I'm at Ivy Park at Santa Rosa. It's very clean and quiet. The other people who live here are pretty quiet, too. It's very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room is not small, it's almost medium size. It's pretty clean. There's not a lot of furniture in it because I've only been here for about a week now. But I can see if I put a chair in there, it'll fit well. The bathroom is nice and clean. There's a very small kitchenette. The food is better quality than the cafeteria style. It's simple but it is well made. They just recently got a new chef, and the quality of the food has improved a little bit. It's a nice place to eat. They have a lot of gaming areas. They have a gym. They have nice social hours. They have happy hour on weekends. It's very casual and kind of quiet.

My dad will be moving into Ivy Park at Santa Rosa. I absolutely loved it. The staff was so nice. They have so many things for people to do. They have activities and field trips. They are very accommodating and understanding. It was a hard choice for me and my dad to make, and they just walked us through every step of it. They were great. The facility was very clean, pretty, and quiet. It's located in a good area of the town. It's by the parks and stores. It smelled good when you walked in there. They had fresh flowers in the lobby. They have a restaurant there with a full waitstaff. They hire executive chefs. The food looked good.

Ivy Park at Santa Rosa was in a great location, especially if you can still walk a good distance because it's right on a creek, which was very beautiful. The staff was really good and engaged. I ate there, and the food was fine. They had lots of good community activities and a schedule of events that people could participate in. For the price, the apartments were much smaller. For what I could afford, they were much smaller, like a studio as opposed to a 1-bedroom apartment.

Ivy Park at Santa Rosa had a good restaurant. It looked clean. It looks pretty. I like the colors. The staff was very friendly and open, and they had some more of the little perks, like they had a hair salon and they had a little general store where you could get the basic necessities. What I liked the least was that it wasn't quite out in nature. They were welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating, because apparently my appointment had gotten canceled, but I didn't know that, so they still took us on. They had the dining area, two courtyards, and some gardening. They had a small general store that's open at certain times for amenities and they had a hair and nail salon.

Ivy Park at Santa Rosa was very well put together. In the lobby area, they had a lot of amenities, if you will, that I didn't see in some of the places. For some reason, my appointment didn't show up on their schedule, but they were able to give me a tour anyway and they were very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and had a very nice layout. They had a musician play in the memory care and a game setup, like volleyball, where they play with balloons. It was very clean.

My husband stayed at Ivy Park at Santa Rosa. The atmosphere was very friendly. All the people were friendly. The care was good. The food was delicious. It was just a happy place, and the therapy was good. They had activities every day, and you could choose to participate in them or not. They had entertainment come in maybe once or twice a month. My husband's room was very nice. He had a little studio, so it was just big enough for him. They had an activity room with puzzles, a pool table, a television, and crafts. There was a park or a trail close by where they could walk. They had a lot of things to keep people busy.

My mother is at Ivy Park at Santa Rosa. It's excellent. Her unit has a small refrigerator and a sink. There is a very large bathroom with an easy-access shower with a bench. Her room is light, bright, and spacious. The staff members have been fabulous. My mom is not very easy, and they have been amazing. The food is good. She likes everything she had. For activities, every day at 3:30, they have a happy hour or a social hour, and she's enjoyed that. She has been very difficult the first month, so she didn't do very much. She is just starting to get out. The place itself is beautiful and very clean. They're doing an excellent job.

The staff at Ivy Park at Santa Rosa was very friendly. The apartment that we looked at was very cute. It looks like it was ADA set up because there's an open space underneath the sink so you could wheel your wheelchair up to it if you needed to. It was a very lovely place. For us, the room configuration was not what we were looking for. Their memory care unit is right across the parking lot. They had nice yards. There's physical therapy, a beauty salon, and a movie area. The facility is located on a busy road, so it could probably get noisy.

My mother is now at Ivy Park at Santa Rosa. We have chosen them because the price is fairly reasonable. I go past it every day on the way to and from work, and it's near both of our kids, so it makes it easy for visitors. They seem to be very conscientious from talking to them. It's nice and quiet, which my mother appreciates. There's a fair amount of people, so she'll be able to interact. Most of the people are ambulatory, and for the most part, probably more with it than my mother is. So those were the main things. My mother's unit is just one room, and it has a private bathroom with a shower that has a seat in it. There's a closet, a little sink, a little refrigerator, and some cabinets. She has a double-sized bed. She has a bookcase, a nightstand, and a chair. It's very nicely kept, painted, and in good shape. I haven't really looked into the activities. They go out to lunch sometimes, and they have singing here and there. Food is decent. It's not gourmet, but then that's fine. It's as good as we get at home, for sure. The staff are great, and the place looks very good.

We went to the Ivy Park at Santa Rosa. I don't think we like this one quite as much. One of the things that were odd about it was that in the room, like the individual rooms, part of the ceiling was a drop ceiling, a suspended ceiling. It just wasn't as nice, the room we looked at had a really weird layout like they had it set up where you would walk into the bedroom, and then the guest room was beyond, that was a little strange. The layout and stuff were not quite what I would like and the quality of the room was kind of questionable for us.

It seemed small and enclosed, which is intentional in memory care units to give it a sense of safety to the demented person. They have beautiful demo rooms. I was impressed with them. There were 28 people spread all over the common room, some residents were watching TV, and some were listening to music. There were staff members either chatting or standing over a few of them, and it seemed like a wonderful gathering. Everybody wanted to have some social time, which was excellent. The residents ranged from very alert to not-so alert. The dining area was beautiful and set up for letting in light and giving a view of the nature surrounding the building. The tables were small, so a few of the residents could sit together. It's clean and well decorated. I would like to eat there. The director was marvelous, not pushy, very easy to talk to, and took me all around. The staff was very down to earth, friendly, and attentive to the residents. The food menu looked wonderful.

It seems to be a good fit for my mom. They have lots of activities, too. They come in, make my mom's bed every day, and clean the room once a week. The staff members are very kind and very warm. My mom loves their food, too. The facilities are very nice. They have a gorgeous dining room, a TV room where they have social showings, a meeting room, libraries, a recreation room, and gardens.

My mother is in here. I visited with my sister, and the interaction among staff and residents and cleanliness were all good. It has an overall positive atmosphere. We looked at quite a few facilities, and it was the best. They offer doctor visits, field trips, and shopping excursions.

We visited and they were very helpful and gave us the grand tour, but I would say they were not quite as happy as the other place I visited. It was a little more solemn there. It was very elegant, like a hotel or a resort. They had activities, but it was not set up with constant community things going on all the time. There were scheduled things, but it wasn't like you could leave your room and go downstairs and be surrounded with activities. In the lobby, there was a coffee stand, and it was usually pretty quiet. You were lucky if there were one or two other people sitting around to talk to. They had a dining hall and nice, quiet places where you could sit in front of a fire and read a book. There was a big community room where they showed movies and things, but there was nobody in there. It was like everybody was away in their rooms. It might be good for someone who enjoyed more quiet living. It was homey. The staff seemed good and efficient. The nurse came to introduce herself. It was not so active in terms of the social environment.

It was very pretty and nice for walking around. The staff was super friendly. It was a lovely facility. There were plenty of activities and different things to do. They were nice with the food preferences and gave you a lot to say about what you wanted to eat. What I like most about it is the environment. It's in a woodsy area and really seemed like a nice place to live.

My experiences have been fabulous. I chose them because they are located close to my home, and they have their crossover community where my parents, who have dementia, can start in traditional assisted living and then move over into the memory care, if they need it. It's a smaller facility than some of the other ones in our area. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and concerned. They seem like they know what they're doing. I went and visited several other places, and their staff and the environment were much more welcoming than some of the other places I went. They also take a bigger dog.

It is a very nice facility. The only thing that I didn’t like about this place is that their ceiling. I'm slightly claustrophobic and for some reason the place made me feel a little claustrophobic because they were low. It's two-story building with a living on the second floor and the dining room and library on the first floor. It's very nice. They have big areas where you can take the dog for walks and I really like that because I have a dog. The dining area was very clean. I had lunch there and the food was bland. I think the food didn’t have the flavor that they should have because they haven’t been cooked with the right ingredients. The food isn’t really the way that I would like it.

Absolutely beautiful large facility centrally located in town. One of the cleanest and nicely furnished facility we toured. Many activities, level walking trails available to residents, attentive staff, very pleasant. Answered any questions we had. A must to include in your tours. Mom needed (wanted) a smaller residence, but definitely was one of the top.

Everybody was really friendly and we were really excited about it. However, I did not like the lay-out as I got lost. So I thought that my mother-in-law was really going to get lost there. And when the nurse came to talk to us, she just spent fifteen minutes.

I visited for my dad. I was impressed with this facility. The location was good. If you have to go to the hospital or doctor's office, everything is right there. It was a fine facility. It was very well furnished. Their rooms were big and very clean. They were just wonderful. Residents seemed to be happy. The employees working there were happy to be working there. It just seemed like a very nice place.

I liked it second best and we almost put my mom in there. The rooms were spacious and their activities seemed interesting. It was very nice and they did have visiting doctors for the residents. I think they were just a little busier.

I am happy that I visited when I was in need of their services. It is unfortunate that I did not get the chance to move my loved one in there and that's becuase she wanted to stay at home and brought an in home care. I thoroughly thought about this decision but at the end it's not my life. I will still recommend this place. I've met their staff and they were verry kind.

I've referred three people here, and they all tell me the care is very high quality. It's 24-hour care by very professional, caring staff with a lot of experience in assisted living. It's very remote, very private--an hour north of San Francisco in the heart of California wine country (20 minutes outside downtown Santa Rosa. The facility itself is built on a hillside, with views of the mountains and the vineyards. There's also a beautiful garden area with tables. The apartments are private with a variety of floor plans, and all have either mountain views or vineyard views. There's also a movie theater in the facility--very nice. It's remote, though, so it's not for everyone. They do have transportation, but it's limited to medical visits, field trips, things like that. I've visited a few times and eaten there twice, and the food is very good. There's a full array of activities, too--and they do a good job of accommodating the transitioning from independent living to higher levels of care.
