I would visit my grandma frequently, it made me and my children very sad to visit. The staff was very friendly and sweet. One thing that bothered me intesly about this home was that there was not alot of privacy. Although most of the staff was nice, some would step right outside the sliding glass door and smoke their ciggarrettes. One time I even saw a elderly man out alone on a hospital bed out on the grass. No one was with him. This really didn't settle well with me. I wish I had gone back and helped him. Also, the home did not seem very clean to me. Perhaps my expectations are too high, but that is how I feel

My Grandmother was ordered to stay at los Banos nursing and rehab assisted living center during her recovery after a major life threatening surgery. Upon my first visit I noticed the lack of compaction the care staff had for their patience. It was clear the staff had other priorities way beyond normal cleaning. The floors were in dire need of a good sweeping and mopping. There were multiple wheel chairs with patience sitting in them in the entry way. It was apparent there was not any kind of entertainment or social room; it looked as if the staff just loaded everyone into the front hall and left them there to chat amongst them self. I fully believe these elderly and handicap need quality care. My grandmother's room was a shared room with another woman. They had a sliding glass door for opening and letting in fresh air, however when I opened it I got a horrible smell of cigarette smoke. When I look out the door I saw the staff members sitting at a table 2 doors down taking their cigarette breaks. I would recommend this location take on a new manager and a staff overhauling.
