I visited this facility

I toured Vintage Gardens Assisted Living. I saw they have a suite and one-bedroom, dining area, theater, and hair salon area. They are very helpful in giving me the answers I need for the type of service they have. The person who showed me around was very genuine and gave me good attention as to what I needed.

I visited this facility

Vintage Gardens Assisted Living was a 2-story building. I did not see too many residents walking around or in the common areas while I was touring around. The place was clean and the rooms were nice. The dining area was nice, too. They had water available all day for the residents. They encouraged their water intake. It was more restaurant-style dining with separate tables. The staff was good and the residents that I saw looked happy.

I visited this facility

I toured Vintage Gardens Assisted Living last January. They were very nice. It's very accommodating, I think it would just be a little bit hard for my mother to navigate. It would be better for somebody that's a little bit more ambulatory. You would have to have a lot more assistance. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and very thorough. The COVID protocol was good. Everybody was masked, and everything was so perfect. It seemed to be very nice, very clean, and no bad smells at all. The common room was very nice. They were having bingo in there, so everybody seemed to be having fun.

My mom likes Vintage Gardens, and we were trying to get her in. It was clean, comfortable, and had a lot of things to do. It was active, too. The staff was really nice and answered our questions. They had crafts, music, bingo, and field trips. I had a good lunch. The cost was a little higher than what we could afford.

I am extremely pleased with Vintage Gardens; they have been fine in all respects. I met a lot of the staff, and they're doing a super job. The job is extremely clean, and the people living there are very friendly and nice people. They all talked about the food being really great, and my brother is very pleased with the food. They have something going on in the recreation room every time I go there. They play cards, they play dominos, a woman was singing songs, and they had an exercise class in the morning for those in wheelchairs and walkers. They have a small theater for showing movies.

In response to the menu selection, I think it was conveyed wrong, because we do offer a menu selection. Breakfast there are a variety of selections each morning. Lunch offers two choices for the entrée and five (5) other alternates. Dinner is the lighter meal offering two choices and (5) alternates.

Mom is Japanese and Vintage Gardens is about 75% Japanese in its demographics, so she has some friends there, and it's a better fit for her than some places. The staff is very nice. My mom is in a studio apartment, and they have a music room and a library. They don't do a menu selection, but she's the type who has trouble deciding, so it's OK if they don't do a menu selection.

Vintage Gardens was very calm and organized. The staff was friendly. The rooms were smaller but still a good size, and you can bring your own furniture, which is a nice touch.

I visited this facility

Vintage Gardens was a wonderful place, but I wasn't there long enough. The people seemed nice enough. The apartments were clean, but old. They had a full calendar of activities. They had their own bus and large grounds. They don't have a memory care unit. They should have a place where they can take people with mild to moderate dementia where the doors are secured. A lot of people that have mild dementia may want to wander a little bit, and they don't take them because of that reason, and that was disappointing. Other than that, they have a good reputation, and I can't say anything negative about them. They just couldn't help us.

Vintage Garden was very nice, and I really liked it but they were booked. They did not have any openings at that time. It was really well-maintained, upscale as far as the place itself, and it’s like a newer facility. It was clean, and the staff was well-trained. When I visited and took a tour, the room they showed me was a model room; it was like an actual room but they said all the rooms are similar and the model room they showed me was nice and spacious. The facility was very clean and well-maintained, and I really liked it. I saw their dining area, and like I said everything is pretty, really modern, and upscale. I didn’t actually see what kind of food they served, but the dining area was a nice area.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My dad has been living in Vintage Gardens for a couple of years. It's a pretty nice place and so is the staff. The residents seemed to be pretty happy. We did have lunch there and the food is pretty good. My dad likes it very much.
