My husband is at The Oaks at Nipomo. The appearance is marvelous. It's very well done. It is beautiful. It makes you feel as if you're in a very well-cared-for and maintained community. One of the main reasons I picked them is because they do a very active program as far as working with the residents and trying to increase what memory they have and their ability to make decisions. A couple of times a month, they do an outside activity. They go off campus. They do a lot of physical activities and mental stimulation activities. They're having a Halloween party. The food seems to be good. My husband likes it. The staff are very good.

I toured The Oaks at Nipomo. I felt very comfortable there. I like it because they have social hours and it's convenient if guests that live there want to walk up to the shopping area there or they have a consultation for them if they're at that stage. Also, if they missed the meal, they could go in and choose off a menu and still have something to eat, not wait till the next lunch or dinner. They could go in any time and say this is what they would like to eat and they cook it right off the menu, and their menu is very extended. All the facilities they have there and the housekeeping, are assigned a housekeeper in that area. They're the same person all the time. So they're familiar with that person. They do light housekeeping in their rooms and then they have laundry service and everything's just so convenient, just right there for them. They also have two-bedroom units and a single unit or a single room that they have one with a bedroom or two bedrooms.

I toured The Oaks at Nipomo. It was really good. It was really informative. It went fine. We talked about things. We did a tour of the place and looked at the memory care there. It's a nice facility. It's newer. They had like a single, and they have a private one, which is quite large. Then they had the shared one, which is not really shared. There are two little areas in the common area that they call the shared. Those are less expensive, which I thought were fine. They have patios and gazebos, and it's beautiful.

I went to The Oaks at Nipomo. I like how they help them out, even though each person's living mostly on their own, they still kind of check-in, make sure they're okay helping out with their laundry, helping out with the small things, and just sitting down and talking with them. They know everything that's going on with everybody. It was great. It was clean. I mean, I didn't have any problems with it. I liked everything about it. The food that they showed us was better than what I'd eaten. They have outings, they have movie nights, and they watch the Super Bowl. They have a church, they have so many little living rooms for everybody and just kind of inclusive. It's great.

We took our friend on a tour of The Oaks at Nipomo and their family members came along and we're just waiting to hear what the family decides. I would say from top to bottom, I fell in love with this place. It was the most physically attractive, full of light, full of neatness, and full of energy. Both the residents and the staff seemed extremely happy. I can't say enough good things about it. I would give the staff a rating of 5 because of their enthusiasm, their level of education, and their willingness to be more than loving and more like family members to the residents. There was an unusual closeness, camaraderie, and caring. Residents like sample plates for meals, and I've seen those. I've also looked at their menus, which seemed quite inspiring compared to many places and with good choices. In terms of amenities, the thing that impressed me the most was the in-house physical therapy, in-house occupational therapy, and in-house speech therapy. I believe that they have a salon there, too. And I liked that the place was built around several very, very lovely courtyards.

I really liked The Oaks at Nipomo. The rooms were roomy, but not too big. It seemed really organized. It didn't seem hospital-like. The staff who assisted us with the tour was very good. They had a nice sunroom, and the residents were able to go outside on their own. There was a pool, a fitness area, and a TV area. We did see the food menu, and it looked really good. The dinner room looked nice with all the residents sitting down together.

My tour of The Oaks at Nipomo was very helpful. The staff members were excellent. We met with the executive director who led us on the tour, and then she introduced us to the person who's in charge of the program in the memory care center who was also really impressive. We also bumped into different staff people all the way through, and all of whom were friendly, helpful, and engaged with the folks that were there. It looked like a really good place. We were not able to go inside of any rooms because none of them were empty at the moment, but we peeked through the door. We were only looking at memory care, so we didn't look at the other rooms at all. And at the memory care, we were looking for a shared room, and from what we could see, it looks like a good plan because shared rooms are actually two separate bedrooms, each with their own door, and they open into a little corridor, and then they share what looks like a nice, large bathroom. We walked through the main assisted living portion on our way to the memory care portion, and the assisted living is quite elegant. It was very beautifully decorated and it looked really pleasant in there. The memory care is more institutional looking, but still nice and pleasant. We found several different clients sitting there at the table drinking coffee mid-morning. They always have coffee and snacks available for the people if they want to just sit with their friends, so this was a really nice one. There's a little courtyard area. The place is designed around it so that you see windows all the way around. Even if they're indoors walking around, they can look outdoors, which is really nice. There are benches and things out there. They have a pleasant outdoor area for memory care. The grounds looked quite nice. It's obviously a fairly new building. Everything is clean and neat, and I think designed it to be a really pleasant environment for people. They had a special meditation time for the memory care people, which they were all gathered together to do. And then after that, we ran into them getting on their special van bus, and they were heading out for a picnic up in our area. They had their little picnic things with them, and they were going to the Dinosaur Caves in Pismo. The staff member said they do this weekly possibly where they actually have an actual outing, and then another time a week they will have a driving outing where they go touring, but they don't necessarily get out. When they have a real outing then they have extra staff members along, and they can get out and walk around and sit in public. They look very excited about that.

The tour we had at The Oaks at Nipomo was nice. The place was beautiful. The dining room was pretty. The activities director was nice. The rooms were nice, too, but we were looking for a private room and they didn't have any private rooms available in the memory care, only doubles. They were separate rooms, but there was a wall between the two beds. The grounds were beautiful.

I visited The Oaks at Nipomo. They're very nice. I only went there once. It's very friendly and very informative, and it looked like a very nice place to reside. They have an activities director, and I think they have transportation to a church or a doctor. I liked the fact that the rooms were divided. Even if you shared a room, I don't think you shared next to each other, there was a wall between you, so I thought that was nice.

The tour at The Oaks at Nipomo went wonderful. I didn't have a negative thing to say about it. The woman who gave me the tour was very nice, gave us lots of information, and was very friendly. It's a beautiful place. The room we saw was very nice, and I was pleased with it. The menu had a lot of versatility for items that you can order for your lunch, breakfast, or dinner. They have a lot of activities for the guests. Some of them participated in them when we were there for the tour. They had a very small library, a theater room where you could watch movies on a big screen, a workout room, and a beauty shop. The only thing I did not like about that was that you had to pay for it out of pocket. It wasn't included in the monthly fee. But everything else was just great.

I toured The Oaks at Nipomo. It was really a nice tour, the lady was very informative. The whole facility was just very top notch. It's new, so it's nice. The only drawback was the room is pretty small, but you kind of have to go into the smallest room first, and you can progress up as the room becomes available, which would probably happen for two people. I would highly recommend it to someone. It's about the same price as the other one I toured. The only thing that was available was a studio. Lots of activities. They have three or four things daily on the calendar. I'm not sure at this point if my family members would be using those, but there is a possibility. It's there if they would like to, so that's a nice thing. They had a beauty salon, which was nice. We saw people eating there, and the food looked very nice.

The Oaks at Nipomo was a brand-new facility. It was beautiful. The staff was really nice. The only thing I did not like about it was that you could not get into your apartment from the outside. You always had to walk through the lobby. It was something I didn't like. The staff was a nice lady. They have their own Cafe Bistro inside, and you can use that all the time. It was smaller than the other facility. Their dining area was very open. I think you can eat whenever you want. They have three meals a day. The other thing was that they have a separate room that you can use when you have company. This way when you have visitors, you're not in the dining room with the other residents. You can have some privacy. I like that. I think they have a little gym for exercise. They have a list of activities every day of the week. Sometimes they have games, sometimes movies, and sometimes there was a plan to go somewhere. They keep everybody busy. If you want to be, you can be as busy as you want; you can join in as many activities as you like.

We toured The Oaks at Nipomo. The interior of it is very nice. The facilities that they have been excellent. We would consider them. The individual apartments are a little small in the bedrooms, but that's a personal preference. We'd like to have a king-sized bed and they won't fit in all of theirs and they are limited in the ones that it will fit. But overall, we liked it a lot. The food was very good. The only negatives that we have are that it's in Nipomo and not in San Luis. We're targeting mainly the San Luis area, or the Carlsbad area because my daughter lives there. The staff taking us around was excellent.

The Oaks at Nipomo Speaker was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. They seem to have all the activities, and even invited my mother to come back. We've participated in a Christmas event there before COVID. I've been there at least twice. The staff answered all my questions clearly and were very welcoming. It's very updated since it's brand-new (about 5 years only), and it's very nice. They have a ton of activities and a myriad of different things they offer to the community.

We talked to The Oaks at Nipomo, and we're in the process of sharing medical information back and forth. I toured the place. I was very impressed with it, and it's a nice facility. It's large, it has a lot of activities for seniors, and the apartments are reasonably sized and pleasant. The administration was very responsive and helpful. It's clean. I saw some of the residents there, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves and in good spirits. The building is a three-story, it's three years old, and it's very clean, very nice, and very modern.

The Oaks at Nipomo's assisted living was very clean. It was modern and spacious, and they were following COVID protocols very well. I thought it was a lovely facility. It's new so it has a lot of new amenities. I saw the dining room, and there were people in there, but I personally didn't try the food. I found out that there's no nurse on site, so I felt that that was a little bit of a negative for people of that age not to have a nurse to monitor their medication. I was talking about my father, and she said there was no nurse to help him with his diabetes medication. The staff was very friendly. For that price range, I'm sure there are places that were much better, but then you'd have to pay twice as much.

My grandmother moved into The Oaks at Nipomo, but she did not want to stay there, so she's back home. They were extremely helpful, supportive of our family, and did everything they could to make sure she was comfortable. It definitely felt like there was another family member that we had when my grandmother was there. They were open to receiving clarification, we got updates on her status, and they tried everything to make her stay.

The Oaks at Nipomo was extremely nice. I'd love to live there, but my stepmother needed 24-hour skilled nursing care. They gave me a tour of the whole facility. It's very modern, extremely clean, and very upgraded. The staff who showed me around was very helpful and friendly. They had all kinds of amenities. I was very impressed with the place. Their dining room was open dining, and everybody had a menu like in a fancy restaurant. It felt homey, comfortable, and relaxed.

The Oaks at Nipomo is a country club or like a 5-star hotel. Everything is brand new. They're opening up a bistro that allows residents 24-hour access to food and beverages. It's an unbelievable place. It's beautiful, clean, and the hallways are huge. which if you're on a walker, it's nice to have that width. The doorways are wide so if you're in a wheelchair, you have access. The elevator is big, so it's easy to move your furniture in and out of the place. The staff who toured us around was very friendly and asked very engaging questions. I could tell she was listening to what our needs are going to be. She was informative and she followed up a couple of times with us. The place reminded me of a cruise ship, and everyone seems very friendly there, too.
