My husband stayed at Aviara Healthcare Center for two weeks. They had good physical and occupational therapists folks. The attitude of the nurses and everything was very caring, very comforting, and very empathetic. However, I was not overwhelmed by the administration. I think they were not quite all together, but the professional side was very, very well handled and everything. According to my husband, the food was good. When you got into there, it looked like you were in a hospital ward, so it's all set up that way. It's double occupancy. There are two beds in one room. It feels like you're in an actual hospital-type setup from that standpoint. The nursing station and OT and PT station all looked very much hospital-like and everything like that.

You have to visit this place! If you are trying to find a hoe for your loved one, look no more! They energy as soon as you walk in is positive and “fun”. They offer many different activities throughout the day, they also have such a great staff! I had a few questions and was unsure about a few things but they were right there with answers and was even able to show me around some more to calm my nerves about the move in if my loved one. Very much enjoyed this place. The residents looked like they enjoyed it as well, smiling faces and good energy all around! You have to visit this place if you are looking for a home for your loved one.

I WAS IN THE REHAB PART RECOVERING FROM A HEAD INJURY. THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE I LOST 18 POUNDS.THE LADY (JOANI) THAT RUNS THE PLACE IS INEPT ! MOST OF THE STAFF (THAT CARED FOR ME ARE TEMPS) HAVE NO PEOPLE SKILLS. I WAS TOLD THAT ONE DAY SOME OF THE STAFF HAD CONTRACTED COVID. THATS THE DAY I CALLED MY GIRLFRIEND TO GET ME OUT OF THAT PLACE. WE LEFT THE SAME DAY. I DON'T RECCOMD THAT FACILITY TO ANYONE

My stay here at Aviara was more than great, the food had great flavor and taste. I enjoyed my experience with the staff who were very caring and attentive. My sessions with the therapist were always reassuring, they made feel great and reassured me that I was getting stronger. Aviara is a facility I would definitely recommend to others.

My husband was in Aviara Healthcare Center. They were very nice and had two sections for short-term and long-term. Part of it was homey, but the rest was a room for sick people. My husband did physical therapy. The staff was very nice. The food looked nice. They had a big, nice dining area for residents who wanted to go out and eat, but my husband basically ate in his room.

Horrible nursing facility. I will never let anyone I know and love go there. My aunt was there for 30 days and they left the same Foley catheter in the whole time! They're supposed to be changed every 3-5 days to prevent bladder infections. She was transferred to a hospital for surgery and had to have the surgery cancelled because of a horrible bladder infection that had almost caused septic shock! They almost killed her by not doing their jobs! The care was poor all around. I've seen dog shelters provide better care. Do not let anyone you love go to Aviara!!

We have a family member at this facility ; The space is very clean and without odors. There is always plenty of staff who are willing to go that extra step to improve a resident's health even when the resident resists : The staff charm and humour with a caring touch. The decor is a little dark and dated; the shared rooms small but with a sliding door to a courtyard.

My mom was at Aviara Healthcare Center mainly for rehabilitation. The facility looked clean, the hallways were white and lit. They tried to cater to her and seemed very concerned. They got a really soft touch because she was older and even if she said a lot of nasty things. They seemed professional and documented what they did. The therapist helped her out and she was definitely on the job. Her wheelchair and walker were ready for the transition. They did what they needed to do.

My 92 year old Mother was placed at Aviara for rehabilitation following a hospital stay for aspiration pneumonia. The facility was clean and cheerful. Mother's semi-private room was large. There was a flat screen TV, chairs for guests, large closets, and chests for storing personal items. There was a view of a lovely garden out the window. The rehabilitation staff was kind and knowledgeable. Mother had physical therapy, speech therapy and fine motor skill therapy. She made progress at a nice pace. She was back up and walking with in two weeks. She was barely able to say a single word when she arrived and was speaking again after a short time. The downside for her was the dining situation. Because she was admitted following aspiration pneumonia, she was required to eat in the dining room with a staff member at her table. Unfortunately, this group of residents was the last to be served. This meant being in the dining room for over an hour which was too long and tiring for her. The family tried to time visits at mealtime so that we could supervise her meals in her room. The nursing staff was attentive and knowledgeable. They consulted Mother's personal physician whenever there was a question. Mother was pleased with the staff that gave her a shower.Overall, a safe and pleasant experience.
