I went to Ivy Park at Laguna Woods for my father. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was a little bit more money than we wanted to spend. This is a very expensive area that we live in. The staff was great, but the gal who helped me has left the company. The structure of the building is fantastic. It's a great place. It felt like a pretty happy place to live. A lot of times assisted living places can feel kind of not very cheery, but Ivy Park seemed to be a very vibrant and happy community.

Ivy Park at Laguna Woods is our second choice. It's in the process of renovation, so it's getting a new coat of paint, new rugs, and everything else. The manager of the facility was the one that took us through, and she was very knowledgeable and just couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were fine. They were newly painted, but it was still an old building. They told us the building was 30 years old, and they're just renovating the whole place, and so it looked nice. The staff was very nice, too. They had the traditional bingo and card games. They're setting themselves up. It was our second choice because of the location. It was close to where my mom lived. We were just impressed with the people and the manager. She was very caring. They would have accommodated whatever we asked for. We saw a couple rooms, and they were renovated. There was nothing special about them. They were just rooms with bathrooms and little kitchenettes, but they were old. They had activity rooms and rooms with TVs set up where they play movies or something.

My mother moved into Ivy Park at Laguna Woods. It's perfect for her. It's not overly expensive but it's very, very nice. The people there seem to like their jobs, and they are very friendly. The food is really good. They have movies, they play mind games, and they do grooming.

Ivy Park at Laguna Woods is a beautiful facility. The apartments are among the largest in the area that I saw. But most importantly, the staff is caring and very present. They have a nice variety of food and it's very well prepared. I would eat there if it were a restaurant. They have a library and a salon. The facility is beautiful.

It was like a cruise ship on the land. Everything looks first class, including a shuttle service to Laguna Beach. They also have first-class apartments with multiple bedrooms. It's very nice. We toured their independent living and they had a nice gym, a nice library, and a very nice communal dining hall. These are all communal things. The staff was very helpful. They broke down the expenses for me and the different levels of service like you'd need assisted living. They broke it down and made the payment structure very easy to understand.

It is beautiful, lovely, and delightful. The staff members that I have been in contact with are nice, knowledgeable people. The rooms are small, of course, when you've come from a big house, but they're very nice. I really like this place a lot. Everything is very nice and beautiful. They have lots of activities. There is something going on all the time. I was invited one night when they had Hawaiian night with Hawaiian food, Hawaiian music, and everybody was dressed in Hawaiian clothig. The food was very good too.

The common areas were very nice, but a little overdone for my taste because they had cherubs on the ceiling in the entry. We had lunch, and the food was very good. The room was very spacious. Some of them had a fabulous view and are on really nice private grass areas. I just liked it in general.

A friend of mine chose here. The rooms and staff are good. There are work areas and different activities always going on. The food seemed to be good, too, but could be improved.

The grounds are beautiful. It’s located on a hillside. The hallways are 15 feet high, and they’ve got windows so it feels very bright. I think the staff is wonderful, they’re really a group that you can ask anyone a question, and none of them will say that’s not my job. They’ll take responsibility for the issue. The food is excellent, and my parents are very pleased with that. You can also eat at any time in the dining room. The rooms were pretty standard and clean with a small kitchenette.

I moved my mom into here which is in Laguna Woods, and she has been there for two weeks. All of the staffs are very positive. It is either 180 people or 180 units in the building, so it is a good size. I looked at four or five different places that had four caregivers for day time use, and this place has 24, and as my mother has transference problems, that was very important. The rooms are much larger. She moved from a 650 square foot studio apartment in her last place, to a 700 square foot one-bedroom apartment. It feels like it is 300 feet bigger. She finds the food much better than any of the places she has lived in previously. She has been for the last 12 years in communities where she is at least eating one meal and now eating three meals a day. This is the fourth place she has been in, and she said the food is very good. I've eaten there several times, and the food is very good, very plentiful, and good selection. I hit it right on the dot. She is thrilled with her move which has changed her attitude considerably. As for activities, they have anything you could possibly want. They have I would say probably 15 activities a day. My mother is 95 years old, and she doesn't participate in most of them, but they do have bridge which she does like. She is taking a couple of classes which she has never done any place else. There is a beauty salon and a nail salon in the building, so she doesn't have to be lifted out. It is just a perfect solution for us.

The Regency is not as nice as the other facility I visited. I noticed that everybody was very busy. They weren't quite as personable since Laguna Woods is extremely busy. The rooms there are not quite as bright and clean looking. They may well be clean and very nice, but they don't appear to be quite as bright. Some of the buildings are older, and the paint is a little dark.

My husband and I are here for a couple of three years now and we are taken care of pretty well by the staff here. We are very grateful that they are doing everything for us. We have three meals a day and the food is excellent. The dining room is very good. We do have lots of activities and entertainment here.
