We ended up going with Belmont. They were well-organized, they gave us a great tour of the facilities, and they answered all of our questions and gave all the information that I needed to move forward. They have a swimming pool, they have activities, they cover all 3 meals for them, and they just have different things throughout the month to offer the residents.

Belmont Village Senior Living Rancho Palos Verdes was a lovely facility. I like the pool area and the rooms. They were very nice. I like the restaurant. The food was great. The staff was very cordial, very thorough, and very caring. The food was tasty and nicely presented. It was a sit-down service. They took your order and served you. So, it was just like going to a restaurant. It was very nice and the food was delicious. The facility was very clean and very easy to get around. It was light, bright, and cheerful. The atmosphere was quiet.

Our tour of Belmont Village Rancho Palos Verdes was good. The layout was a U-shape where the common areas were in the middle of the residential units. The rooms were nice and big. They had 3 different suite sizes - a couple of different 1-bedroom apartments and then a 2-bedroom apartment. They provided a microwave oven, in addition to a refrigerator. They provided laundry service, too. They had a courtyard and a swimming pool. The staff was great in explaining all the amenities.

The sales team will make many promises during your initial tour. Here is the reality: - Constant rate of turnover among the staff. On more than one occasion a care giver quit in the middle of a shift. And a nurse walked out during their shift, too. - If you request a private care giver for your loved one they will assign them to another section of the building when they are short staffed. - Wait time for the call button can take up to 60 minutes. My family member would be stuck in a wheelchair waiting for help. - Ants in the dining room for a week before management called an exterminator. - They evicted my family member during a hospital stay. I was not given verbal or written notice of the eviction. I received the news from the hospital discharge coordinator.

Belmont Village Rancho Palos Verdes is a good-looking facility. The rooms are a little small, but other than that it was a great place. The staff we met was great, they're fantastic. You have to wear a mask. They also have other things but we weren't exposed to them.

Belmont Village Rancho Palos Verdes would have been perfect for my parents if they were fifteen years younger. It has a pool. It has a billiard table. It has beautiful, spacious grounds around it to walk around. But for my mother, that's too much, and the facility, because it's way up on the hill, you could see the Long Beach Harbor, and it's gorgeous. It's like a five-star hotel type of situation. I saw the memory care, but they do have assisted living. It's very expensive, but it's beautiful.

We toured Belmont Village Rancho Palos Verdes, and it was very nice. It's lovely and nicely decorated. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions. The dining area looked very nice, and the food was fine. They had a variety of things going on. I have a friend who lives there, so I'm very familiar with the place.

We really wanted to go to Belmont Village Rancho Palos Verdes, but they didn't have any two-bedrooms available. They were very friendly. We got to meet the chef, and they will cater the meals to you. The food was excellent, too. They were very warm and accepting. The marketing director was very sweet. She tried so hard to get us in there, but we could not wait for a two-bedroom unit to be available.

Belmont Village is in a nice location, and they have a nice facility. The staff looked good. It looked like they were hard working, and everything seems clean and nice. The rooms were well maintained, they were an adequate size, and it looked nice. I didn't eat there, and we just walked around, but we did look at their dining room. It looked nice and spacious. I wasn't interested in the activities because we only looked at what the layout was and how it looked. They did offer activities, but I didn't look at anything specific. They have a guard there, and it looked adequate for the area. The price was higher than most, but it was in an expensive area. I'm sure real estate and cost is higher there than in other areas, so I'm sure that is the main factor why it cost a lot higher.

The staff was helpful at Belmont Village, and I do not have any complaints. The rooms were homey and large. What really stood out to me were the location, the appearance from the outside, the entry, and the patio area.

Belmont Village is full service and very clean, but it wasn't as homey. The staff were very kind and very wonderful. The people that live there seemed happy, but it is a little more of an old people's home kind of feeling. The rooms were smaller, very clean, but had tighter spaces which is why it felt more hospital like. There was just one dining room right off the entrance, and then the rooms, you felt like you were walking down the hospital hall. It has an institutional feeling. They have a tiny gym, a smaller game room, and a little hair salon. Everything was smaller for the community areas.

Belmont Village Rancho Palos Verdes is a nice facility, but it’s a little more expensive. The people working there were all nice. We had lunch there, and the food was good. They have a nice program called Circle of Friends. The residents were doing some exercise.

My mother was sort of more independent and didn’t need much care when she was at Belmont Village. She only had a little assistance but they were pretty attentive. I would say it was good. They have all kinds of activities like beading and art classes, and other extra classes. They have a pool but she didn’t use it. They have people come and give lectures and they have nightly movies. It was a very clean place. I would definitely recommend it. It’s very expensive from the high end but it’s very nice, although food could be better. The ambiance was very pleasant. It’s a bigger place and they probably have like a hundred and twenty residents; maybe not that much. It has three floors, but it’s still a more homey type facility. It was excellent.

My dad broke his hip. He was at Belmont Village from January to March. He had a nice room, and they did a lot of physical therapy. We were pleased with that. The room was pretty big. The staff was very good because he was post surgical, so we were in there frequently. I was very pleased with the staff attending. They had '40s band music one time. Belmont Village was close to home. It was a very warm feeling at that place.

Belmont Village of Rancho Palos Verdes is a facility that is on a hill thus is really has a nice overlooking view. The place actually is very, very nice. The rooms have a very nice view overlooking the hill. They offered everything from independent to assisted living. They really had a really nice program called circle of friends where they would invite people so that the residents would become more active with each other. I really like that concept. With regards to their dining room it's like going to a restaurant wherein you can have options on the menu. They have outings and they have buses to take the residents to restaurants. It's very nice. I like that when you walk in, if someone didn't tell you this for the elderly you couldn't tell. They did have a smell of a nursing or an assisted living home. They kept their ground well maintained. The lighting was very good. I like the whole atmosphere. The staff was extremely pleasant to deal. The only thing that was a very big drawback for us was the cost, but then they say you pay for what you get and for this facility it's very much true.

I have noticed being a healthcare provider that the local environment correlates quite well with the available care facilities. Palos Verdes is a beautiful area, and this assisted living facility fits right in. The staff are all attentive and available to the needs of the residents at all time, and try their best to be sympathetic when problems arise. The facility is well lit, very clean, and has a design that doesn't inhibit those with impaired mobility. Most important of all though is that every individual I have come across who stays there doesn't regret their choice of where to stay and it would take extraordinary circumstances for them to agree to relocate.

My family sent my grandfather to live in this facility for the last several years of his life. His room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and professional. Whenever myself or another member of the family visited, we were greeted by a person at the front desk who signed in visitors and made us feel welcomed. My only experience with other assisted living facilities was the one my grandfather stayed at previously, and the care he received there was far inferior. Belmont seemed to be a place of rest and relaxation for him, where he had a spacious room and a comfortable life that allowed him to live happily for his last few years. Belmont encouraged activity and socialization among the elderly staying with them, which, in my opinion improved my grandfather's (and other residents') experiences there. While all care facilities tend to have some depressing elements (due to the nature of what an assisted living facility actually is), I believe Belmont did a great job emphasizing the good and minimizing the bad.

We visited Belmont Village for my mom. Everything was really clean. One of the first things I noticed was that there was no unpleasant smell like other facilities. The people seemed at ease. There was a peaceful and content look to all of them. We didn't get a chance to try the food. I also noticed that the people that worked there knew everybody on a first name basis. They seem more connected with the residents. It was a nicer environment compared to other places we visited. It was calm and had a homey atmosphere. They also gave us the option for my mom to stay there a month to see how she likes it. She is resistant right now, but I can see her liking it if she stayed there for two weeks.

First of all the location is magnificent. Very quiet and safe location and you will just feel at home right away as soon as you see the facility building. It is fresh, new and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the residents look so happy and well taken cared of. Their food menu looks delicious and healthy and transportation is provided to suit the resident's needs. They have daily activity planned to keep the residents entertained.

This is a very small facility, but also a very nice one. The facility is located a quarter mile from the ocean, and the neighborhood is on the busier side. It's located in a residential area. The grounds are very well groomed with very nice flowers. It's very upscale and very attractive. The common areas were very small, but very beautiful. The residents' rooms are also small, but beautiful. I think this facility can only accommodate about 50 residents. The staff isn't too friendly, but they seemed to be friendly with the residents. I think they were pretty well-trained, maybe a 9 out of 10 for training. The food looked good and healthy. It looked like they served small portions, but it looked good. I didn't see many activities there.
