It is excellent and has a friendly atmosphere. The people are wonderful, caring, cooperative, and knew my dad by name after one day. The place itself is immaculate and clean. My dad participates in movie nights and card games. The dining area is large, and the food is a 7, but the diversity of choice is a 10. There are many people involved in his care.

Ivy Park at Monterey was very nice and clean. There seemed to be a lot of activities. All the people I met and interacted with were great. They seemed to have a passion for what they're doing. They had something for them to do all the time, painting, game puzzles, trips to town, and artwork. There seemed to be lots of opportunities.

We toured Ivy Park at Monterey. It was very good and very pleasant. I talked to a few of the residents, and they liked it there. The staff who toured us around was very informative. The apartments were small. I saw their dining commons, the television room, and the hobby room. I saw where the offices are and the front desk support. Their dining area was beautiful. It smells very good. It doesn't have a bad odor like a lot of places do.

I had an in-person tour of Ivy Park at Monterey. The facility is out of this world. It is a really beautiful place. It's a place I would like to retire to when the time comes. The atmosphere, the activities, and everything are just really beautiful. The staff member was very kind, helpful, and sympathetic. I have nothing negative to say about her. What surprised me was how happy the residents looked. They looked very well taken care of. They all looked like they just came out of a beauty salon. Their appearance is just very good. Their dining area is really beautiful, very welcoming, and warm. I didn't think that they would have a garden area, but they actually do. It gives the place a really calming feeling. They also have a vegetable garden for people who are still able to plant.

We saw it and it’s the one that we’re trying to get my husband in. It’s the best fit for his needs. It’s exceptional. It’s beautiful. It’s clean and it smells good. They have all kinds of programs. They have excursions. They have their own special care manager and their own special care management plans for every resident in their memory care unit. It’s secure. It is on the bottom floor, so residents can go inside and outside. They can do gardening if they want to.

I thought it was exceptional. It's a fairly small community with only 52 to 56 residents. The facility is centrally located in Monterey, and some rooms actually had a bay view. It's very convenient for shopping, hospitals, and the VA clinics, which meets all of the necessary criteria that I wanted for my father. It's all connected, and you don't have to walk out of one building to get into another. It's two levels with elevators located in convenient positions. The dining room is next to what they call a bistro, the common area, and eating facilities which are all almost communal in the way they're situated.

It was nice and clean. The residents are receiving excellent care and are placed in different sections for different levels of care. They seemed to have a lot of activities going on while I was there. Plus, they go out on field trips. What impressed me most was the cohesiveness of the entire community.

It was nice and clean. Every employee that I came across was very nice; everybody went out of their ways to get you a cup of coffee and a cookie. They wanted us to eat, but we just had lunch before arriving. She said that when there was something going on in the area and you wanted to go, they had a bus that would take you. The staff was very friendly, answered questions, and showed us things. The apartments were clean, and I liked the fact that you furnish it with your own furniture; that way, you have part of home with you. The dining room was nice and clean, and everybody who was in there seemed happy.

It was a lovely facility, friendly staff, clean place and I would place my husband there. It wasn't gloomy and it was bright and alive. Based upon what I've read and the locations of the others, it would suit my needs perfectly.
