I Used to have a family memeber in the facility. The nurses can be nice but the aids are awful, the facility is short staffed leaving residents unattended. The aids are very rude and dont help when you need it. My father was left very dirty when i came in . and when looking for an aid to help they all kept saying they were too busy to help leaving me to clean up my fathers breif and clothes.

My mother was in Willows a couple of times before she was moved to a facility in Chico where passed. They were good at Willows. They were definitely overworked than as everybody is. I’ve noticed that they’re just understaffed; there were too many patients to one person and they do what they can. The last facility she was at in Chico, she had a big comfortable private room so it was more of a room than a hospital bed; while the one in Willows it was more of like a hospital room with two patients and a curtain. The accommodation though at that time they were full, and both times that she was there she had to be moved. They had a long term patient there that was very demanding on her and dominated the room. Then they moved her in with a young gal who made a lot of noise which kept my mother from being comfortable. She really wanted to go home and be in her own bed. She checked herself out since I left and went home to Louisiana, and she ended up falling so we moved her to Chico where she passed. They were definitely overcrowded over there at that time -- there’s not enough accommodation -- but overall I thought they did a good job. I think overall the rooms were acceptable. They do a really good job in upkeep; cleanliness is excellent. You didn’t have that urine smell as you walk down the hallway -- like I noticed in Louisiana they’re really bad. In Willows the staff was very uplifted for being so overworked. It’s a small nursing home. There’s a little spot outside I guess it’s a smoking section and theres a non-smoking courtyard. Those little areas are not really enough to move a wheelchair around; just one chair at a time. Theres a staff member there that needs high recognition, her name is Lavina. She went out of her way, and I got to talk to her a little bit. She’s a nurse and she's a people person. She always had a smile on her face. She’s just outstanding because she goes beyond as far as morale and compassion. She puts her patients first. I wish they all could be like that.
