We went to The Vincent. We just took a quick tour. The building is in beautiful shape, but then it's brand new. They just built it last year. The rooms were pretty. They were a little higher end. They had crown molding. They had central air instead of air conditioners in the wall. They had rounded corners on the sheetrock and arches instead of square. It was a little higher end. I thought it was a little pretentious, though. When you walked into the main room, it was huge. The ceilings were 20 feet high. It was nice for some people, but it didn't feel cozy to me. I thought it felt kind of cold. I didn't like it, and it was way more expensive. The only person that we talked to there was the salesperson, and she was great. She was very informative and really easy to talk to. They showed us their exercise room, and it was this long skinny room that had two older pieces of gear, and that was it, there was nothing to it, and I thought, 'This is terrible.'

We toured The Vincent and it was lovely. It was high-end compared to the other facilities that we visited. It looked like a lovely place for people who require such assistance. The staff seemed to be wonderful. We looked at the exercise room, the dining room, and the sports bar, and then we looked at a couple of apartment units. They were model rooms, so they were not occupied, but everything was very clean. The aesthetics were excellent - the color scheme and the finished work. They had a senior activities coordinator who appeared to be on the ball and had several regular events arranged for the residents. It was a little expensive, but other than that, it looked fine.

It is modern and new. It's like a very nice motel. They have a lot of amenities. It was comfortable. They have a nice dining room, a social area where they have various activities, and a very nice theater in the lower level with a big screen and comfortable chairs. The place had fire doors that closed automatically when there was a fire alarm. The staff that I met seemed very organized and experienced. I did meet with one of the residents. She showed me her apartment, and she seemed very comfortable there. They have a morning and evening walking group.

I liked them. I think that the living environment and the services they provided were good. The people seemed very caring and interested in each of the family members, especially the people that were potentially joining the community. I was looking at the assisted living with the transition into memory care and the memory care was a state of the art compared to some other places that I had visited. Overall, it's a warm environment and it didn't feel very institutional in any way. The person who gave the tour was very lovely and very nice. They had multiple dining areas and we even got to try the food and it was very good. It was flavorful, fresh, and had a variety of options. The rooms were very well-appointed and of decent size. I think one selling point was the bathrooms were very nice, especially for people who are in a wheelchair. It's very, very spacious, plentiful, and well thought out. Everything's easy to reach. The staff worked very hard and were very communicative. I thought they were very good. Their facilities are cool because they have a little gym, a salon, music that's played in the library area, a baby grand where musicians can come and play it, and a courtyard in the middle of the building that's lovely and pleasant. So, there are a lot of places and things for people to do, and their movie theater is so pretty.
