My mom moved into Sea Bluffs. So far, I very much like the place. My mom's room was nice, but they had limited availability. It's very clean. My mom can take a shower on her own, and they didn't have any more rooms available that had their own shower, which is the only downside. So my mom is using the shower that they would use for somebody who requires assistance taking a shower. They pretty much keep people entertained most of the day. One of the things I like is that they do flower arrangements a couple of hours before dinner, and then once they're done, they use those flower arrangements as a table setting, so there are always fresh flowers at dinnertime on the table. They have a nice garden, and my dog is welcomed there when I go visit. It is the closest to my house, so it's easy to get to.

The Fountains at Sea Bluffs was a nice and clean facility. It seemed like they had a lot to offer to the residents. I was there three years ago to visit someone who lived there. We had a meal, and it was delicious. They had great cooks. It was like a five-course meal. They had so many activities and games. The room she had was beautiful. It was a 1-bedroom suite. It was so nice. It was like a little apartment. The staff was very friendly, very thoughtful, and very appreciative that we were there visiting and talking to the other residents. It was just a nice place.

The Fountains at Sea Bluffs was beautiful. The person who gave us a tour was very nice, very informative, and spent a lot of time with me. I was just off the cuff and made the phone call and they were able to accommodate me immediately. The dining room was also beautiful. The food looked nice and smelled great because I was there when they were doing a big snack thing and it was nice.

I love everything about The Fountains at Sea Bluffs. The location was beautiful. It's right off the ocean, so it got a nice ocean view. They had different kinds of apartments. I like them better than the other place. They're a lot roomier and more spacious for the residents. They're well maintained and clean. Everybody appeared happy there.

The Fountains at Sea Bluffs is fantastic. My apartment is very large. It's 960 feet for a 1-bedroom and it has 9-foot ceilings with moulding. It's very beautiful, and it has a full kitchen. The staff is excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a full gymnasium, a spa, a swimming pool, a very large dining room, a recreation room, billiards, a library, all kinds of activities, and they go to concerts and trips. We just went to Julian to the apple place in the bus. The food is excellent. We had tri tip steak last night, and it was really good. They also have underground parking. Their elevators are very nice and work fine. They have a little reception area in the garage and they have carts there, so you can unload your things and put them in there. They guarantee the 90% of the purchase, back to my heirs when I die. They also have assisted living building and an Alzheimer's unit. I have a balcony and I look out on the mountains. When I go out in my front door, there's a big gazebo place and everybody sees the trees and the patio area. It's more like living in a home. You don't feel like you're living in a hotel room. It's right on the ocean, and you can see Dana Point Harbor right from my area.

Fountains at Sea Bluffs was lovely and beautifully maintained. It's up on a hill, above the ocean, and very attractive. The person who accommodated us was very charming, very knowledgeable, and has been there for at least 15 years. Many of the people I met had been there 15 years and that really impressed me. The food was delicious. They had a gym area with workout equipment, a spa, a steam room, a hot tub, and a pool.

My visit at The Fountains At Sea Bluffs went very nice, but I didn't like that it didn't have garages. It just had underground parking. The apartments were beautiful, and they had a place for the people if they develop Alzheimer's. It was very nice. The activities were fabulous. They take you anywhere, to Newport Costa Mesa, to the Segerstrom, to shopping, and they have programs where people come in and entertain you. The restaurants were lovely. Everything was very nice, but we didn't like the underground parking. It was kind of hilly there to walk from your building into the dining room and they didn't have an area for us to walk our dogs (because it was too hilly). Those were the negatives for us, but the food was fabulous, and the view was magnificent.

The Fountains At Sea Bluffs was quite pricey but absolutely gorgeous. Some of the units had ocean views, and it is the type of place where you buy your unit and pay a pretty high monthly fee. And then, if you need assistance down the line, they just come to your unit to take care of you, and you don’t have to move out. It was hard for me to not buy a place there because it was so beautiful. But it was just too small for my liking because I want to have lots of choices and be very active.

Thank you for your high praise. We pride ourselves on providing lots of choices and an active lifestyle to ensure our residents are thriving. Many people find they spend so much time out and about in our beautiful common areas that the smaller residences work for them. If you care to take another look I’d be happy to join you for lunch or a coffee. Thank you for visiting and if you have any questions at all don’t hesitate to give us a call. The Fountains at Sea Bluffs was very nice and quite a bit less expensive. A man took us around and showed us several different units. The dining room was very nice. The staff was very helpful. They had a pool and a modest workout room. They had a very nice location near the beach and some shopping.

The Fountains At Sea Bluffs was quite adequate. They have lots of different styles like small apartments and much larger facilities. It's a very pleasant facility, and it's on top of a hill overlooking the ocean. The rooms are quite adequate, and the pricing is average. The food was quite adequate, and they offer 2 meals a day. The staff is quite professional.

The Fountains at Sea Bluffs was top notch. The staff was good. The units were beautiful and had high ceilings and high-end tiles. They had plenty of activities for senior people to keep them motivated and active. The weather was perfect since it doesn’t get that hot there within a mile to the beach. The only thing is it’s very pricey for what my grandma is looking for.
Provider Response
Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions with this review; I look forward to showing it to our entire team. We’d love to have you and your grandma join us for a program, class, outing or a meal any time you’d like. Thank you again. Sincerely, Terry Brown, Executive Director

I love The Fountains at Sea Bluffs because the place was gorgeous, the rooms were fine, and the dining area was spectacular. They had a swimming pool, an activity room, and a big open room where they do exercise classes, which were very nice. I would definitely recommend this place as long as you have enough money.

The Fountains is very clean, and the caregivers are all nice. They sit 24 hours at night, and you don't have to worry because if somebody gets up, they have the censors in the room. That was one of the problems I had because my husband would get up at night, so this was the solution. They keep them active during the day, so you're tired and sleeping better. They don't keep them in their rooms; they keep them in the front part doing things. They have exercises and a lot of music, people that come in and sing, and outings to the harbor. Every day, they give you a calendar, and it changes all the time. They have a lot of things because they try to keep the residents active. Their dining room is nice where they have small tables of four. It isn't like a big table with real table cloth and all the plastic and stuff; it is classy, and the place is nice. They have a one-bedroom, which are more expensive, with individual rooms and bathrooms. He has one that is like a little apartment, and then there is going to be another fellow in this room, but he has his own room, and they share a bathroom and a closet. For me, it was a little less expensive, so I decided on that, but you can have different types of accommodations. It was recommended by my daughters, and as a matter of fact, my sister said, "The only place you can put him in is the Fountains." I know people that had their husbands there, and they are given very good care.

The Fountains at Sea Bluffs had a lot of outdoor areas and patios, and it's got an indoor pool. It felt like it was its own little village within itself instead of being a big apartment building. The staff during the tour were lovely and quite informative. They were a little cost prohibitive when you go up the higher levels of care.

The Fountains at Dana Point was another one we looked at during our search. It is beautiful and very high end. They are very independent living. Even in their assisted living, it seemed that people were very independent. They have a swimming pool that mother would have loved. But she decided that the swimming pool was not as important to her as the rest of the community. This facility is more expensive and very sophisticated.

The Fountains was excellent. It was probably our second choice. I loved that place, and it was beautiful. It was only seven minutes from my house, and my mom wanted to be close to me. They also have assisted living and memory care. The staff was fine. They were very helpful, and I had no problems with them. The rooms were very nice and very clean. There was no odor. I'm pretty sure they had an activity room, and they had activities for the residents to do. For memory care residents, I think they need to have a lot of stimulation, and I think they had that also. It could have gone the either way, but I just decided to go to the other one.

My mom is living at Fountains at Sea Bluffs for almost a year now. In general, I think it’s a beautiful facility. Her unit itself, mom made it gorgeous, so that is very, very nice. The dining room is beautiful. The most negative thing I guess I would say that has been difficult for her is, she is on a gluten-free diet and that not really been accommodated well at all, and that is a big deal for her. They keep saying month after month that they are going to fix the problem, and it has been a year now.
Provider Response
Thank you very much for your comments and feedback. In mid-August we introduced completely revised menus featuring gluten-free entre selections. I’m so happy to let you know that we’ve received raves and accolades from residents and families. Our resident who is most in need of a gluten-free diet personally called me to express her satisfaction and appreciation as soon as the menus were introduced. A month after our new dining offerings, she visited me in person to further express her enjoyment of the selections. Even residents without food sensitivities have expressed their appreciation of the menu choices. We’re grateful for the opportunity to provide an expanded, healthier menu. If you’d like to discuss our dining program – or anything at all – please don’t hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Terry Brown, Executive Director

We live in a retirement community. We are at the Fountains. We've been here for 10 years. We looked around at many other places, and this is the one we liked the most. This is a very friendly place. The problem is they're extremely expensive, and they keep raising the price every year. I have an apartment. It's a 2-bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms. We have a main dining room. I own the place. We have a lot of activities. We have exercises, lecturers, and entertainers. The utilities and the maid service are all included in the monthly fee.

We are settled in at Fountains at Sea Bluffs, and we are very happy with where we are. We are impressed with the amenities; it's beautifully laid out. The architecture is beautiful, no hallways. We like the swimming pool and their exercise classes. They have just about anything with regards to their activities. They have aqua, yoga, fitness classes, and a lot of excursions to local music events. One thing about this facility is that we need a better chef. The menu choices are OK, but the cooking needs to be a little bit professional.

I visited the Fountains and the facility is beautiful. The food is excellent. From what I saw apparently they have lot of activities posted on their board. I like the location, it's fantastic. The facility is fairly new. The decorations are outstanding and it got a very warm and happy atmosphere.

This is a professionally run and maintained facility. Whenever my dad touches the button on his wrist a caregiver seems to come out of nowhere within a minutes time. The meals are nutritional and served elegantly at the dining room which has a wonderful view of the ocean. The residence is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
