Crystal Ridge Care Center was very COVID careful. We had to be tested and wear a mask and a shield. It was a nice place. I actually know a woman who lives there and we went in to visit her. Her room was quite ample. It wasn't huge, but there was certainly room for her to have her belongings. They have a nice exercise area, a courtyard, a craft room, a nice dining room, and walking space for the residents. They also have tables for jigsaw puzzles and activities where they would make crafts/cards/crochet doilies for the table. It seemed to be very well organized.

Meadow View was recommended to me by another care facility when my Alzheimer diagnosed husband broke his hip and was no longer ambulatory. I took him there because I was told they continued to offer therapy to AD patients, something other care facilities did not do because they felt it was not productive. I appreciated the dignity with which he was treated in all other aspects of his care as well, The night my husband passed away I was treated like royalty, with staff caring for my needs as well as his. I realized again the very personal care he had received as every staff person took the time -- either coming on or off their shifts -- to come in and say good-bye to him and cry with me. I recommend this facility to everyone who asks me where they should place their loved one. I wrote the book Life Lessons for Caregivers and they are mentioned in it many times.
