Vista Gardens Memory Care was great. My husband stayed there just for three weeks. I'm very impressed with the facility in general, and the outdoor facilities for the residents were exceptional. The staff was excellent. They're very welcoming and caring. I was just very happy with them overall. I didn't have a lot of direct experience with the food, but I saw menus. The dining room was beautiful and very spacious. They offer a variety of things for the residents. They're not restricted to one choice every day. It's restaurant-style and the residents can order whatever they like. The facility was beautiful. It's 12 years old, and it's very neat, clean and homey. When you're there for respite care only, it's maybe a little bit more expensive than if you were there on a full-time basis, but for peace of mind and overall care, it's worth it to me. They have a huge outdoor space for the residents. They have an actual park on their premises and a raised garden bed.

We went to Vista Gardens Memory Care. I've been there a couple of times and they didn't know that I was coming, even after our review, and I thought it was great. They always have some activities for the seniors. It's very roomy. They have a lot of space to walk around. It's very welcoming. Everybody seems happy. The residents that we ran into along our tour, they all seemed very happy and friendly. The place seemed very clean. It had a nice atmosphere. There was no foul smell. Some places there's a foul smell that greets you at the door. The residents were free to sit down. It was very welcoming. I'm hoping that my friend adapts to it very well. But I was very pleased. They had garden areas and they had walkways. We were out in the patios, in the rec rooms, and the eating areas. I was very impressed with that. The staff has been very patient, the residents all seem to know my name, and they were all happy and smiling. It was very clean, and I found out yesterday, when I dropped off more paperwork, that her room is being painted now. They're trying to be more accommodating with that. They would be more than happy to help us, anything that we can bring in that makes it feel more at home, and we're welcome to hang pictures.

I went to Vista Gardens Memory Care. Evelyn was very nice. The place was clean, and the staff was very, very pleasant. The halls were nice, wide, and bright. There was a lovely courtyard, lovely gardens, and walking paths (which was very nice to see). Families are welcome. We met with the culinary director, who was also very nice and talked about the food. They have gardens for the residents to work in and also fruit trees for them to be able to pick fruit. It was a very engaging place. They have lots of nice activities going on, and it was a very lovely place.

I like that Vista Gardens Memory Care has a lot more outdoor space and the staff is dedicated to memory care issues, so it seems to be the best fit for my mother. I also like the fact that they had all the rooms facing a courtyard, so it appears to be more open, and there's more natural light coming in. The place looked clean too. The staff seemed knowledgeable and engaged with people when I went to the facility. Once my mom is in there, we'll just have to see if that continues, but I would say that they seemed to understand some of the memory care challenges because I met with the head nurse and she understands that. In some of the places I toured, you're talking to a sales director or a sales manager, and that person a lot of times doesn't know anything about taking care of somebody with memory issues. Their food is probably on the bland side because they're trying to appeal to a lot of people that might be on a low salt, low sugar, and low on everything diet, but my mother is fortunate enough that she doesn't have any restrictions on her diet. There are fancier places than this, but in terms of the people having a place to do some stuff, Vista Gardens Memory Care gardens is a far and way better environment.

Vista Memory Care took such great care of my dad during his stay. They coordinated the Hospice care directly into theirs and my father benefited. He loved the residents he met during his stay as well as the activities. The facility is very clean and the staff is very attentive. They are so kind and took the time to make sure he felt welcomed and loved. I'm so grateful that Vista Memory Care was recommended to me and would do the same to anyone looking for an amazing place for their loved one.

As a retired RN I have visited my good friend over the past few years and I find the staff wonderful and caring. My friend has blossomed in this facility. I would recommend this facility to everyone.

I thought the people at Vista Gardens were professional. They had legitimate staff, which not all of them have, who were properly trained and willing or trying to cope with situations. My son had trouble there; he tried to get out, and they called for a sheriff, so he is now in the hospital. They are willing to take him back and are trying to work with him to get back there.

This facility's philosophy of caring for the "whole person" AND the resident's family, is beyond compare. If there is such a facility that feels like home, Vista Gardens is it! Always clean, bright, and cheery, excellent food, great activities, and a beautiful setting all add to its appeal, but it is the warm and loving family-like care of her residents that really sets Vista Gardens apart!

This is a very nice facility. Everything is pretty much brand new. There is a lot of room for everyone to move around without feeling like they are confined. Everyone was very nice to me when we visited my Uncle for christmas. Seemed like everyone was very well taken care of.

Vista Gardens was very bright and cheery, the residents have freedom to walk around and the front door is not locked. They lock the gate which is out in the parking lot so the residents don't feel they're locked in. The cleanliness is exceptional. They have an activity room, a wonderful cafeteria area and dining room and the chef is awesome. The staff is very knowledgeable in dealing with people with Alzheimer's and you can just see when you walk in that the residents are very happy and engaged with the caregivers there.

The care is the best. They are there 24/7 for both my husband and me. They are like family and will do anything needed.
