I have been here at Emerald Valley for three weeks now. There's not a lot I like about it. I have yet to get a meal come in hot. But the people that work here couldn't be any better. The staff are excellent. Food would probably be good if it's warm. They have quite a variety and everything else. There is a microwave in here so that I could heat it up, but I can't walk over there to do it. There's a refrigerator and a microwave in my room.

The rooms in Emerald Valley were beautiful. The one that I looked at is a one-bedroom. I liked everything except the stove. They had a stove in there that only had two burners, one in the front, and one in the back. I did not like that. You should have both burners in the front. They have activities like gardening, and my mother loves gardening. I saw the food and it looked good. The staff members were nice.

Emerald Valley is a beautiful facility. Mom lives there and the people are very helpful and very accommodating. The food is very good. They have a very good activity director and she has a very good list of activities that they have an opportunity to do on a daily basis. They have a calendar that is posted everywhere, noting those activities and times, and I am impressed. They also have live entertainment and they provide transportation to anywhere my mom would need to go to for appointments. The place is very clean. Their food is restaurant style, where residents are treated with a lot of dignity. They have waiters that will come to them and show them a menu. They also have a bistro which allows them fresh fruit and drinks any time.

I really liked it. It was beautiful and really nice. The gal that helped was excellent. She was really super nice and very helpful. My mom didn't like it. She said it was too modern. It's really clean, bright, and brand new. They just opened up a year ago. We saw the assisted living, and they walked us through the memory care also. The staff that gave us the tour was great. The rooms have more of a full size refrigerator and a microwave. They had an outdoor space with tables, chairs, and umbrellas. You can invite your family over and have a barbecue if you want.

It was very nice. The staff was wonderful. The room was also very nice and nicely appointed. The kitchen area was just a little small. There wasn't a lot of room for storage or stuff, but other than that, everything else was very nice. There's lots of natural light and it was very pleasant when you looked out of the windows. The dining area was set up like a restaurant-style. They had happy hours in the afternoons in this little social area, daily activities, a salon, a theater room, a green area, and transportation.

Overall, we thought it was a nice and very good facility. My brother had stayed there for a short time, temporarily, and made some friends. It seemed like they provided everything that he was happy with. He enjoyed the food and they had recreational things, like an exercise room, a movie theater, and community events.

I toured and it's very nice and very new. It looked like a hotel, they have engaging activities, and it's super close to my house. The contact there was super professional. They have a really nice and engaging staff. We saw somebody's breakfast sitting out waiting for them. They said they individually feed the residents when they get up, so they don't all have to be marching to the same time. That was nice. It was more tailored. They had a patio. It's a pretty small space, but they did have a very nice outdoor patio.

It is a brand-new facility; they have maybe five residents in the memory care. They have both a shared-room and a studio option. I only saw the studio for my brother. The bathrooms are nice, but the floor wasn't level, and my brother is in a wheelchair. There is a little bit of a rise to get up because from hallway carpet it's a lower carpet that transitions into tile. And it just seemed like there was a little bit of a rise, maybe a half inch to an inch, that you would have to overcome to get into the bathroom. It just seemed very small compared to what he's going to have now. The outdoor area is just a balcony, they don't have any greenery, and there are no umbrellas out there for the sun. There were just some tables and chairs and no water feature. If you're in a memory care setting, you'd like to have some kind of a calming environment. It is secure; they have glass or plastic partitions that are pretty high, so you cannot jump over the side, but it's on the second floor. The staff seemed very nice. The lady I spoke with was on her first day at the job, so she wasn't very knowledgeable. She had to keep asking somebody else questions. They have a TV area, a little area for crafts and things, and a beautiful display kitchen where they heat up the food. They can show how to make cookies and things like that. It was a beautiful kitchen. The counter actually has a warmer. It warms up to keep the food warm on the counter, but the residents can't touch it, so it is a very, very high-end kitchen and very high-end looking. The communal spaces are very high end.
