I moved to Westmont of Santa Barbara. The staff was very helpful. The food is not like home cooking. It's good. It's a very nice place. They have all kinds of things going on for the seniors. I haven't participated in any. They've got exercise rooms that I use all the time. They have nice patios and a courtyard, and it's all enclosed with the building. It's right in the center of the complex, so it's well-protected.

The facility is beautiful, with some dedicated staff and adequate rooms for the residents. However, several key features are not being delivered by the new Director. The facility is understaffed for care providers, resulting in long waits and errors in care. There are no outings or community events. The facility's van has been out of service for months. The dining room is also understaffed, resulting in long waits for meals, and the food quality needs to be better. This facility has potential, but a new direction is necessary to align with the advertised experience.

Westmont of Santa Barbara was small and homey. The staff was informative. The rooms were basic. Cleanliness was minimal. I just felt that it was expensive for what it was.

I liked it very much. It was kept beautifully clean. Everybody was very friendly. The residents that I spoke with seemed happy, and I could see a lot of activities going on while I was there. I very much liked the private room that my husband would have for respite care. It was roomy and spacious. They also had a great system for monitoring falls, and that was demonstrated to me. The staff who gave me the tour was very friendly and very informative. He happened to be the head of the entire maintenance department, so he had implemented many of the systems that he was showing me. They also sent me home with some dinner rolls for my husband.

It was a 5 out of 5 on everything. It was a lovely place. It was very clean and very new. Memory care was very safe and protected. They had lots of activities available. The dining facility had beautiful menus, and I would eat there. I can't say enough about it, it was just wonderful. They had on-staff rehabilitation people, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. They had a beautiful garden for the residents to plant and grow vegetables or flowers. They had a library, exercise facilities, a beautiful dining room, and private dining rooms. It was just really very nice.

Going downhill. We really loved this place when my parent moved in two years ago. There had been consistency in directors, the cost was aligned with other facilities in the area, and the staff seemed to genuinely care. Through covid, services began to fray. Food was inconsistent, and we would find that additional services that we were paying for would be skipped here and there. Around the facility, little things were being missed too, like the bistro not being stocked with fresh coffee or water, umbrellas missing from a messy interior patio, or the theater wasn't working for weeks. Fast forward to mid-2022, and almost all of the directors have turned over in the past 6-8 months. Lack of maintenance over the past few years has caused failures, such as to wi-fi service. Residents are stressed by the lack of communication or continuity. Then a letter for a 10% increase in rents, and charges for 'amenities' that were previously included by the facility. Mariposa claims that it is to bring the facility in line with others in the area, but it actually puts them above many others.

We went here and it's pretty well organized. It seems to be a nice place. The staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable. It's got a pretty nice apartment room. I saw some areas where they had activities. They have a yard and a small library.

My friend has moved in. It's bright and friendly, very clean, and well organized and the environment is a good feeling. Everybody says hello, and the staff is great. We didn't even know them at first, and they're very welcoming. I am surprised by all the activities that go on. My friend hasn't been too much involved in them yet, but they have something going on every single day of the week, even on weekends. When I was there, they did some tie-dyeing. They have movie night every night after dinner. They're going to have cart wash, where you go outside and everybody can wash their walker and wheelchair and have a party. They have a pianist go and play for them. They do nature walks, they go shopping, they play bingo called Chocolate Bingo, and they're going to be having a talent show coming up. There are many things that they do. I'm impressed with how attentive they can be. It's just not one person that comes in. It could be a couple of them that come in because he's a big man. They come in and tend to him. I'm happy about that. He has a call button, so if he needs extra help, they'll come in within up to like 20 minutes. They serve three meals a day down in the dining room. You can also ask for food any time of the day. I've tried the food a few times, and it's good. I had fettuccini with sundried tomatoes and steamed vegetables and lemonade. The other day we had salmon. You have choices. They give you a menu and they don't serve you anything you don't want. There's always a dessert and a choice of beverages. If you want seconds, they'll give you seconds. They have a library, a laundry facility, a physical therapy facility, an activity room, and downstairs in the patio, they can play cornhole. They have rails in the hallway for anybody who needs to use them for assistance. They have little sitting areas for quiet time for people. The staff is friendly and they remember me. They're very pleasant. It is a little bit expensive, but they do it on a point system, how much care you need. The less care you need, the less it's going to be. It can be pricy, but I believe they're all pricy. Our first week has been rather successful for him. So far, we don't have any problems and we're not expecting any. He has a good-sized room. It's like a studio.

I went to look and it was fairly new and nice. They were getting pretty full, so I don't know if the space is actually available right now at this time. It was a nice community. They had a nice courtyard. Everybody there was very friendly. We were kind of interested in this one. The food was actually very good. The director was very nice, and the activities director was very friendly, and very knowledgeable.

Our tour was very good, we actually liked it very much. The facility is very nice, very new, it had an easygoing feeling to it, it felt like a home. The staff member who gave the tour was wonderful, very helpful, and informative. We even got invited back for an open house, which was helpful, so we got to meet more of the people who live there. The theater was very impressive, and we observed their exercise time. They have an available beverage area for coffee, tea, and fruit, and it's available all the time. That was very pleasing to my dad. They have a nice area in the front where you can sit, like a patio, which is really nice, and then they also have a patio in the back, which was very nice as well.

I went here. It seemed very nice, it was very clean, it was fine. The staff seemed friendly, very interested, very competent. They have music, exercise, and it seemed fairly standard. They offered the food, but I couldn't stay.

Excellent place where my mother LOVES living! Their music program is over the top! There have been excellent activities that are well thought out and executed during the pandemic! My mom also loves the food though I think there could be more variety. (That is why I gave it four stars instead of five.) Overall, I highly recommend this place!
