The staff is wonderful at Atria Grass Valley. From the management to the care to the kitchen. My mom has been here for four years and there has been some changes but over the summer I have seen a new life and lots of love being poured into the community and we are as pleased as always. I would recommend Atria to anyone whose parent needs a place to live out the rest of their days.

Our overall tour experience at Atria Grass Valley was good. It seemed like a clean, well-run place. We toured one of the villas; that's what we were interested in. The villa was OK. It had all the amenities we thought we needed. It was acceptable. We really enjoyed the staff member we met. She was helpful and she spent a lot of time with us. She's just a very nice person.

I entered the option of an Assisted Living Community for my wife who had multiple falls and needed a medically and emotionally secure environment with considerable skepticism. The ones I had previously seen seems sterile and more hotel like a home. Her six weeks stay as a respite resident in Atria completely changed my perceptions. Not only did she receive exceptional care and supervision from the highly professional but very friendly staff but her emotional outlook improved dramatically from the culture of caring and compassion clearly valued by both staff and residents. Atria was one of the most positive and warmest community ethos that she had ever experienced. This very genuine attitude and overall culture was a major facilitator of her recovery both emotionally and physically. We both agree that it facilitated her healing, social engagement and overall health and well-being while staying in this highly supportive community. The food is good. The apartments are clean and inviting and contain all the elements of enjoyable living one needs or would want. The entire facility is fastidiously clean and friendly looking while maintaining a classy and inviting overall design and appearance. My wife benefited greatly, and to some degree surprisingly, from all the enjoyable activities scheduled throughout the day and the highly festive environments related to holidays. She enjoyed more social activity and engagement and meeting new friends at Atria then she has several years. It was a very healing and uplifting experience. This is directly related to the environment of helpful support and warm engagement from the Atria staff that clearly encourages that same friendly perspective in the residents. Friendliness a real thing there. She even was able to bring her beloved dog who enjoyed walks around the lovely campus as well as meeting other furry friends of residents. If you or your loved one is looking for an environment of independent or assisted living you cannot do better than the positive, healing and highly beneficial community that Atria fosters at every level. I strongly encourage you to visit. See for yourself how a skeptic is transformed into a strong supporter simply by a culture created to do exactly that and is highly successful in doing so. Put Atria at the top of your list as the most beneficial move you can make for yourself or your loved one.

We toured Atria Grass Valley. The staff was very pleasant, upright, and honest. They offered medication service, laundry service, and meal service either in their room or down there. If necessary they would bring the meals to the room. They gave us free pies. The only negative thing, is it had an extremely sterile attitude. There was nobody wandering around to talk to. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Rooms are nice but, have become overpriced compared to other facilities. The rent seems to regularly increase without a change in living conditions. My husband and I had dinner with his mother and the food was on par with a school cafeteria. On a positive note the appearance is very nice but, unfortunately Grandma is already asking to move and it has been less than a year here.

Atria Grass Valley was absolutely beautiful. The people were very nice. It was so clean. It was just like a five-star hotel. I didn't have a meal there, but the chef baked some scones and gave my sister and me one, which was very good. The rooms were very nice. It was just like an apartment room. You had to bring your own furniture. It was very spacious, very nice and clean. I just can't say enough about them. They're very nice. It's beautiful. I wanted to stay there.

I visited Atria Grass Valley's assisted living. The place was beautiful, clean, elegant, and very well taken care of. The price reflects that too. It's very expensive but the price reflects the fact that they do, at least, put it back in the facility. The residents are well taken care of. It looked like they had a healthy menu with good choices. The people who assisted us were very friendly. They expected us, they had literature ready, and were very professional.

We went to Atria Grass Valley. They are an 11 out of ten, very clean, the atmosphere, their residents, their rooms were beautiful, they showed me through the whole facility, and just the people that worked there. I got to talk to the person in charge of the memory care, her assistant, and the activities director. They hit it all at the right time, and they were very professional. The two nurses came here to our home to do an evaluation, and they were very professional, courteous, and patient with my father. The room was very clean, bright, modern, very well kept, and the bathroom was very large with access for wheelchairs. I saw the dining room, but was unable to try any of the food because of COVID. It was like a hotel dining room, and it was very open and nice with tablecloths.

We put Mom at Atria Grass Valley. So far, so good. She's doing really well. It's hard for her to adjust because she has lived a very quiet life, and she's trying to deal with it better. They do medication for her, but everything else she does herself. The staff is very nice. I ate there the other day for lunch and it was really good. They have a lot of activities, but she hasn't participated in any. They have exercise classes, yoga, art, painting, jewelry making, and they do a lot of community service type projects. They try to keep the residents as active as they possibly can. Her room is very small, but her furniture fits in there really well, and she likes it. It has a little kitchenette, so it gives her more storage space. It feels more like a home that way. It's a little pricey, but if she's happy there, that's all that matters. I want her to be safe and happy.

Our trip to Atria Grass Valley was very nice, but the weather was too hot for me, plus the people in town said the air quality isn't good there. I wanted a two-bedroom cottage, but there is a two-year wait. The people were excellent. The girl who took me around was very good. It was a very good visit, and I discussed a lot of things with them. I'd give them a 5 for what I saw, what they told me, and what they showed me, but not for living there. It was over 100 degrees every day, and we all agreed that it would not be the place; I thought going to a mountain area may be a little bit cooler. They cannot control the weather. They showed me the one-bedroom/one-bath, the dining room, the hall, the exercise room, and told me about the pool that you could go to, which was not on the property. They showed me a menu and introduced me to various people. They offered us a meal. I did not like the smallness of the place inside. It's too hard going from a brightly lit house into 600 square feet. I could not handle that at this stage. They had good amenities. They were very good, and the people living there seemed to be very happy with the place. I can't move into such a small place at this time, and a larger place was not available for two years. Plus, it was so hot that I walked into the lake fully dressed to cool off. They have air-conditioning inside but I don't want to be inside all the time. I want to be out in the fresh air.

Atria Grass Valley was very nice, and it was very large. It did not have quite the homey feel, but it was nice and clean. It seemed to be more formal. Their dining was more restaurant type of dining, and you get to choose what you wanted to eat at different meals.

Atria was very nice, the whole area was very clean and had a good location. The people were friendly, the dining room was nice, and the rooms were adequate. The staff was very professional. There were plenty of activities, but it was a little pricey for mom.

The Atria was fine. The person I spoke with was very helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff seemed helpful and open to questions. Basically, the tour was shorter than the actual sitting down and discussing the issues at hand. They had buses that went downtown and things like that. They did not have a swimming pool. It was very good, but I think my sister would need more activities. It sounded like they had a really good chef. I asked about farm-to-table, they said they had too much food, and I guess there was some issue about keeping it fresh all the time for the amount of food they were producing for the residents. It sounded like the food was good, and they are doing the best they could with it being fresh and interesting. I looked at the menu, and it was quite nice. As far as I know, it seemed like it was well-run, and the food was good.

Atria Grass Valley was very nice. The person there was very nice. The apartment was OK. They had a community bus for going outside the facilities and tons of activities. Besides the soup being cold, the food was pretty good.

Atria Grass Valley had very good rooms, but they didn’t have anything available that what we were looking for. It was nice and very spacious. They have classes, arts and crafts, and stuff like that. The dining room was very clean, and the menus looked very good. You could go down and get the food at any time, and you can also take the food to your room and eat it there. Everybody was happy, and the staff was excellent.

I wanted to go to Atria in Grass Valley. I decided I would go to a cottage, and hopefully I could get in because they did not have many. I liked it, but except for the cottages, it wasn’t really what I was looking for because I was looking for two bedroom units and they mostly had one bedroom. I thought they had three 2-bedroom units inside the main building, then they had the cottages. I liked the idea of the cottages. I thought it would be an easier transition to go from the house to a duplex. I didn’t really interact with any of the staff except for the marketing lady that showed me the place. I liked her. She was very helpful and very nice. I had lunch, and the lunch seemed fine and pleasant. I had a meal with one of the residents who was also in the cottages. We were able to talk to her and we got some information.

We visited Atria Grass Valley. It was a wonderful place and we had a great tour. We had lunch there. We met some residents and staff. I would certainly recommend it. The food was excellent. The rooms and grounds were beautiful. They had lots of activities. They had lots of things at the place. Grass Valley was a very cultural place in itself and so they offered a lot of opportunities to do things.

We really liked Atria Grass Valley. The place was great. The staff was very nice. In fact, they had already invited my mother-in-law, although she was not in yet and she was on the waiting list, to a seminar that’s taking place all day. That was really nice. I would definitely recommend it. As far as what I had seen, I was very impressed.

I visited Atria. The staff was very helpful and very informative. It was a beautiful facility. It just was not right for my brother. It was very large. They had independent-living apartments and went all the way up to memory care. My brother was kind of in between memory care and assisted living. The assisted-living area was where I would have rather put him, but it was really large. However, the food was wonderful. We had lunch there. It was very well prepared. It was like eating in a restaurant, and they had the meals for the day, but the resident could also order from a menu. They were very accommodating, as far as that goes. They had several different sitting times, like 11 to 3 for lunch, for instance, which was one of the reasons why it would not work out for my brother, because he had to have a very specific time. It was a beautiful place. It was almost like a hotel, the lobby and all. It was decorated very nicely. They had activities, and they gave me a nice booklet that explained everything, with the schedule of activities. As the assisted living would not work for him because it was too big and he would have been lost, the memory care part was too small and I thought too quite. I knew they said they had a lot of things going on, but I did not see anything going on at that time. Also, they did not have private rooms. They had shared rooms, and the bathrooms were outside. They did not have a bathroom in their rooms, and I did not like that. I was kind of surprised, because they were very expensive, so you would think that they had private rooms with a bathroom. It was more of those who needed assisted living or just independent living and had apartments. We knew some people who actually moved over into an apartment, but they were independent. It just seemed like they put most of their effort into people who did not need much help. However, it was a beautiful area, and it would work for a lot of people.

The staff at Atria Grass Valley was exceptional. There were lots of followups. They were very cooperative and answered our questions when we visited. The facility has art programs too, so that was good. It was very good. My mother would have done very well going there too. However, I rated them a 4 because they didn't have a pool. Otherwise they have all the similar type of activities, and I felt really good about it. The staff was friendly and made my mom feel at home. They did a really good job of making it feel that they really want her to come there.

We liked the Atria Grass Valley but not the location. The people seemed very nice and the residents seemed happy. They had some vacancies, which was a plus because not everybody does. They had organized activities and field trips.

We visited Atria, and it was lovely. We would love for my mother to be there, but she’s just not ready to make the move; it’s not the facility at all. I was impressed with the outside facilities, the garden, and just the friendliness of the staff. They even gave me a present: some kind of sauce from their kitchen. For my mother, they were offering cooking, baking, and flower arranging, and that’s something that we thought she might be interested. They also have a hairdresser downstairs, which I thought was really nice, and a podiatrist, too, or someone who’d come in and take care of those personal needs. We were told that she could have transportation to doctor appointments if needed. My overall impression was very good.

Atria Grass Valley is the best place for my husband. Their services are very good, and the people who work there are very committed to their jobs. They are all friendly, and they make sure that he gets his medicine when he is supposed to. They also have good food and a lot of entertainment. The place looks really high class with nice carpeting and nice walls. Everything is just really topnotch. I have recommended this place many times.

Atria was the only one that was open in my area. I have very limited resources where I live. It was very clean. The staff was very attentive and very friendly My father has a studio. It wasn't too bad and it suited the purpose. The dining area was very good. I like the director of the assisted living. She was very helpful and pleasant.

First off, this facility is clean. When you walk into the lobby, it is nice and tidy and open, not all closed and uninviting. The facility offers assisted living and also has a dementia area as well. The employees tend to be caring and do their jobs well. The dining room is big and the residents have many choices of seating. The food is wonderful and prepared nice and hot and fresh. The outside is maintained very well too. There are activities for the residents too, movies, pool, exercise, and at the holidays, a trip out to see the lights. If your loved one just wants a safe place to live on their own, there are cottages on site, if they need a little help, then they can have their own apartment inside, or if they need the extra help due to dementia, as I said, they have that too. All-in-all, this is by far the best assisted living facility I have seen in Grass Valley California.

Quail Ridge is a beautiful retirement community. It's located on a hilltop just a few minutes out of the downtown area, close enough for someone to walk (or take the bus, which is available to residents). The surrounding view isn't anything spectacular, but the landscaping and buildings on the property are lovely. Every time I've visited, the staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The lobby and hallways are always clean and peaceful. The residents I spoke with seemed very happy with their accommodations and the rooms I saw were well-decorated, spacious, and bright. I was also impressed with the activities offered for residents. I took a look at the schedule of events on a calendar when I was there and things seemed pretty busy. Of course, I haven't spent an extensive amount of time there myself and I haven't had any particularly long conversations with the residents about their situations, but from my experience so far I'd say that Quail Ridge is a very nice place to live.
