We have moved my mom into Cypress Place Independent Living. The facility is very bright. It's very friendly, and it has a lot of amenities that are acceptable. The price was very reasonable. The staff truly care, and they're so supportive and responsive to all the needs. They really all are very happy, friendly and caring. It's amazing. My mother is very happy with the food. She's a picky eater, yet she really enjoys what they have there. They have so many activities. There's something almost all day long. They're age appropriate and accessible, and everybody is very encouraging to participate in the activities they have. However, there's carpeting in the bedroom. Other than that, it's very clean. It's very easily accessible. It's very compact, and yet it doesn't feel crowded. It's perfect for somebody who isn't quite as mobile. It's easy for my mom to get to everything.

We went to Cypress Place Independent Living, and there were no men. Almost all the men were in assisted living. I think there were probably three or four couples there, and that was it. My husband found that very inadequate. The place was nice, and the staff was nice. They have a nice library, and they also take trips. They have the same basic things that everybody did. We didn't have any objections to the rooms. They were just a lot smaller than the other two we visited. They had a multipurpose room, and they did artwork and stuff like that in there. They didn't have their activities as often as the other ones did. It was like everything came once a week. They have a courtyard in between buildings where they have the pond and the fish.

This place is A#1! I was skeptical that I would find a site to place my mother because I had been taking care of her for 8 years (and she's very particular), but I was nothing but impressed from the moment I stepped into the assisted living building. The staff was very warm and genuine, the decor was beautiful but not overdone, the residents all immediately greeted me with smiles and asked who I was bringing there, then promptly told me that she would love it there. Very encouraging! Kathy and Pamela, in particular, the concierge and director we're extremely helpful, very approachable, reachable and ultimately professional. The dining room is adorable and has so many mouth watering selections on special and on their " Get anytime" menu. They always have snacks and coffee available with lots of comfortable places to enjoy them in or just sit and relax. My mother says that she has been welcomed with open arms by residents in a pleasant and friendly manner on a daily basis. The rooms are flanked by luxurious wide halls with thick plush carpeting and beautiful Beach inspired artwork displayed along the walls and nooks. Many rooms have small fresh air patios, and the bathrooms are amply sized with built in cabinetry and treated soft water flows from all the faucets and showers. Their are telephones in the common areas which can be accessed, as well as a spa room downstairs, a beauty salon. A personal or group shuttle service is available for shopping errands or other activities upon request, as well as on call maintenance for anything that requires service in the rooms. The common patio rooms on each floor have indoor quality seating areas with views down into the lush koi pond. Their excercise room and laundry are always nice and clean, and I've never seen a wait. Cypress Place place is adjacent to Von's grocery and the residents can go through a private coded convieience entrance into the store that's just for them! All of the utilities and meals are included, she just has to pay for phone and cable, but there are cable TV's in various activity rooms with comfortable seating, books, puzzles, as well as bingo and art classes. Overall, it is a wonderful and surprisingly affordable home that my mom enjoys each day. They are welcoming to me visiting whenever I want, any time of day, and I get the impression that they are really are good people, caregivers, not just employees. I would wholeheartedly recommend this as a home for anyone looking for a place for an aging family member or friend.

My mother is in Cypress Place Independent Living. It's an excellent place and a very friendly and helpful environment. The amenities and activities are very diverse and enjoyed by all residents. The rooms are adequately sized, clean and well maintained. The food is not that great, but the selection is very good. Kathy, the concierge, and Kim, the director, are outstanding with their customer service.

The rooms at Cypress Place were nice and a goof size. The facility was beautiful. They had a beauty salon, TV room, game room, and a nice cafeteria. I was impressed, it's just too far away from where I live.

At Cypress Place Independent Living, they separate the facility based on whether you need any form of care or independent-living. The people that were there were more people that wanted to be able to have some say about what happened in their part of the facility because they are separated. They wanted to be able to have more independence, so it wasn’t a good fit for us. If you don’t want to live where there’s a mix of ages and needs, it would maybe be a better fit for somebody. It was nice but a little bit older looking and a little bit darker inside, and knowing what my mom was looking for, she needed light and bright to feel good. Their big common area, other than the dining room, was a little bit better. We went to see a couple of the rooms, and from what I can tell, they were clean, maintained, and kept up. I didn’t care for the parking because a lot of the parking is for the clients that live there or for one guest, so you have to find parking sometimes on the street or they back some restaurants right behind them because they’re off of a main street and you have to use some of the public parking. You would be able to access shopping and restaurants from there. They offer shuttles and services to get you to places.

Cypress Place was OK. It is just located more right in the city. The rooms were not big, but they were nice. Most of the residents looked happy. It was a nice dining area.
