I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

A family member of mine was admitted there. He was only admitted for physical therapy, the physical therapy was adequate and he improved enough to come home. The rooms were not clean, I only saw them cleaned once in three days. Not enough staff to help the patients, very loud in the hallways. It was the staff that was very loud in the hallways not the patients. The day before he was scheduled to come home he developed some medical problem. I received a call @ 6:00 Am from the emergency room that he was unresponsive- I did not receive a call from Rocky Point telling me about his condition. I would not recommend Rocky Point to anyone for any type of care.

We put my father at Rocky Point Care Center for rehab. They're helping him at night with taking his medications, bathing, and going to the bathroom. For limited mobility, that's the place to be. They help you get around. The staff was friendly. They did all they could to make us comfortable. It's pretty much in the central part of town in an old building, but it's still OK. It's one of the least expensive facilities around.

My husband has been placed in this facility after a fall that resulted in a broken shoulder. He is 6'5" and paralyzed on the entire right side as the result of a stroke. This facility is the best that we in this community have to choose from. Bob has stayed at another facility in the county and this place is much better. The nurses are not overworked and frazzled, the food is good and I really like the rehab staff. Everybody has their own TV and the sliding doors opening up the outside are charming. I felt good about leaving him there.

I visited this facility

My mom had to be put into this place after surgery from cancer some of the staff is really nice but the care was awful!! My mom ended up with very bad rashes and sores because she had to sit in a wet and soiled diaper for up to 2 hours at a time since the supervisor said they only have to check on them every 2 hours. They would put my mom in a wheelchair and leave her there for hours without a blanket when it was freezing cold under her air conditioner without supervision. My mom ended up with pnemonia and could barely breathe and I was advised to just let her stay like that since she would be passing soon anyway but I took her to the hospital. Where she received 100% better care. Unless your loved one can do most stuff for themselves and can voice what's happening I would think twice about putting them in this facility

I am a friend or relative of resident

I found the place to smell on the weekends I would have to go in and give my mom showers because they said she would not take one for them when i told them how to go about dealing with mom they would not listen.

I am a friend or relative of resident

We lost a love one to Rocky Point Care Center aka Plum Test Facility. When we requested her medical files we found that a RN whom is not even a employee of Plum Healthcare had signed all of our loved ones records, and were horrified to find Plum Test Facility to be the heading on her POC. Nobody should have to go through what we have.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom has been here for 3 weeks already. She has been in and out of the hospital then eventually she needs a skilled nursing facility. This is just a 1-story small facility. However, the care from the staff is excellent. They do everything for her: bathing, dressing, lifting, and taking her to the dining room to eat. In addition to this, when Mom rings the call light, they are always there. This place also provides activities such as doing their residents' nails on weekends, current events, and physical therapy. However, I am discontent with the doctors. The one in charge of my mother is very bad. I am in the process of finding a new doctor for her.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My 80-something year old father was in this facility twice. Each time it was after a stay in the hospital for obstructed colon. His stays would be about a week or so, so that he could regain his strength before returning home to care for himself. The staff seem nice enough and apparently gave my father good care. My 80-something year old father was in this facility twice. Each time it was after a stay in the hospital (Sutter Lakeside) for obstructed colon. His stays would be about a week or so, so that he could regain his strength before returning home to care for himself. The staff seem nice enough and apparently gave my father good care. He did not have any complaints, except maybe the food was not quite to his liking (although, he really wasn't eating much anyway as he was on the mend). The facility itself is quite old, small and run down. The d̩cor (or what there is of it) may be a recent as the 1970s. There is always a number of what I assume are long term residents who loiter around the lobby area, which apparently doubles as an activity room. Overall, the facility is totally functional and appears to be sanitary.
