My mother was put in ManorCare Health Services-Hemet for rehab after her surgery. She was getting therapy for that, but now she couldn't do it, so now she's basically under just maintenance. They're caring for her now. She can't even do the rehab at this point. They're great. She's very clean, they're very caring, and they call me and let me know what's going on. They're very proactive and trying to do the very best thing they can for each patient. I feel very secure with her being there in their care. I can call them at any time and they call me, so we're working very closely together for my mother's benefit. Her room is very clean. She shares a room with another woman. They're basically hospital-type rooms. It's set up as a hospital. They're very strict with visitors, especially during this COVID situation. I like the fact that they're very safety conscious, and they really take good care of them. They seem to have a nice staff, and they have enough staff for the patients, so they get very, very good care. I don't think they're overwhelmed by patients at all, and it's full all the time in there. They're staffed very well, so each patient is taken very well care of. It's a nice and clean facility. It's a single story, but it's very sprawling. It's very big. They isolate some people. They have it set up just like a hospital. In talking to other families that have come there, I know that mainly those people are placed there after a surgery, or some type of hospitalization, and they're put there for convalescence. A lot of times the families are worried about what care they're going to get, and after being there with my mother and everything, I've reassured many of them that they're getting really good care. They're in touch with their doctors and their patients are the most important. They put their patients first.

My wife was a resident at ManorCare Health Services-Hemet. During her stay, it was during the Covid pandemic. The nurses were overloaded because there were a couple of other clients there besides my wife. There was a lot of concern. I went in and had to visit the desk multiple times to express my concerns, but they had too many patients or were short of help, so I didn't file a complaint. The staff who took care of my wife was very courteous, good, and helpful. The food is good. The facility is very nice and smells clean. They offer exercise therapy.

My wife is in the long-term care at ManorCare Health Services-Hemet. I like the individual personalized level of attention where the nurses actually establish a relationship with the patient. However, there was one problem. Her first year there she sustained an accident. She was being incontinent changed and she fell from bed, and that's one dark spot with my relationship with ManorCare. It was not a pattern of negligent behavior on their part, it was a one-time isolated incident. We did file a lawsuit and we prevailed. The settlement was made and we moved on and she stayed where she is. The staff is very personal, personable, and professional. Although for a while their management had a policy of having minimal shifts come in. They were understaffed, they were spread too thin, and consequently, accidents happened. But as far as I can tell, that has been corrected. They have good staff, but due to management policy, the staff was sometimes pushed a little too hard. The food is excellent, my wife said even to this day it's very good. The place is very clean, I am told by nurses that it's one of the cleanest around, there are also no foul odors; it's spic and span.

I presently have a loved one at Manor Care at Hemet. I would like to comment on how far my husband has progressed since being a resident at Manor Care. The care is awesome and it comes with a very caring and compassionate nurses and people. Activities has come a long way with him, as being more social, too, as far as Bingo, ice cream socials and Sunday church are just some of the activities that go on. The activities staff are very enthusiastic and cheerful in keeping him in touch with current events. After almost 4 years, my loved one is eating again. The food is excellent and well balanced and he is enjoying eating again. I want to thank his Unit Mgr, Arlene, who manages his section and all the wonderful nurses that tend to my husbands care. She is very open to our concerns and remedies any issues promptly. Especially, Arni, Ester Tara, Silvia, Ana 0., Ana , Heidi, Tiffany and Berniece and many others. They all have been awesome in the care of my husband. The place is well kept and very clean and so is his room. His bedding and sheets are always clean. As well as he is being kept clean. Thank you ALL Manor Care for the excellent care of my husband. Regards, Lorraine A Garcia

My 93-year-old mother was in Manor Care for a week. She was treated like she was everyone's mom and grandmother. The staff was amazing, kind and patient. They made her feel so special. They have so many activities for the residents and, if family members are present, are invited to attend as well. There's even a patio with a grill for picnics! But, again, most importantly, was the staff and how my Mom was treated. I was so impressed as was she, She always felt safe and both cared for and about. This place is wonderful! I would recommend Manor Care to anyone and everyone!

Manor Care is the best nursing home & the only one I would go to.. Everything about the facility is great. I would really like to point out some special people you have working for you.. First Porscha is an angel, she was so kind to me & went up & beyond what she needed to do. Dallas is th only male CNA I have ever liked, he really cares. Andy in PT is beyond good. Connnie the social worker is so kind & helpful. Also a few others that made my stay so much better. Lupe, day shift, Guadalupe, Eddy, Olivia, Connie and Elsa to name a few. You are so lucky to have these workers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Linda

My dad was in temporary rehab at ManorCare. They happened to have a contract person who was working with Dad, but he wanted none of it. There's one thing that was so critical. They told me not to worry because they have a plan of care and that they'll take care of it, so I thought that was so good because the last thing I need is one of those calls saying "he's on his way home." Guess what they did? He's on his way home. My dad can't take care of himself, and he can't even walk ten feet. I asked what happened to the plan of care they promised me, and they gave me a whole bunch of blowing smoke. I was so angry. They didn't give him any medication at all and just blew off any responsibility. My stress was through the roof. I use nothing but potty mouth to describe them. There were some good people who were trying hard, but you do not discharge a patient into a dangerous situation without contacting a relative. They're asking somebody with dementia if you want to go home and if you're okay by yourself. That's stupidity, and I hate them.

Mother admitted after surgery. Staff is nice and may be capable. However, check other site reviews. Because this facility has a common reputation of being under staffed. My mother and another patient have told me the same remarks I have read online about difficulty in getting staff assistance, timely medication etc. I know in our case, pain killers arriving hours late and taking a day to check or get test done while with-holding new medications etc. Point is, by the time a doctor comes a day later it may be the difference between life and death! I could go on about multiple phone transfer disconnects etc. Suggest you look elsewhere!!!!!!! Signed, Concerned Son

No nursing staff was available to receive patient when she arrived -- family members had to assist the transport staff in getting patient transferred from gurney to bed. Family member had to sign for patient as NO staff from Manor Care was there to sign. No staff was present to orient patient to call bell or how to work bed. Patient contracted C-diff while in Manor Care, multiple other patients had active C-diff at this time. Poor technique was witnessed -- housekeeping without gloves or gown cleaned floor of room and touch surfaces, removed disposable mop head (again NO gloves) and without washing hands went to clean the next patients room. When patient asked to be taken to the toilet she was told to "go in your diaper because I do not have enough help to get you up". Contacting anyone from administration is extremely difficult, we were generally told "they are in a meeting". The discharge procedure was both stressful and grief filled due to poor communication and planning -- Not all staff was bad. Some of the nurses, PT and OT staff displayed knowledgeable and kind nursing and rehabilitative skills. And, Manor Cares ability to mask the typical smell is a plus. However, if you have a choice then choose a different facility.

My grandfather is at Manorcare. We had issues with them losing his clothes to the point where he no longer trusts them to wash his clothes. We have a woman to pick his laundry weekly because they lost all his clothes and never recovered that. His surgery required that they make a very large incision on his leg, and for some reason, he has not been healing very well, and the doctor told the nursing facility that they have to change the bandages every day. However, it is constant battle getting them to do that. The staff is fairly nice, but I think they could be better.

The nurses at Manorcare Health Services are very caring. When my grandmother rings the button, they come right away. They’re very respectful and kind. Originally, she was in a 2-bedroom, and now, she’s in a 3-bedroom. They’re not the biggest, but they suit her. She doesn’t have any complaints.

My aunt was in Manorcare. It was horrible. Very poor communication. They were not clean at all. The place smelled so bad. My aunt ended up getting a decubitus ulcer on her bottom and it was bad. She kept falling out of bed. They wouldn't even check on her for hours, and she'd be lying on the floor. They did not allow rails there, or mats, so when she'd fall out of bed, she'd fall on the hard floor. That was awful. She got a lot of cuts and bruises in there. They could improve on the cleanliness, and the nursing staff needs to attend to the patients.

Dad has been in Manorcare twice. I love the staff. They took care of my dad and they were really good to him. Everybody was nice and helpful. The food was really good. Unfortunately his insurance won't cover it.

I walked right in, was not greeted or asked who I was or who I was there to see. The facility appeared to be clean. I visited my mother in law twice while she was there and never saw a nurse come in and check on her or her roommate whom was paralyzed. My mother in law complained that the nurses were slow to respond when she requested assistance. At one point she had asked to have her bed sheets changed as she had not been bathed in 2 days and was laying in the same sheets. After waiting an hour for the nurse to return, my mother in law was able to get her own sheets off the bed and through them in the all way to get someone's attention. She stated she would never want to go back there again. I was not impressed with this facility or it's staff. Anyone could walk right in and do whatever they wanted in that facility.

To start off me and my wife would frequent this facility at least one to two times a week and at various times of the day and night to check up on our Grandma. At first glance of the outside of the facility appears to be very nice and clean. The same goes for the inside of the lobby and through out the halls, although the flooring could use a bit of touch up. The rooms are pretty small in nature being that they fit an occupancy of two patients, but other than that the rooms appear to be otherwise clean. The staff was for the most part friendly, that was of course when you could get there attention. I would have to say that my only real complaint would be the lack of knowledge that the nurses had for my Grandma, which in my book is one of the most important things to me. I'm not sure if it was due to communication error on both parts from the doctors and nurses, but whatever the case I felt that it was something that needed to be addressed. Overall I give this facility a average 3 star rating. My Grandma made a full recovery and is out now and doing great. At the end of the day that is all that matters. Just one quick bit of advice no matter what facility good or bad, if you want good care for your loved one then I recommend that you show your face and presents frequently and the more the staff knows of your frequency the better overall care will be and don't be afraid to always ask questions. Thanks.

This skilled nursing facility and rehab center appeared clean and well organized. The facility is centrally located in Hemet with easy access and parking. Easy access to shops and public transportation also. The facility has a pretty lobby with burgers and hot dogs being served to all staff, residents and visitors in the lobby the day I was there. As I walked around I observed many seniors being worked with for physical and occupational therapy. Busy place! I observed the staff being caring and attentive to the residents. When I visited I also saw many visitors in and out to see thier loved one. I had a positive feeling when I was there.
