Mother is in Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center now. It has been under new management in the past 5 years. In the short term care, it’s really good. In the long care, they basically have you into therapy. They did a good job with her, and I knew of that facility. They do 8-hour shifts, but they need to get more people in the nursing section, and they need to be paid more. They do really well with their compassion level. When you walk into the facility, you don’t smell the foul odor. They’re doing an outstanding job.

This place is like a holding cell. None of the personnel know anything or even genuinely care. Getting answers or solutions is like pulling teeth. There is no advocate for the patients. You ask one person about your loved one and they refer you to another person that knows nothing. It's a wild goose chase to get any info. No one seems to know what is going on.

My mom is at Turlock Residential Assisted Living. My mom is very happy with the people that are there, and some of her friends are there. It seems like a good location because she knows more about it than we can find out about other places. She is very happy with the food. She gained her weight back when we put her there, and it is very good. My mom does a lot of walking. She walks around the building, and she has several other people who walk with her. They have movies. I know they just hired a new activities director, so I think there will be more activities to come. I know they have dancers and singers come. She watches those kinds of things. It is a very caring place.

My husband has been at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The experience and nursing care was fairly good. The facility itself and the color scheme that they have is very depressing. It didn’t seem that the cleaning staff is doing the job as they could have.

My mother-in-law was in Turlock for quite a few years. The rooms were tidy and neat. They were neat and clean. They have restaurants available for the residents. They were very close to the nurse's station so that was OK. They had a nice dining room and a visiting area. It was nice and clean. They had facilities for the visitors who came, and their area was landscaped well. Unfortunately they didn't have any open rooms there. The people that worked there seemed to know what they were doing.

I researched Turlock Nursing online, and we knew the place to get my dad through after the hospital. They knew and talked to other people, and it seems a pretty nice place. The staff was very nice, and we are pretty happy with it. They have private rooms, and there are 3 bedrooms. The place was clean and secured, and other than physical and occupational therapy, they have some activities. They have bingo and walks. They ate in their beds, there were places that the people can get out of their beds, but sometimes they don’t walk without assistance. I don’t think they have a dining room. There is a place where they can eat but it’s not where they cook; the food comes around a cart, like a hospital.
