We have my sister placed at Ivy Park at Simi Valley. She has been there for two weeks now. They have just renovated, so it's bright. It's a very nice community. We're still trying to work our way in because you never walk in and have everything the way you wanted, but the staff are working with us and I think it's just beautiful. They've bent over backward to help us out. My sister is enjoying it now, so she is getting more familiar, which makes it easier on the staff. The only problem we've had is just trying to get everything squared away because she just came in from out of state, so we're still working through prescriptions and medtech-thing. Overall, we've just really enjoyed the place and the people who work there. My sister is starting to blend in a little bit better, so this is a good thing. Because COVID kind of took a sweep over the place, activities have been down to the minimum. They have scheduled many activities, none of which my sister has taken advantage of yet because she caught a cold. Nevertheless, those activities are still out there for her to enjoy. They have outings and places to go, and eventually, I think that's going to be something my sister can utilize and enjoy herself, but we haven't taken advantage of it yet. Although I haven't eaten a lot of food, the food that I had was really good. My sister seems to be eating everything that they give her. They're always cleaning the place and it always looks nice. The value for money is relatively good.

I have toured Ivy Park at Simi Valley. It was a beautiful facility, very clean, and there's lots of activities. They seem to be able to provide the care that my sister needed. The people that I met there were all nice. Everybody was very, very nice. They were extremely informative. They answered all my questions. They were excellent. The dining area was beautiful. I liked the fact that they have the kitchen open. You could go down there pretty much any time during the day, so they have flexible eating hours, so that's good.

I moved into Ivy Park at Simi Valley. The price was good. The people are very friendly and helpful, and I just like the overall feel of it. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. There are three meals a day, snacks in the bistro, and there are a lot of activities. They have a salon and courtyard, they have group activities, they take you out on tours, and they provide transportation to medical appointments, and church services if you want to do that.

Ivy Park at Simi Valley had a resident playing the piano when I visited. I thought that was very cool. The place looks like a hotel when you walk into it. Their dining area was like a restaurant. They have three lovely choices of meals, three for each meal, as well as a list of other things that were more like comfort food, such as macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, and jelly sandwiches. The staff were all good. They were all very helpful and very pleasant. They take them on day trips once a week, they have all the games like bingo and dominoes, and they do painting, pool, and shooting for the men. They have everything you could want. There's also a beauty salon and you could do two loads of laundry a week or have somebody do it for you. That was inclusive of the price.

Ivy Park at Simi Valley was excellent and very becoming to the eye, but the cost is up there. That was the very first place I visited, and I was very impressed. It would be for someone who would be able to afford the high amount. They had a lot to offer. They had a beautiful library and a nice outdoor area where the residents could take walks. It's very clean and they had a lot of activities as well. They were eating in their dining area; it was very neat and just attractive. They would sit down like it was a restaurant and they could order what they wanted. The day I happened to go, it was Mardi Gras. They were celebrating and decorated for that. The residents were all out in the main lobby. They brought in some entertainment, but they also had six different people with dogs. They had six shepherds, and you could see where they were taking them. The dogs were so gentle and were going up to the residents on a leash. The people were enjoying the dogs so much. I've always heard that's great therapy. They were brought in so the residents could pet them and love on them and enjoy them. The tour guide I had was a woman and she was wonderful. She was very compassionate, and loving, answered any questions, and offered a lot of information. I didn't meet any other staff, just when I walked in and mentioned I was there for the tour. She was very friendly, that's the only other person I spoke with. The facility was like a resort-style, it was elaborate and very nice.

My dad is currently at Ivy Park at Simi Valley. The aesthetics and decorating are all beautiful. It's clean, modern, very well-updated, and extremely affordable. The staff is kind, friendly, and overall excellent. They have a nice coach bus and offer trips out to Target, the movie theater, shopping, and dining. They offer board games and puzzles. They have a movie theater, grooming, haircuts, manicures, an exercise room, a space for clergy on the weekends, some outdoor areas to sit in, and a nice fountain to hear water. The food in the dining area is good and adequate.

It was beautifully laid out. The tour guide, Jodi, was really good. The dining area looked nice, but the only thing we didn't like about it was the assigned feeding schedule. They had a concert going on when we were there.

My mother moved in, and it was amazing. It's beautiful outside. When you walk in, everybody greets you, is friendly, and wants to help. The apartment we chose for mom is beautiful and has a view of a beautiful courtyard. The food is good, and you can order anything you want at any time. The staff is personable, and they know you after being there once. They were having a music activity when we went there, and my mom didn't want to leave. She has been there nine days and has been involved in every activity. It was the best place I could ever pick for my mom.

The rooms were very nice, sunny, and bright. The staff was courteous and nice, and the place was clean. The residents were gathered in the lounge where the piano was, waiting for a program to start. There was plenty of parking space and seating areas outside.

My parents are now here. Everybody is friendly and nice. The food is good, and the facility is really beautiful. They have a lot of activities, a computer room, a library, a little store, a popcorn machine, a community room, and a separate little dining area if you want to have friends or family over. They have all different sizes of nice rooms. My parents picked out a medium studio and love it because it’s on the first floor close to the dining room and two doors down from the garden. It’s in a really good place on Los Angeles Avenue, which is a little busy, but behind it is a neighborhood. If they want to go for a walk, they can go for a walk through a really nice neighborhood. In case anything happens, there’s skilled nursing right next door.

I visited my friends in this place. It's a very nice place. They don't have apartments -- they just had one room, which is a lot more limiting. But otherwise, it seems nice. I've been there for meals, and it was good. They have entertainment. It has a little friendlier atmosphere about it.

It is very luxurious. It's like a cruise ship that doesn't leave port. My mom has been there since the end of January, and it has been a very good experience. It is very clean, and they stay on top of everything. My mom is in a one-bedroom and has a private bath. There is a small gym, and this is first one that we visited. She likes it, and that's the one wants to be in.

The visit was great, not just because we live in Simi Valley, but because of the services and their activities. We went there on unannounced visit and we also went on another tour, so we went there a couple of times, and it seems like there’s activities going on when you walk around; people are doing different games and puzzles, they have a movie room, and library. It just seemed like they had a lot more things happening, and the rooms actually seemed a little bit better as far as floor plan, and also the outside seemed more homey to that of an apartment. You can decorate them, and they have shadow boxes outside to make it more personable. Outside, they have like a little pond and different things, more like a big community. To me the staff was just super, super friendly and everyone was willing to answer your question. You could go anytime and join them and just pay an extra little fee, when you go to visit. We saw families come and just visiting and we saw more inter mingling and it just seemed more like a lot more activities going on.
