We found Land of Peace for my stepfather-in law. I saw the room and it's a little more private. I think he'll feel that it's more like home because there are only six people in the house. It's a bit smaller and cosier, and I think it's better than other places. There's a lovely patio, and you can walk around. We were quite impressed, they were very nice, and very knowledgeable. I met one of the residents, and he seemed great.

I chose Adat Shalom, and it’s been awesome. It was clean and spotless, and they keep my mom’s room perfect. They care for the residents very much. They have five people living there. The food smells so good, so they have really good food in there. I’m very happy with them. The lady that runs it is awesome. My mom is very happy there.

Adat Shalom Board & Care was a home, but it just seemed too sterile. Everything was so neat. Maybe that's why it was so sterile to me. It felt like a hospital or a model house, and it felt like everything was perfect which is why I don't like it. However, the staff that showed us around was pretty thorough and very professional. She told me what was and wasn't allowed. She told my daughter that in order for her father to go to the senior center, he had to have a TB shot. The room that she showed us was in good size. It had a bed and a dresser. It was immaculate. Maybe the people were just very neat and I was not. I had not seen any activities. All I saw was people watching TV.
