Solstice Senior Living at Lodi was basic and nice, but they do not have assisted living. It was very pleasant, but they have a very strict eating arrangement where everybody eats at the same time. The apartments were nice. This place just didn't fit what I needed for my mom.

Solstice Senior Living at Lodi was dated. When I expressed what I was looking for, it was very apparent that they did not offer what I was looking for. The rooms were also cramped. I saw the entryway and the common areas, which reminded me of a hotel rather than a community. Maintenance needed attention, too. They need larger facilities and more ability to handle extremely independent people. I still work full time and I'm in spectacular health, and the only thing I need is to clean my apartment once a week.

Solstice Senior Living at Lodi was nice. It was lovely and the friend I'm with really liked it, too. They had three meals a day with lots of options and changes. They're doing an update and remodeling, so things are getting freshened up. I liked it and there's lots of activity. Their calendar was full of at least 4 to 5 different activity options during the day, almost every day. I saw some ladies playing cards and everybody looked happy. The lady who gave the tour was very nice and informative. To me, it looked like a nice hotel with a big lobby area where the dining area was and some social areas downstairs. There was a walking path all around the property as well. It was very affordable and had a really good atmosphere and environment.

My mother-in-law is at Solstice Senior Living at Lodi and so far, they've been very helpful and trying to do their best to get her all acclimated to the new living. They are very good. They have a lot of activities on their calendar. The cafeteria and all that is very nice. They are undergoing a renovation right now, so they just have some workers there. They're redoing the painting, the carpet, and everything, but they're trying to keep that as minimal as possible. At night, they lock the double doors. So, it's a very safe place. The rent includes all three meals a day and the utilities. So, the rent she's paying seems pretty fair.

We have been delighted by the whole experience of working with Solstice Senior Living at Lodi. The staff there has been phenomenal from Karen, the chief executive, to Amanda in the marketing department, to all of the staff at every level like the maintenance people, the housekeeping people, the kitchen people, the front desk people, and the physical therapists. It's just been remarkable how welcome they have made my brother-in-law feel when he moved in. We're just completely thrilled with the whole experience. His room is perfect for him. He's in a wheelchair, and he needed a room without carpets. They had a room without carpets and very nice flooring, so it just fit him perfectly. He's handicapped, and he needed the handicapped restroom. The bathroom setup was easy to accommodate. The room has been great. We were there yesterday and looked at the schedule for the day, and it was so varied, so rich, and full of opportunities to play games. They were doing a cornhole competition when we left yesterday. They have a pool, a poker table, card table, and morning activities and exercises. There's just a whole variety of activities. The food is really very good. The menu is diverse. They also have the any day menu that you can order certain things if you don't want the the the meal for the day. There's other things you can order. They have table service. They literally come to the table, take the orders, and deliver the food. The food was very good; it's top-quality. It's a beautiful neighborhood. My brother-in-law has all sorts of places he can get to in his motorized wheelchair, so everything's been perfect.

I moved into Solstice Senior Living at Lodi. It's a very friendly place and has a friendly atmosphere. Their activity director tries to offer people things to keep them busy besides just sitting in their room watching TV. She's very helpful. They've been in the senior living business since about 1998. It's changed hands, but it's not a brand new company like some of the newer ones in town. They offer you the whole package. You don't have to pay extra for this and extra for that. I checked with one of the newer ones, and it's going to be $1000 more a month for the same space or less. They've got all sorts of activities. They do exercising and you've got a trainer and they can take your insurance if you need to get physical therapy. We have a bus service that takes people shopping and does all sorts of stuff. For Easter, they invite your family for a big buffet luncheon and they're going to have an Easter egg hunt, so grandmothers can watch their grandkids. I think the food has changed over time because when they first opened back in the early 2000s, they hired two top chefs in San Francisco and they had a lot of exotic food. With the cost of everything and the cost of food, they have gone back more to just meat and potatoes, fish and clam chowder, just basic things. We're meeting with the chef once a month, and there's a committee and they tell him what the people's complaints are and they try to take care of it. They could be a little bit more creative with their dessert. It's going to be nice because they're remodeling, but only as they sell the rooms are they remodeling. They have 118 apartments and we've got about 104 on, so that's moving along pretty quickly, but I think it's going to be real nice. They've got it painted, and they put in new window coverings in the individual rooms. They're going to have the physical therapy and pain management and a bunch of things that people in their 70s and 80s need. They do what they can to try to help if there are any discounts like if your husband or daughter was in the military, you can get some military discounts. I have a large studio and I have my two little dogs with me, so I have to pay $25 a dog, which is not bad. My total rent is around $2500 a month. Everything is paid for except you only get basic cable at that price. If you want up and beyond that, you got to pay for that.

We will probably be moving my mom into Solstice Senior Living at Lodi. I was very impressed. I felt like they had offered quite a few amenities for the cost of living there. I like the open floor plan of the building. The food was pretty good. Basically, all meals are included in the rent. They do housekeeping for each of the residents, including their linens. They have the ability to send people in to assist with showering and things like that for an additional cost. We had lunch there. There are items on the menu that are always available. They have specials for the day. Everybody was very helpful. They were able to answer all of my questions.

I really liked Solstice Senior Living at Lodi. It was very nice, friendly, and open. They serve three meals a day and that was amazing because a lot of places don't. The hallways were large and there were railings. It's not all closed in. It's very pleasant. The people were very pleasant. They all welcomed us. I just really liked it. We had lunch and it was delicious. They had a game room, a puzzle room, exercise classes and other classes, washing machines and dryers on every floor, and elevators. It's three floors and they also have stairs.

Solstice Senior Living at Lodi was a beautiful place. The people were wonderful, very, very nice and very, very welcoming, but it was way out of my price range. The location is good, if you are independent enough to have your own car and stuff. There is plenty of parking available. The ground floor apartments all have access to a courtyard with nice walking paths. It's a three-story building, and there are elevators available. It was very clean, no odors, and the residents were very nice. They came up and said hi and welcomed me. They said, "Gee, we hope that you can come and stay here." It's just a very welcoming place. The staff is friendly, understanding, and was a good listener. She showed me several different options. I think she showed me four different apartments, and explained everything. It was very well kept up. I only saw the restaurant area. I saw their television community area to watch TV together. There are mailboxes. They have what looks like a post office, where you have your own P.O. Box. They have locked boxes for your mail.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Lodi, but I don't think it's for my mother, because it's senior living and she needs assisted living. The tour was very good. The facility was excellent. It was very nice, very clean, and very informative, but it was just not for her. It was close to a lot of business areas. You've got Walmart right there and Target. The area looks very nice. They had a really nice apartment. They had a vacant one there that they took us to. It was very clean. No kitchen. The bedroom and the bathroom were really cleaned. They were almost new. The menu looked excellent. The had a movie theater room, an exercise room, a library, and a game room. The residents we're just getting down to go for lunch, and there was a couple of residents in the game room. They had elevators there that were really nice. The staff who assisted me was very good.

I like Solstice Senior Living at Lodi. I used to have clients there when it was called something else. Under new management, I'm not sure, but it was nice when we toured it. My dad just couldn't get the apartment available on the bottom floor. The staff was nice, and they're all happy people. They've got a lot of activities, and it's a larger place than my dad's current community. I had a nice meal there.

Solstice Senior Living at Lodi was very nice. Their little studios were quite small but you could go out any time. They had a nice living room area and there was somebody there playing music which was nice. They also had a nice dining room, a laundry room, and a library. Since its independent living, I didn't see a whole lot of staff members, but the lady that showed us around was very nice.

It was fantastic. When you walked in, it was wide open, and people were friendly. Everybody was smiling; all the people that lived there seemed happy. They were eating, and the food looked good. They had an open space where you can go meet people and watch TV. The studio type they showed was on the first level where I wanted it to be. It was open, it had 2 large closets, it had a cooking area, and it had a lot of good stuff.

It is very nice, and the people are very friendly. The food was very good, they had a lot of get-togethers within the facility, and they have their trips outside on a bus. My friend lives there, and she likes it very much.

We visited and the private room wasn't set up to have internet. We use the internet a lot, so it's a big drawback. The apartments looked pretty good. They had three meals, but it would be more convenient if they have a meal that you can order like for dinner. The woman showed us the activity room, and the people were playing different games. They take you to the doctor if you need it. The staff were nice, polite, and very helpful.

We phoned and said that we would like to come and visit, and they invited us to come for lunch. We met with the coordinator. She sat down with us and answered any questions we had and gave us a tour. We told her we were just looking. They were very helpful. The residents were just very welcoming. I just felt that it's very homey, very inviting, and very supportive of the clients that live there. Overall, they were very nice. They couldn't do enough for us. They're very accommodating. Actually, my aunt even paid for an apartment. We even got to that point. The room she chose was big and beautiful. She was downsizing from a big house. That was one of the reasons why she really liked it because another plus for her was a big apartment. They were very supportive. She got all her money back, so that was fine. But they're still very supportive and said if our aunt ever changed her mind they'd welcome her back. It was very positive. We looked at everything else, and that was probably one of the nicest apartments that we saw. The food was good. They're the only ones we saw that offered on-site support through an agency. They come in and they just charge for what needs to be done.

We choose it and my mom is happy there. She's in the independent living, but they let her have people coming in to help her.
