We like the residents at Chateau Cupertino. The facility was OK. It's an apartment setup. It's fine, but we're not looking for apartments. Even though we liked the residents there and they're very friendly, the facility doesn't fit us. The staff during the tour was a little bit overworked. She needs some relief because she's pretty tense, but she's very, very helpful and she's trying very hard. The air there seemed very stuffy. There was no air circulation in terms of fresh air. Some of the rooms were kept warm. One of the residents complained that her thermostat was not well adjusted. I think they're probably in the process of fixing that. They don't have a kitchen. You can't cook in there, but you can bring in your own microwave. Their dining was more like a restaurant.

I visited my aunt at Chateau Cupertino. I thought it was nice. The only problem is, it doesn't qualify for long-term care, and we were looking for that for my aunt. Everybody seemed nice, the rooms were good, and everything seemed to be clean. The food was good. We were able to eat dinner there one night, and it was great. When the pandemic hit, that kind of changed everything, so they weren't able to go out, have activities, and eat together. That's no fault of theirs.

There is always very loud noise around and inside this building. Air conditions noisy all the summer time. Kitchen venting system super noisy 24/7 Always there at least 2 truck a day for cleaning garbage area with super loud noise. 2-3 times a week SYSCO truck with engine ON at least 2 hours in front of the building. Super Super loud noisy place not suitable for elderly who want some place quite.

I like Chateau Cupertino a lot because when I was there, they had all kinds of decorations, it made everything very homey. They had decorations everywhere. I like the homey-ness of that place. The person who was with me during the visit was very upbeat; she explained everything. It seemed like she was more upbeat than the other one. I like this place more because it felt more homey. The decorations made me feel a little bit more happier.

I visited Chateau Cupertino, and a nice lady assisted us. I liked that the residents appeared happy and friendly there. Unfortunately, the rooms were very small. I would only be able to fit a small couch and TV in there; there's no room for furniture. They don't have many activities (they only have one field trip a month). They also don't have a lot of patios to walk out on or other things like that.

Chateau Cupertino was a perfect place for my mother. It was clean. They were very friendly and accommodating. They explained everything really well. The rooms were clean, but they were a little bit small. The residents looked happy and comfortable. It appeared really nice, and it looked like they took care of everyone really well.

We lived at Chateau Cupertino for 5 months. We have gained so much weight, and my blood pressure went up because they are feeding us with too much butter and salt. My experience was very bad. The people there were very nice, but the management was really bad; they don't care about your complaints. The apartments were old. The alarm system they put up was very bad. Most of the residents were on walkers, and you can hire a caregiver if you want to. The location of the place was good because there are shopping centers and restaurants nearby. All the tables, chairs, and air conditioning were old and outdated.

I am living in Chateau Cupertino, and it’s terrific. I am really happy to have found it because it's ideal and beautiful. The staff is fantastic, friendly, and helpful. I have a one-bedroom apartment with an extension from the living room that is a little solarium or sun room with window panels that open instead of a ceiling. It's wonderful because light comes in all day long, and it's just gorgeous. The whole place is magnificent and beautifully appointed. On top of that, the food is incredible. There are four main choices every evening for dinner. There's always a meat, such as beef, pork, lamb, or veal. In addition to that, there's a side menu, so if you don't like what's there, you can order from that which has things like cheeseburgers, hotdogs, and Caesar salad, so there's a lot of choice. What's incredible is there's also housekeeping to do all of your laundry once a week, and everything comes back meticulously done. The price is very reasonable in comparison to others around here. I just think it's incredible. There's valet parking and a swimming pool. There is transportation to medical appointments and two movies a day. We had a Halloween party and it was so much fun. I won best costume and got $50 in restaurant credit. This place is fun.

I placed my father at Chateau Cupertino, and he liked it. It’s clean and more modern than some of the places we’ve seen. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and accommodating. They’ve got all kinds of card games and physical activities, and they’ve got a shuttle that takes them places. That was very nice.

The rooms seemed nice and pretty. Chateau Cupertino’s location and the cost appealed to us; that’s why we chose it for dad.

Cupertino is older, but very clean, and well kept-up. They’ve got 3 different kitchens, meeting rooms that anybody can use for any reason, and nice units. They have plenty of parking, and my husband really liked it.

I visited Chateau Cupertino. I like this community, but it’s a little bit farther than I want to go. They had valet parking too. It’s really great. It was very friendly. I was sitting there waiting for my appointment, and even the people that lived there came over and said hello, and that was really nice. It seemed well maintained. It’s a little farther than I wanted to go, but it is still good.

Chateau Cupertino was totally independent, so it was not what I was looking for. They had food service, but my impression was you either take it or leave it. I didn’t ask about much because I wasn’t that impressed with the place. It was kind of small and the hallways were dark.

We visited Chateau Cupertino and thought it was nice. The facility was nice, and the woman who helped me with the tour was nice. I only saw one room and then left. It was nice but just different. They had generic hallways with nothing special about it. We were on the ground floor and didn't go to other floors. The rooms were reasonably priced.

Chateau Cupertino was the best we've seen so far. We thought it was a very nice and clean place, and we loved their very beautiful garden. They are one of the most accommodating for vegetarians like us because they have one entree every dinner for vegetarians. The staff was very friendly and nice. The apartment was very nice, newly painted, and looked really clean and nice. The dining room could be updated because it was a little bit depressing. Maybe they could brighten up the color a little bit. Other than that, I thought it was pretty good. We had soup and salad and baked potato, which were very tasty. The soup was excellent, too. They take the residents to shopping, doctors' appointments, and different excursions, and have enough activities to keep them busy. Their living room is quite small. We saw two bedrooms which I think were very small and the windows were not placed too conveniently. Their price is good; there's no buy-in, and it's a month-to-month payment.

I am in Chateau Cupertino. It has three floors, and I am at the bottom floor. I have a back porch that has a banister with slots on it. I have my dog here, I put her on this porch, and she can just go through the bars and go out in the grass. It is very nice for her and very nice for me. I have a one-bedroom apartment. I have two burners and a nice bathroom, and the bedroom is adequate. I have a double bed in the bedroom, and I have TVs in both rooms -- this room and in the living room. We have three meals a day except Saturday noon and Sunday night, but the food is very good. However, it is a bit bland because it has to be low salt. They take people on shopping centers almost all day. They take them out to restaurants and sometimes more than that. This afternoon, they are having happy hour from three to five. They will be serving wine and beer, and people sit around and can be served with hors d'oeuvres. My friend is a member of the literary club. They have pretty extensive programing for those who are interested. They have bingo twice a week. It is a pretty big place, and it is very pleasant. They will provide transportation to you if you need to go to your doctor no matter where they are around the area. So, they will take you to doctor or dentist and then pick you up. Everybody is treating us very fine. Most of the workers are young girls of Mexican descent, and the cooks are excellent. We have four different entrees for supper. They have two fish dishes in every meal. Last night some people ordered Chinese chicken salad. It is so big. I cannot eat it all. So, we like it here. I am new. I have only been here for two months, but I think I am going to settle in.

Chateau Cupertino is more like an apartment building. My father can do what he wants, and it feels like less institutional. It’s very affordable, but it has everything, and he would just be more independent. It is very close to my house, it was very nice, and it was clean. The staff was nice, but the sales person wasn’t very bright. I could tell she wasn’t a great sales person. She seemed very nice, but she didn’t really answer my questions like some of the other places. This woman showed me everything, but she just didn’t have the same level of knowledge. The rooms were roomy -- even the studio apartment was roomy and bright with lots of sunrise. The dining room was a little dark, and they have assigned eating that was nice. It’s like a high school cafeteria. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. They have lots of activities; it seemed like it would be a very full day. The location is next to so much; there is a library two blocks away, shopping -- great location.

I may end up at Chateau Cupertino because I like it there very much. The people there are evidently good people. I don’t sense that they are greedy. I sense that they are a business to take care elderly people. The location is perfect, but the only thing that worries me is that they don’t have covered parking, and I have a new car. Their apartments are really nicely done, and I don’t have any problems with them at all. Their food seemed very good, and I think it's all done in good taste. They are very professional.

I am very pleased with Chateau Cupertino and the people here are most accommodating. There a couple of rooms here and the food are good. There seemed to have a lot of activities like outings and people who come in to speak on various subjects.

I have Chateau Cupertino for my mom. There weren't that many independent living places around, and it was very close to where I am. The staff is very nice. They're just little 1-bedroom apartments. I had the food there; it was fine. They have bingo, and the bus takes them to the grocery store in the town, to the movies, and out to lunch. They have a card room. They have all kinds of stuff going on. It totally fits what we were looking for.

My dad will be moving by the end of this year to Chateau. My dad likes it because it is more like a hotel with carpeted hallway. The staff is very amazing. They are very responsive and accommodating. They are very warm. They understand that this is a big decision and they have been very kind about it. Chateau is a good fit for my dad.

Chateau Cupertino is a nice clean place, it is near shopping malls, but the food is not great. My aunt is happy there, they have activities every week, and I would recommend it.

My sister-in-law is in an independent place at Chateau Cupertino. It is in a very nice location. She has been there for about three years now. I think the facility is okay, although I don't think it's fabulous. Aside from independent living, they've also added assisted living. The independent part is adequate for my sister-in-law right now. She has been getting some extra help because she's not entirely independent and I think they're all fine. The staff is very nice. Overall, I would recommend this place with reservations. I think it's a little bit dreary and it needs a little lightening up, like new painting and new carpeting. I think the food is good but it's not fabulous, so they could improve on this one too. Also they don't have enough activities especially for people who wants to be busy.

The first time I went to the Chateau Cupertino, I was really impressed. The general arrangement was very nice and uncluttered. People smiled and I had a good feeling about it. I liked that their big meal was served restaurant style. They had very nice facilities and their lady manager at that time was very nice. The second time I went, they changed managers and I was not impressed. There was something about her approach that did not make me feel welcome and comfortable. And their price was about $500 more than the other facilities I've visited, which was a negative for me.

My mother has lived there for 7 years. I love the staff. This is an independent living facility, so of course they are not trained in healthcare. If you need assistance one can hire a private caregiver. Many residents have them. I'm giving this place 3 stars because the food is so awful. One would think with all of the competition Chateau would step up and serve good food. It's getting worse and worse. Several of the residents complain about the food, but it's falling on deaf ears. Other then the food Chateau is a nice, friendly place.

My grandmother lived at Chateau Cupertino for the last two years of her life. She was very happy there. The staff was excellent. There were many fun activities that she enjoyed and the food was good. The resources to get out were great as well. On top of that, the people that lived there were very nice and active as well. I would highly recommend Chateau Cupertino.

The grounds are very nice, but I think the food is terrible. I've eaten there several times and I think it's greasy and tasteless and unimaginative. I also hear complaints from the residents about it. A lot of complaints and portions are very small (although you can easily get seconds). The common rooms inside are old-fashioned looking. I think the hallways look dreary. The residents' rooms are adequate and some are nice "“ it depends how someone fixes up their apartment. Each apartment has a 2-burner stove and a refrigerator. The activities there are OK and there are outings. Their movies seem old and outdated. With all it's problems I have heard that it's a wonderful, warm community of people. The staff are just administrators. They're helpful, but they're not trained care for anyone no matter what. They won't even help you with blood pressure. This is strictly independent living, so if a resident's health declines, he or she has to move out or spend a lot of money to being in an outside caregiver.
