AI took us on a tour with my mother-in-law and husband. Very nicely decorated, clean freshly remodeled rooms. We looked at both 1 and 2 BR apartments. The room chosen has a nice balcony with courtyard views. The food was delicious ordering off the menu. The Dining room staff were very friendly and considerate to my MIL requests for dietary restrictions. We could see they were interacting with other residents the same way. They offered extra help with move in needs. AJ was very helpful with the admission process and is great with follow up with any need or request we have. Thank you AJ.

Oakmont Gardens was very nice and very clean. The gentleman that met us was very nice, he gave us a tour and showed us through a couple of the apartments. Their apartments were very nice and very simple. They had a garden area, a crafts room, and an exercise room. We didn't eat there but the dining area was nice and spacious and looked comfortable. The staff who helped us did a great job.

I went to Oakmont Gardens. It's a beautiful facility. The staff member who gave the tour was wonderful, knowledgeable, and very compassionate. The community itself is small and is in a beautiful spot. Being that it's a small community, I would consider placing my mom there. The only thing about that one is that they only have one-bedroom apartments and no studios, and my mom has a preference for a studio. The dining area is beautiful. It looks like a restaurant. They have amenities like grocery stores and stuff like that for people that are visiting. It seems like a nice place. Beautiful setting with trees and a garden. They're under a large renovation right now. They have plenty of wonderful activities for seniors to engage in there. They've got a movie theater. They have an activity room where they do crafts and exercise classes. They have happy hours and a social area where they play some piano music and stuff. One day a month, they have live music. The dining room looks restaurant-style with nice tablecloths and a very nice setting.

Oakmont Gardens is a very nice facility. It's wonderful and they provide great care to my dad. His apartment's nice. I like the garden-type atmosphere out in the courtyard. The whole facility to me is just very well done and the staff has been good to him. They offer an awful lot of activities. They've got a van that takes people around wherever they need to or on excursions around the Santa Rosa area. They have activities within the facility as well. They got a library, puzzles on every floor, games, and all kinds of things that I see published in the elevators.

I've looked at Oakmont Gardens, and I'm not interested in anything like that. I found it a little bit difficult to really get a feel for the activities part of it. I thought that the building itself was very well kept, and the places were adequate and very nice. I had a hard time identifying with the people there, so I don't see myself being in a place like that yet. I am very active still (even though I'm 81 years old). I don't act or look 81. I still have a job. I felt that they seemed very responsive to the people that were there, and I liked seeing that that people seemed happy. I appreciate the work that they've done to make it a very nice and welcoming place. The gardens around it were beautiful, so it was very nice setting. I also like the fact that you have access to activities in the wider Oakmont community. The staff who accommodated me with the tour (her name was Lisa) was excellent. She listened to my questions and tried very hard to answer them. She was knowledgeable about the place.

Oakmont Gardens was beautiful, nice, and clean. It had a very good vibe when you walked in the place. People were very nice. The community members were around and engaged in activities. The grounds were well kept. It was nice. I was really impressed with Oakmont. I looked at a one bedroom there. It was clean, nice, and well-kept. It was nice. It was a nice facility. I really liked it. There was a library. There was an arts and crafts room. They had a common area that was really nice. There were people sitting around doing puzzles and reading the newspaper. It was nice. They had a garden sitting area and an outdoor seating area with a really nice water fountain that was out there. It was nice. I saw the restaurant, and it looked nice. I didn't check out the food. The woman that we met was very professional, very nice, and very knowledgeable.

We went to Oakmont Gardens because mom has a friend that lives there. I found that it needed updating. One of the things that were very strange about it was, and my husband didn't notice it as much because I was thinking more like somebody with a disability. It had all these areas that were like a little ramp up and a little ramp down. Every one of those little hill things is difficult if you have issues with your back, and those are hard to walk on. It would be hard pushing a walker up a ramp. It doesn't seem like a lot if you're not disabled, but a lot if you have those limitations. I didn't like that at all, and it just wasn't as nice in general, just older. The other thing that I was concerned about is that it's right up against the hill, this is a fire concern for me, because of where we are located. It was a little bit out of the way, which I guess would be nice, but I felt like that was much farther, you'd have to travel if you needed emergency help, and also on that road, there were all types of burnt trees on both sides because the fire had gone through there a couple of years ago. I don't feel comfortable. So the location was a bit of an issue for me as well. Her friend showed us her room. She had a two-bedroom, very nice. She's lived there for a couple of years and she likes it. They had patios, which was nice, but it was pretty spread out.

Oakmont Gardens was very nice. The young lady that showed us around knew her stuff and she showed us some of the apartments. She was very nice and easy to talk to. There is a bathroom in all apartments, a small kitchenette, and it was done quite nicely. The facility seemed adequate certainly. I did not do any food tasting, but I went in the middle of the afternoon there, and I didn't expect to have food.

Oakmont Gardens was very nice. The apartments were adequate, they showed a two-bedroom, 2-bath, it was clean, and well maintained. The staff was fine. They had a nice dining area, but it was closed at the time we were there. It had a nice fountain area, large, and also a nice walkthrough garden. The food wasn't that great. We were past residents. There's a lack of space for the amount of activities.

Our visit with Oakmont Gardens was very pleasant, very effective, and very professional. The rooms were good. Their trips and their facilities were very nice. It looked appropriate and it was what we expected. I liked the activities and the size of their two-bedroom unit was good.

Oakmont Gardens was where I would prefer to go. It had everything that I would want. I was impressed with the lady who took us around to look at things and the apartment, too. Pretty much everything I felt suited my needs. I was impressed.

Oakmont Gardens' staff seemed to be very nice, caring, humorous, and obviously got along well with the residents. The place seemed to be laid out a little more compactly, and it's a positive. They had one room where they showed movies, and the place looked to be a very good place that one could settle in easily. It was more park-like in its surroundings which made it feel a little less urban. It looked to be good, and they had a library.

Oakmont Gardens was an interesting place. They're in the process of building a new memory care area, which will be more updated. Although we saw a great unit, they weren't really designed for handicapped people, but they were willing to modify the apartment to suit my husband's accessibility needs. I could participate in all the activities, which include a beautiful pool, a gym, clubs, music, and other things. There seemed to be a lot of people moving around and a lot of hustle and bustle going on, which is actually good.

My sister and I moved our father into an Assisted Living apartment in Oakmont Gardens 2 weeks ago. At age 94, he needed routine assistance with every-day activities and care that we could not provide at home. Although we were very apprehensive about placing him in an assisted living environment, we knew that the time was right to do so. Much to our delight he really enjoys living there and has adapted to his new environment without any issues. The staff is kind, caring, and compassionate and does a great job attending to his needs. He especially enjoys the food and really likes the "steak and eggs at any time" option. I highly recommend Oakmont Gardens to anyone looking for a high quality assisted living facility in the Sonoma County area.

We went to Oakmont Gardens. It’s nice, but the layout is very confusing for seniors to try to get back to their apartments. It’s a bit of a maze with long hallways and corners. It’s not a straight layout. The rooms are nice but smaller. The staff is very nice. They have the same activities as the other community we visited, like lectures, movie nights, and happy hour. They all offer the same things. The dining area and everything looks nice. The layout is very confusing, and there’s nothing they can do because the way that it’s laid out. It has halls, corners, and turns and so somebody trying to get back to their apartment is going to get lost.

Oakmont Gardens' rooms were great, nice, and roomy. The deluxe one was really nice and had a nice, big bathroom, and I thought it would accommodate my father pretty well. I had lunch there, and it was actually very good. My parents had lunch there, but they were not very happy. They said that the hot meals weren't very good, and they complained. My sister and I ate there, and our meals were great. The help was very good as far as waiting on us. It was a little dark, but I liked the setting and I think they would be comfortable there.

Oakmont Gardens was a big place and nice for more active people. It had pretty much everything you could want there. The common areas were very nice. They had all sorts of activities and lots of things to do. What stood out to me was the fact that it was large, clean, and had lots of activities. The staff was great and nice. They only had one- and two-bedrooms, no studios. The dining room was great.

I know Oakmont Gardens because I have a friend there. It's only two stories, and she has a living room and two bedrooms. She has a kitchen with a stove, a refrigerator, and they have a very nice dining room where you can eat. They have three meals if you want them. Their grounds are very nice. Some of the residents even have a little garden that they tend to. You can use the swimming pool. Oakmont is a retirement community. They also have senior houses. She gets her laundry, and she gets the cleaning once a week, and she eats in the dining room. They go shopping and over Christmas, we went to go to different places. Once, they went to Las Vegas. The food is not to my liking. I am German. I like dark bread more. They have this American bread and the teas. It's not my type of food, but maybe the Americans like it.
