I had an in-person tour of Landmark Villa. I like the number of options they had, rather than just a studio or a one-bedroom apartment, which is what I was looking at. They also had a large studio apartment and a shared room option. The staff was very thoughtful and patient with the questions. They had appliances there, like a stove, an oven, and a refrigerator.

My friend lives in Landmark Villa. I mostly have good comments about them. They seem to care about their residents. They go above and beyond to help them. They were willing to work within my friend's budget, which is helpful. I had lunch there once and it was very good. The staff was very helpful, very concerned, and caring. I have seen the whole place, the downstairs areas, and the dining room. There's a movie room and some outdoor areas where residents can be if they want to. They were good. They were kept in good shape and they decorated it for the holidays. They put a lot of effort into it. Cleanliness is fine.

Landmark Villa was excellent. The manager of the facility was really nice. She showed me everything about the place. I was very happy and very pleased. It was great. They had service for laundry and for haircuts. They had a cafeteria, a library, and a little sitting area outside like a garden area. The staff who assisted me was great. She was awesome. She was knowledgeable and she answered all my questions. She understood what my situation was. She was great. If I was able to get my brother in there, I would have done it, but at this point, that's on hold right now.

The staff made my mom feel like family right away. My mom lived at Landmark for over 5 years and I never had a single complaint during that time. Their loving care helped my mom live much longer than expected and I have referred several friends and family to move their parents to Landmark if they need a wonderful place to live. My mom enjoyed the live music and great parties. She had a beautiful one bedroom apartment with a balcony that overlooked one of the gardens. They did a an amazing job doing her laundry and keeping her place clean. There were lots of bird feeders and they allow pets which made her much happier. The food was great and I enjoyed eating there too. I highly recommend Landmark Villa to anyone looking for the right place for their loved one. Finding Landmark was such a blessing for our family. I will always be grateful to their loving staff that felt like our extended family.

My father-in-law is in Landmark Villa. The place looks very welcoming and the staff members were friendly. They had independent living for people who just needed basic services including meals, and they also have a higher level for those who need medication management, for an additional fee. They have a lot of activities. They have an activity room, a backyard, a dining room, there's a salon service on-site, and a reading room. The value for money is great, their rent is reasonable.

I went to Landmark Villa. They have some very good amenities that go with the monthly rent. They have transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and to banking. The monthly rent includes food, three meals a day, and laundry. And someone comes to clean the apartment weekly. They have reasonable rates, and options for a companion living, that would be with a shared apartment with another person, and they showed us that type of situation. They also showed us a one-bedroom and more of a studio-type apartment. They gave us three different options. They have a little kitchen in each room. They have a stove and refrigerator, and if you're moving and then you have utensils and things, and they don't have them there, you would bring your own. The marketing director was very nice. She was very friendly, she answered all our questions. They showed us the menu and they showed us some alternative food items that you could order if you didn't care for what was on the menu. It's an older building, so everything's not just looking up to date. It has a dated look to it, but it was very clean. I think that the staff seemed to be very friendly and nice, and some of the employees have worked there for quite some time. So, that was a plus, that they have been there a long time.

Landmark Villa was a great place. The rooms were very good, spacious enough, clean, and very workable for me. The place was clean and well kept up. The residents were very friendly. The staff that I dealt with and the others that I came in contact with were all very nice and friendly. I would like it a little closer to downtown, but that's all, and that would be workable.

We chose Landmark Villa for mom because it was nice and clean, they had a lot for her to do, and she had her own apartment. It's a perfect fit. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about what was going on. They provide daily activities. They have a salon, fitness classes, and an outside area for the residents to sit if they like to. They met my mother where she was at in terms of her income, so they were flexible. They have people cleaning daily and it smells fresh and new. She has maid service and laundry service once a week.

The rooms at Landmark Villa were pretty good-sized. They're roomy and have a good layout. The person who gave me a tour was very friendly and informative. The place itself was pretty clean and there were nice outdoor courtyards to sit in the shade and enjoy. Their dining room had plenty of space and they had a nice library.

I toured with RJ. She was very nice and knowledgeable. while touring the facility i was greeted by several staff along the way. What a great atmosphere. It felt like a family. The residents were in the activity parlor exersizing I couldn't believe how big the inside was. The apartments were also big. They have transportation and outings. I think my mom will be happy there.

Landmark Villa was a nice place. I was surprised at its size because it does not look like it from the outside. The staff was attentive. They have a very low staff to residents ratio. They answered all my questions. We toured a studio, a one-bedroom, and deluxe rooms. They had activities, an activity area, and an exercise room. The facility was a bit older and hasn't been remodeled or refurbished. The rooms I toured had dust in places, so it wasn't fully upkeeped, but they were just like empty showrooms.

Visited. Smaller than I wanted for Mom. Residents older than I wanted for my mom. Facility older than I wanted. Outdoor patio needs upkeep. Manager was very nice and informative. Called to follow up after holidays. Mom still refuses to move. Looking for home care.

Landmark Villa had a different feel to it. It was much more family-oriented and homey. Everything that they do is done together. I had the most impressive experience with the person who toured me. She was able to understand first the needs that I was looking for and then geared everything about the tour towards those needs. I liked that personal attention, instead of showing me everything even though some of the things may not even apply to my mother-in-law. It was a different approach. They also had me come in and meet some of the residents. They let me talk to them as well as some of the relatives visiting. So, they were more open.

What I liked the best about Landmark Villa was the employees. There was nothing that I really didn't like. It was just a little dated. The staff member during the tour was very friendly, very nice, very caring, and very accommodating. There's a lot of activities for the residents to do. They have a salon, a courtyard, and a gym.

Landmark Villa was so-so. It's kind of dumpy and it's on Mission Boulevard in Hayward. Hayward is not a great city. You get what you pay for, I guess, but it's not the most ideal place. It was the assisted living that I toured during my visit. The manager there had a great attitude. The place has everything that you would need. They have a washer and dryer and a medication area. They would tell my dad to take his medication and stuff. It's a very old building but the room that I saw was a pretty good size. It's just like renting an apartment. The place is close to where we're living.

My visit at Landmark Villa was really good. The rooms were very nice, everything looked great, and the management seemed really good. The staff seemed very caring and they had nice facilities. One really good thing about them is that they also have very reasonable pricing or cost, but for the money it's really good.

My father was a resident of Landmark Villa at Hayward, and he was there for 24/7 care. The care he received was wonderful. They bent-over backwards particularly because his medications were something that had to be given on a consistent basis several times a day, so they made sure he got his medication. One of the medical assistants stayed with him until he passed, and she stayed with him until Stanford came to get him. It was only like 40 minutes, but to me that's huge. He had a bedroom, a shared bath, and a shared kitchen. The dining room looked very attractive, and they gave lots of options as far as eating availability. There were lots of staff members that were always around to help assist pushing or helping residents get to meals or to other things they wanted to do. They had a nice little library, a pleasant outdoors area, an area where they showed movies, there's a pet bunny rabbit that my dad enjoyed watching when he was able. My dad was on level 6 of care which added to fees. Luckily, compared to other locations it's a great value. The cost was reasonable, and the location was so convenient. That was the number one thing that got us looking closely at this community. The one thing they could do was that they don't have airconditioning and they should.

My visit to Landmark Villa was very good. The staff was great, friendly, and they take care of the residents there. They show a lot of love. The location isn't hard to find, and the place is clean. It's close to shopping centers and not too far from a hospital. The apartments are good and spacious. They get their privacy. The place was the best one I've seen.

I chose Landmark Villa for my brother because I liked the people there. Caroline who does the admissions was really nice, helpful, and caring, as well as Diane the director. It's really clean, bright, spacious, and if I had to be in assisted living, I would live there. My brother has no complaints about the food, and they always have something going on when I go there. They have been consistent with the level of care and support.

I went for a visit at Landmark Villa, and the living area was laid out well. They have a nice floor plan for just one person, and the entrance when you first come in it is small, but very well lit. Most of the staff that I met was very nice.

I am/was a resident of this facility

My wife and I are current residents of Landmark Villa. It's a nice facility. Its environment is fine. Residents here are great. We have a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen. Our apartment is just fine. This facility offers different activities. The activity director would try to get us out of our room. However, we just don't participate in any of their activities. I looked around and a lot of people don't participate because they're kind of like not into it. Food is okay. However, because I'm diabetic with high blood pressure, there's a lot of things I can't eat in this place. The caregivers in this facility are superb; however, they don't have enough people. They try to make do with what they have. They're stretching everybody out; they can only spend little time with the residents. What they promised, they can't produce with the people that they have. They don't have enough people to manage this facility. I'm 78 years old and I don't want to move anymore. I'm tired of moving. I'm okay with this facility but my wife is not happy here. She is not used to this type of thing.

I was surprised to find that it was larger and more spacious than the pictures led on. Overall, the facility was clean and very organized. It wasn't hard to navigate around and the staff is nice an friendly. I was visiting a relative who has been in the facility for about 6 months now. The place gives off a loving and warm feeling and the workers seem generous with their time and patience.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My father is a current resident. It appears to be clean. But, the atmosphere is very dreary. They just installed on the 2nd & 3rd floor an industrial gray carpet that is just too dark. The Lighting is too low and dark. It is very dreary there. It is tough to see in there for my father and some of the residents. They need brighter surrounding so the residents can see well. I researched 5 other places. This place had the best price. The sales staff and caretakers were all present. It'd be really nice to improve the food and the ding room service. The sound of crashing dishes thrown into a bin and staff who are snotty about about seating isn't going over well with Dad. I suggest that they employ a higher quality Med staff or at least people that are more qualified to administer medication. It's better than having him living on his own. I try to stay on top of them.

Other

This assisted living facility is plainer and more basic than many of the others in the area"”and the building is a bit run-down. It's located in a so-so area that doesn't offer any particularly nice scenery or picturesque views. There is an outside area available for residents to use. One drawback is that while residents are encouraged to sit out in the lobby, they are then basically left unattended, without much for them to do. A few basic activities are offered, such as singing performances by outsiders, and dancing is occasionally provided, which some residents seem to enjoy. There are some outings offered, but fewer than at most other facilities. Another drawback is that while some staff members do seem to care about the residents, most of them are not particularly well-trained. The cost is lower than for other assisted living facilities in the area"”in the range of $2,500 to $3,000 per month. Landmark Villa does accept residents who have memory impairments, but there is no specific dementia unit within the facility.
