My dad was at Braswell's Yucaipa, and this place was very bad. As soon as you go into the facility, there are people screaming, people asking for help. The place kind of smells too. Even their CNA's couldn’t wait to get out of there, as they are extremely understaffed and overworked. It was just a bad place.

My husband almost fell off the wheelchair if we hadn't caught him. I talked to the nurse about it, and she said that the wheelchair he has is too small for him and that they would keep an eye for him. But it disturbs us a lot because if we hadn't been there, he would have gone right to the floor. The room he's in is a little too crowded. But aside from that Braswell's Yucaipa Valley is very clean and really nice.

This facility is a skilled nursing facility. I visit this facility often to see Hospice patients. The facility is located in a residential community surrounded by homes, schools and churches etc. They have a small parking lot in the front usually with space for family and visitors. This is an older facility. The nurses station is central with 4 halls leading to patient rooms. The staff appear to be attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is that of a nursing home with patients out of their rooms in wheelchairs moving about as best they can. Those that are bedbound need assistance for meals activities etc. Unfortunately, the urine smell is throughout the facility, however I always see staff changing beds and cleaning up the patients. Many of the patients are medi cal funded. The Veterans Administration also assist with payment if patient is a veteran. This facility is one of nine Braswell's facilities. This is family owned business. I have never met any of the owners.
