My Father In law just moved in to the Carlton in Davis. He has some issues with the transition. The staff are so caring and on top of it. They have called me with several options to keep him there as he cannot live alone. They really do care about him as a person. I am really impressed with the employees and the facility is well kept. I could not recommend this senior living facility enough. We looked at 3 other places. One was $400 more per month but did not offer transportation, another was the same price but really horrible and depressing, it was more for seniors that needed a lot of care, it looked like a former motel. It is really important to look at your options before deciding where to place your loved one.

We had a quick visit to Carlton Senior Living Davis. They had two rooms and one was under construction and the other one was a one-bedroom. We had to have a two-bedroom. The building wasn't as nice as the other two places. They had a little garden outside.

We went to Carlton Senior Living Davis. The people we met were friendly. They had an activity going on there. It was full of people, and they were lively. The facilities were very nice, very clean, and well-lit. There was a lot of natural light in that facility. The staff were very caring and very knowledgeable.

Carlton Senior Living Davis has independent, assisted, and memory care. My mother is going into the assisted living. I like that it was a diverse community (at least that was how it was presented to me by the saleslady). The clientele there represented the community of Davis. There was a lot of retired professors and teachers, and that's what I was looking for. I was looking for something where there were intelligent people, so that it would be a lively community. As far as the staff goes, I only met the lady who was taking us around, and she was great. I didn't meet the rest of the staff. They had a nice big library, and they had a room that was at least half dedicated to Bridge players. My mom is a Bridge player, so I liked that. It wasn't super fancy, but it wasn't real dingy either. It was a good compromise. They had exercise classes and groups that played Bridge. I liked that they had educational discussion groups, which my mother liked. They had the ability to go over to the Mondavi Center (which is the performing arts center at UC Davis) and see things going on there. They take them on outings. I thought that was great because my mother likes to be involved in a cultural life.

My mother-in-law has moved into the Carlton Senior Living Davis. She's in their assisted living, and it's just been excellent. Everybody's been very helpful, kind, and pleasant. The place is just immaculate and beautiful. They have lots of activities and have good food. We chose it because of just everything that we saw. The staff was very nice, presentable, and very helpful. The place just looks beautiful. The activity list was good, and we heard that the chef is really excellent. They have a beauty parlor on-site, too.

We have found a place for my mom. We have put a community fee down for when they have an opening. It's a great place, Carlton Senior Living Davis. It's a beautiful facility. The person who gave us the tour was really helpful. They have all the services she needs. It's also within walking distance of where we live. The staff was more than helpful. I have nothing but positive things to say about the place. I would give it the highest rating for everything. The rooms are beautiful there. They're accessible. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but we did see the menu. My brother and I went there. The menu should be better there than she does here. The facility was spotless. The amenities were great. It was almost like a hotel.

My friend is in Carlton Senior Living Davis. She's in memory care. It's very nice. It's very attractive and very well decorated in a tasteful way. The staff was very courteous on arrival, and when I walked to her room, they were very courteous. They have a lovely dining room and common room downstairs. My friend lives on the third floor. The corridors are tastefully decorated and have grab bars on one or both sides along the walls for people like me who need help. Her apartment was a one-bedroom with a bath, a tiny kitchenette, and a small living room. It was very nice. When she moved in about two years ago, she wanted colorful walls, which they were very happy for her to have. Her son bought the paint and painted the walls in the colors that she chose. Then the lockdown came, so I didn't see her for almost a year, and by that time, she had moved into memory care, and that's where I saw her last week. I was very impressed with the accommodations there. Again, she had a nice room, somewhat larger than the one she had had in independent care. The common area, again, was large and airy, with big windows and light coming in, comfortable furniture, very pleasant, quiet music, and numerous staff interacting with the patients there, some of whom were in wheelchairs, and others who were at a game table wanting to play a game. There was a kitchen area in the common room where two people were having their breakfast at about eleven o'clock. Across the hall from that was a very nice and quiet common room, with easy chairs and books on the shelves. At one point I met my friend in the common room and she decided she wanted to go back to her room. So we went out into the hallway, where she started going the wrong way. A staff person was coming toward us and stopped to ask if she could help. My friends told her what she needed, and the staff said she'd be happy to take us to my friend's room. My friend also asked if this person would bring us some cokes, which she did after she got us into my friend's room. So it's a very pleasant visit and a very pleasant place. If I have to go to this kind of care, I would probably choose The Carlton.

Carlton Senior Living Davis was very nice. I hope to go up there to look again. It's my plan to move in there but not for a while. The rooms I saw were very nice and I liked it. I was impressed with their accommodations, their library and fitness center. They had an exercise room, and the staff was very polite and professional. They didn't have any food there. They had an outdoor area, and I think there's a garden area where the residents could plan a favorite plant.

Carlton Senior Living was lovely, and they made a special lunch for us with our names at the table. Everything was lovely, but it was $2,000 more, and we don't know anybody there. We saw a two-bedroom, and it was perfectly adequate. They serve three meals a day.

My mom is living in Carlton Senior Living Davis. It is 5 stars for the care, the facility, and the activities. They're very innovative with Alzheimer's and memory care; they take the patients out if they want to go out on field trips and have morning current events at breakfast. Residents have their own garden that they could go out in anytime they want. The activities director is fantastic. My mom has a beautiful room with high ceilings. It is small, so she doesn't feel afraid. My mom complains about the food. However, when I stayed there for six days and five nights, the meals were fine. They have smaller meals spread throughout the day. I think their food is comparable.

As a physician who has been in a lot of nursing homes and other communities in the past, Carlton Senior Living Davis is the best place I’ve ever been. It’s a spectacular, great community. The problem is that I couldn’t convince my mother to go yet, so we’re kind of waiting until she finally declines enough. Carlton Senior Living Davis was great, clean, safe, and friendly. The residents seemed happy. I couldn’t expect any better than that. The staff member who assisted me was great and very helpful. The activities were mainly exercises. We had lunch there, and food was pretty good. It was probably not as savory as my palate would like, but we don't want them to gain too much weight and do want to keep the sugars down, so I think the food is good.

I liked the friendliness of the staff and availability of a high level of care, and activities at Carlton Plaza. They have exercise and Bingo. The rooms are small but adequate.

Carlton Plaza of Davis was very nice. I would be happy to have my mother-in-law move in there. The rooms were much nicer compared to where she is. The staff was very professional. I had a very nice tour. They were great. It was a very active community.

Carlton Plaza is a very professionally run facility. It is brand new and well set up. The people are very friendly and pleasant. They have 150 rooms, and I think they are about 50 percent filled right now. It is very clean and well taken care of. It is a nice place.
