodeling. The lady who assisted me with the tour said that this facility had a lot of insulation. So for TVs that were very loud, the sound was not going to go from apartment to apartment. They had balconies and some of them overlooked the mountains with all the snow, and that was beautiful. The residents were doing some kind of an activity in a separate room. The activities director was serving cookies to the residents. There was a fully stocked kitchen, where you could go and do your own cooking. You could cook a special meal there because there was no stove in the apartment. They didn't provide assisted living, but they had a company that has an office there who assigns caregivers. If you need someone to walk the dog, you pay them. They had fees for helping you with showering or whatever you needed. You could hire nurses to come in to take care of your feeding tube or whatever you needed for nursing care. You wouldn't have to leave and go to another facility. It was like a whole mall with urgent care. It would be an easy step down from living in your own home to living there.

Golden Oaks has been one of the best, unexpected experiences of my life. The facility is clean & beautiful inside and out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I visited a few years ago to have lunch with a friend; the dining room was beautiful and the food was delicious. Never in a million years did I think I'd be bringing my mom here. But when my mom's health was declining, my friend told me Golden Oaks also allows seniors needing 24hr care. Transitioning my mom to Golden Oaks was very easy & pleasant. I initially met with Jessica who always made me feel important and cared about. Every time I came to visit, the Director, Alicia always greeted me with a smile, making me feel at home. Any questions or concerns I had were always taken care of on the spot. My mom loved her apartment and thought the place was beautiful (although she was bedridden). They have a wonderful caregiving team, The Chanan group (you can hire) if needed, who works along side the facility. They took excellent care of my mom, which relieved me from worrying about her care. Also, Jessica and Alicia helped me adjust every step of the way as I walked thru the journey with my mom now being on hospice. I don't know what I would have done without them. Golden Oaks truly gave me the opportunity to strengthen my relationship with my mom, and spend time with her as a daughter, and not as her personal caregiver. I'm forever grateful to God for this experience. I highly recommend Golden Oaks. It's a wonderful, caring, friendly, safe facility where you can rest assured your loved one will be well taken care of. I met the most wonderful people and gained friendships I will never forget. Thank you Golden Oaks!

My parents are at Golden Oaks. It is an independent living facility but they have caregivers that are there 24 hours to help those that need additional care. They both require additional care and they come in the room every hour, they take them down to meals if they need to or want to, they take them to activities, they help them with all of their activities of daily living, and it's been very good for my mom and dad. They have a beautiful apartment. They have a beautiful view of the mountains and they've done well there. I like the caregivers, and I like the environment. They have a lot of different activities though my parents don't get involved very much because they are on hospice. They just don't get out very much, but they are available for the residents. It is a lively environment with people in different levels of need. There are the independent people and then there are those who have more needs and they accommodate them all, which is nice. They have different crafts, and games, they have inside bowling, movie nights, and outings that they take them on. The majority of the staff is just very caring and even the director is very thoughtful and always trying to meet my needs. I've many times thought it was time for me to take my parents somewhere else and she always works out things where we didn't have to leave, so I appreciate that. The facility is lovely. The food is very good and seasoned well. The presentation is nice, and it was enjoyable for my parents. They like the food and they have different types. They give them options they can choose from, so that's nice for the people.

We went to tour Golden Oaks. The physical appearance was super. The lady that gave us the tour was awfully nice and very knowledgeable. The place was very clean, and the rooms were very nice, so we were 100% satisfied. It was right after lunch that we went there, so we peeked at the people with their food, and it looked delicious. They have a few activities that would interest us. One was walking, and the staff was doing a little program there for people to count steps. Then they have a chapel, which is very good. It's a smaller community, which is nice.

My mom is a resident of Golden Oaks. It's a retirement facility, with a vendor that provides assistance. They don't provide assisted living as part of the initial lease agreement, that's a separate study. My wife and I have talked about it, and I appreciate how they all seem so caring. I appreciate the difficult circumstances, and they seem very understanding of it. I have overall been very happy with the level of service and attention. The place looks excellent. My wife was very surprised at how nice it looked and how pleasant it was. She also commented that it doesn't have an old person smell. The staff is excellent. They have a beauty shop, gym, library, TV room, game rooms, and meeting rooms. They provide a variety of game nights and activities. My mother is not in a position where she participates much, though. Although, I think they can improve on socializing their residents. Her room is a 1-bedroom apartment on the third floor, and she has more room than she needs.

The employees of Atria Retirement Golden Oaks are very nice and helpful. They've always been able to answer any questions we had. The place is clean and my dad says the food's good. His room is brand new and also clean. It seems freshly painted and has a new carpet. It wasn't furnished, but the cable box came with it (it's hooked up already). The dining area is big. It's also clean and pretty big. Then they have a separate area for families to come in and eat with them. They have a salon and laundry facilities. The outside is like a park area. There are a lot of benches and stuff. It was one of the cheaper ones that I was able to find around, so for what it is, I think it's a good value.

I like Golden Oaks because it's close to me. What I didn't like was that I was afraid of the safety because it's on a very busy street. If my father got out and he wasn't aware where he was, I was just worried that that could be a safety concern. It doesn't have any fencing, so it's not secured that way. The staff that I spoke to for a long period of time was Jessica. She was very helpful and informative. They had food, but I didn't try it. It's clean and near amenities, like the grocery stores.

Golden Oaks seemed like it was very clean, neat, and orderly. The menu looked pretty good. I like the location. It is close to the shopping centers, the bank across the street, and restaurants. The staff was very, very helpful and knowledgeable. She seemed to go through everything pretty thoroughly and answered all my questions. The dining area was very clean and orderly. The rooms were well lit. Every room has a small patio, so you have a patio door.

Golden Oaks has a very friendly staff, a very clean facility and it's very well taken care of. They have a very nice dining area and in their hallways they had little sitting areas which were very nice. And Jessica was wonderful. Everything was manicured, very clean, and the outdoors was very nice. They do outings with the seniors, they have a reading club, a Yahtzee club, and it was nice to see the three ladies there playing, and they also have a bingo group that gets together. So they have activities there for the seniors.

Golden Oaks was very nice and has a large reception area. They have all the amenities that you could want, including laundry and cleaning. It was very comfortable. They said they also have an onboard nursing service. The staff members were very nice people, courteous and very knowledgeable. At the time, they weren't allowing outsiders in the cafeteria because of COVID-19. They have all the amenities I could care for. It's very clean, very modern, it's nice and airy and has clean air. It's in a good location.

I thought Golden Oaks was beautiful. They were super friendly and a great place. My friend is not as mobile as she could be, so we just viewed the apartment and some of the things, and it was beautiful. I liked it a lot. The facility was very clean too. They have a piano bar, and their laundry rooms were convenient with respect to where her apartment is going to be. She was happy, so I was happy too. The facility's location is also conveniently located for us. The parking was a little tight, but other than that, I think it's perfect.

Staff is wonderful, helpful, kind, happy, hardworking and has kept us well during Covid 19. Manager so extra diligent, always listens. Staff knew my name from day one. My only beef is with the food. Not much flair and sometimes poor quality. Veggies overcooked. Meat dry. Not much fruit. Dry desserts.

Golden Oaks was a very good community. I liked it, but it was too far away. Everybody was really nice, helpful, and accommodating with their seniors. It didn't have any complaints about them because they were very upscale and everybody was courteous. The place was very clean. They had two different sizes of rooms. The one-bedroom was very nice and very spacious. I would not mind living in it. They had lots of activities geared toward the elderly. I would highly recommend them.

Golden Oaks is a beautiful complex. Dad chose a studio apartment, and he's very happy there. They serve restaurant quality meals, and the staff is wonderful with him. He's just so much happier now than he was before. They have ice cream hours, movie nights, and a bus that will take them to restaurants or doctors' appointments. It is just a really nice place.

We felt comfortable at Golden Oaks. My father has eaten there a couple of times, and he liked the food; that is actually why he wants to move there. The only complaint he has with the room is that it is small, but he has been living in a house his whole life, so everything seems small. The staff people were very pleasant; they were great. We looked at several places, but this one he felt more comfortable with in several different aspects, and I think it will work out well for him.

My friend is now at Golden Oaks. It is a good place. The food is fine. They have activities every day. The staff is friendly. However, they need to improve on communication with the family.

My dad moves to Golden Oaks. It is a three-story facility. He is in a spacious studio apartment, which they refurbish for him. They also have one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, which are also in nice sizes. However, he is in the third floor and the dining room is in the first floor. So, he has to go to the hall way and take the elevator down to have all his meal.During our visit before my dad moves in, we meet the one in-charge with the residents and the chef. We tour the facility and they have a hair salon, chapel, library, TV room and activity room. We actually went home with a plate full of cookies, which they cooked.

We have been visiting the Golden Oaks almost everyday for the last 4 months observing all aspects of this facility. A friend of ours is here and said 'I don't need a 3 bedroom house' and wants to make this her home. The staff from aspects have shown that they really there for everyone's needs for independent living, very friendly and helpful, in keeping active in physical activities, an atmosphere of being on vacation in a timeshare resort, making new friendships, beautifully decor throughout the common areas and still a 'at home feeling'. I would recommend this independent living facility to anyone who wants to still live life .without all the responsibilities and headaches of maintaining a house and most of all planning and preparing meals for yourself.
