I didn?t like Ave Maria Senior Living because when you walked in, there was no security. I went there one time to see how my mother was doing, and I was shocked. I just walked right in, and no one saw me. Both exits were open, and there was no one there to check you in. I didn?t see any security cameras, and my sister had my mother there for about a month. It?s like a little medical center. It has a nurse?s station and a dining area, and each room has a bathroom. My mother was sharing a 2-bedroom unit with another woman. The staff was very rude. It was very peaceful and quiet because most of the people were sleeping. There was no activity at one o?clock in the afternoon. The dining area was dark because the lights were out, but it had a table and some chairs in there.

Ave Maria (St Francis Care Center) was recommended by several people. My mom has been a devout Catholic all her life and the fact that they have a chapel there and a mass everyday and that was very important, that is why we chose this place for her. She moved there on February 28th.This facility seemed like a very good fit for my mom. I have her in a small private room where she has a nice view looking out the window. Her room is nice. I found the staff to be very caring. They have an excellent activities director. She has a lot of love and care for the people there. At Ave Maria, they have the equipment to get my mom into a wheelchair. Also mom is participating with other residents there in activities and things. She just seems to be much happier and doing much better. She doesn't have any problem with the food.

Ave Maria was recommended to us, so we chose this facility. The staff were good. The rooms were modern and very clean. It's really very nice. The food seems to be very good. Their dining room looked modern and clean too. They have an activity director, and they do all kinds of things.
