Oakmont of Concord memory care provides a warm and supportive environment where each resident feels loved by the staff. My mother has consistent contact with same caretakers every day, which is important In building a sense of home, for my mother. Her room has lots of space and she doesn't share a bathroom which was important for her since she is such a private person. The compassionate, highly trained staff provide a nurturing warm place to be. I if you want peace of mind that your loved one is in the right place, then oakmont is for you

Oakmont of Concord was a well-maintained, newer facility. It had an amazing, friendly staff. I was surprised at the size of the memory care there. It was a bigger memory care than other facilities. I think they had like 27 beds, but the ratio of staff to residents was high. When I was there, they were engaging to the residents. We're trying to find something that doesn't look like a hospital and Oakmont of Concord was very inviting. The apartments were in a more secure environment and I felt that it was very safe and very, very loving. I was very impressed with them. I saw the end of a meal and it looked good. Their menu looked good, too. The facility was very clean.

I toured the independent living of Oakmont of Concord, but I had the impression that it was much more geared toward assisted living. It would be great for people who were looking for that. They had a full-time nurse on staff, which was nice. The staff who toured me was nice. He showed me everything. My daughter smokes and they have smoking areas, which would be great for her, but the place had no parking. There was no parking on the street. The curves for the whole length of the street on both sides were red, so there was limited guest parking. You would also have to pay extra if you had your car, which I do because I still drive. It was a small place, and I think they only had something like 89 residents. It's very small, and because of that, the menu was very limited. And in terms of location, I did not like looking out the windows and looking out a lot of water parks and all kinds of stuff out there. So the views were very unattractive when you looked out the windows of the rooms.

Oakmont of Concord offers music, art, and movies. Their accommodations are very nice. They have private rooms and each room has a little display case next to the door where they can put private things out for other people to help them find their room. They were just too small for what we were looking for. When we arrived, there was a memory care resident who was trying to get out the front door. People were trying to keep this gentleman inside, but they were doing it (in my opinion) kind of forcefully. He wasn't being talked to or distracted. They just said that he can't go out. We also couldn't find any parking anywhere in the parking lot. When our tour guide showed up, she was distracted by that. Although she was very nice, she just seemed kind of unorganized. She said she had been recently hired, so I have to give her the benefit for that.

My mom moved to Oakmont of Concord and so far, it's been a very good experience. We had her in a place before, so we have something to compare it to and they're extremely helpful. The place is in very good shape. The layout is great. It's simple. So, she has no problem finding her room, and it's extremely clean. They have a salon, a library, a theater that's nice and comfortable with movie theater-style chairs, and everything she needs is there. The assistance that she receives is very good. She has memory problems and there's always somebody there if she needs something. They check on her to make sure that she's ok. So, even if it's a general assisted living, they have been supportive.

We chose Oakmont of Concord for my dad because of the location, the reviews, the cleanliness, and the program for memory care. All of our interactions with the staff have been extremely positive. They really take an interest in not just my dad's well-being, but my mom's as well, who was not there in the facility. And they provide updates, so we couldn't be happier. I've heard that the food is good, but I do not have any personal experience with that. They have activities throughout the day, every day. The facility was extremely clean, it was uncluttered and it was well laid out.

The tour we had at Oakmont of Concord was enlightening. Pam was very nice. The people were very informative, very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very kind. I think all of our questions were answered. I feel that they were able to give us a lot of feedback about what our aunt has been diagnosed with and they gave us a lot of information. We looked at the memory care and it was a very clean facility. We were able to see the rooms that they live in, the activity quarters, the dining area, and everything was nice. We enjoyed the tour. It was a smaller facility, which was what we were primarily looking for, and so we really liked it. The rooms were like a very high-end hotel or apartment building. It was very well kept and tidy. We saw them doing some exercises and when we were leaving, they were doing a trivia.

My uncle has moved into Oakmont of Concord. The first thing that we really liked was the location. It's close to my kid's school, so that was very attractive. Once we got past the location, the staff are super friendly. The executive director, Amanda, was super awesome in terms of intake and helping us think through a bunch of different things that we were thinking about. They weren't high in pressure. They just kind of presented the organization as it was, and it just kind of really fit our style. The facilities are really nice and clean, and the food looks fantastic. Their activities seemed super engaging, and the community seemed super engaged. The value for money is more than fair.

I chose the Oakmont of Concord for my parents. They're in assisted living. They have friendly staff and large enough units to not cramp my parents in, two bedrooms, two baths, living room, really nice, and super, super friendly staff. The dining area is beautiful. They're extremely happy. My mom calls me and tells me what she had for breakfast, she calls me and tells me what she had for lunch. All in all, everything's working out well. They have an activities director who introduced herself the first time I came and she said, I'll give you a day to settle and I'll be knocking on your door. So they have quite a few things on the schedule and try and get people out of the rooms and involved in things. They have an exercise room, they have cards, they have a library and movie theater. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Oakmont of Concord was beautiful. I didn't really talk to the staff much, just the woman who gave the tour. My parents loved the food there. I saw a one-bedroom, and the layout was nice. I liked everything. It was beautiful. They had a large outdoor courtyard. The facility was very clean. We looked at both assisted living and memory care. I didn't actually see the activities, but they have a lot of them. There's a calendar on the wall filled with activities. The residents appeared safe. There was a library, restaurant-style dining area, a little snack bistro, a little salon, an exercise room, and an area where they do the activities. They offer transportation.

I visited Oakmont of Concord's memory care for my husband. They have activities. It's good for him. The only problem is they have no respite. The staff and the employees were nice. They are good. Cleanliness and upkeep were super good. The place was still new, too. They have everything. We just walked through, and I saw a salon, and it's nice. It's close to my son who lives around there. It is close to a shopping mall. The building is beautiful. The staff told us it's only four years old. The room was good.

We moved my mom into Oakmont Memory Care right in the midst of covid. This was not an easy thing to do, but necessary. The staff at Oakmont were helpful, supportive, caring and helped us all with a successful and smooth transition. My mom loved her room, and the loving and positive staff. Due to covid and Alzheimer's we cannot personally rate the food or activities, although from everything we have gathered, they are great. Going forward, the staff has continued to consistently communicate, provide high standards of health and safety in the midst of covid, and have listened and responded to any and all of our questions or concerns. Susana, Pam and the front desk crew are all incredibly amazing!

The staff have worked very hard during these difficult times to "entertain" the residents - trying to make fun days ie cowboy, Hawaii, 50's going door to door in the after noons to provide a "break" for the residents. I want to thank all at Oakmont for making our loved ones safe.

My mom is enjoying independence and socialization while having the security of her medications being delivered daily and on-time. Living alone outside this community, she had to have full-time care in her home to get her medications, which she didn't like having another person in her living space. Now she is in control of her day, when she is social and when she can have time to herself. It's wonderful!

I am a big fan of Oakmont of Concord. The staff is great, facilities and care that is given to my Mother is awesome! The one thing that needs to be improved is Covid prevention on the side of the staff. Concord has had 2 reported cases of Covid and in each of those cases it was the staff that brought the virus into the facility. Each time that happened the facility was closed down to family members when we weren'nt the cause of the outbreaks. It's time that management got tough with the employees and either incentivise to not get in contact with others in their outside lives or terminate them for being reckless when off the clock! Something has to be done with Oakmont employees before a resident actually gets sick due to employee carelessness.

Our mother has resided at the Oakmont in Concord for almost four years. We are so happy with the care and the staff at the Oakmont. The staff is always ready and willing to help. It has been reassuring to know that I can call to speak with a staff member, and the call will be returned promptly. The facility is well-maintained, and the meals are truly gourmet. My mother is quite a picky eater, and she has been very happy with the meals at the Oakmont. The most impressive aspect has been the procedures that they put in place during this time of Covid. We were kept well-informed about testing and the outcome. Communication is sent frequently from the Director. This is greatly appreciated! I have very confident of the professional care that my mother receives at the Oakmont. It provides peace of mind for the entire family!

Oakmont of Concord was very nice and very clean. The person during the tour was nice, answered all our questions, and was very helpful. The rooms were nice, but they weren't furnished. You had to supply your own bed and dresser. I did not eat there, but they showed the dining room to us and it looked very clean.

Oakmont of Concord is a very professional environment. It's really clean and with a good amount if caregivers. They handle group activities well and they also deal with individuals well. My mom's room is pretty well-sized, kind of like a dorm room in a private college. It allows for a decent amount of furniture from home. The grounds are very good. They have two well-sized outdoor spaces, one of which is dedicated to memory care. The gardens are really well cared for and clean. My mom really likes the food.

Oakmont of Concord was very good, but a smaller facility than others, and they didn't have quite enough staff that older people would need. For younger people, it wouldn't matter that much but they didn't have the level of nursing assistance that others might need. The menu was nice and very comparable to others. They had outside activities, and go out for dinners and lunches and movies depending on how active you can be. It would be very nice for active older folks. For my parents who are both in their 90s, it would not be as good.

I went to visit my friend who lives at Oakmont of Concord, the community is beautiful, well kept and residents look very happy. All empyees look very happy there, they are always smiling and they salute you when they see you. The general director was making sure that all residents were doing well while eating lunch, she was going around talking to residents. When I am ready to move to an assisted living community, it will be this beautiful community.

Oakmont of Concord is beautiful, and I was extraordinarily impressed. It was clean, and I was well-received there. The lady who escorted me around was very knowledgeable and very patient, and I felt that had I wanted to stay there all day, she would have been there with me every step of the way. She just gave me a lot of good information. I would not hesitate to go there myself. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The place is very new, the halls are bright and spacious, and on the outside of each room, there's a personal display on a nook that told you a little bit about the person. The shared rooms were just as roomy, and there were windows facing a really nice courtyard where the tenants could go and sit outside. There were flowers, benches, and tables. They were doing memory activities, and they also had a really cool aviary where they tear down the nests and the patients could come and watch the birds rebuild them. They also bathe the birds, which was so cool. They also had a room where the birds could lay eggs, and babies would hatch which was a fascination for the patients as well.

Oakmont of Concord was very nice. The units were kind of small and very expensive. The staff was very nice, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. They were very much accommodating. They seemed to have activities to keep their residents busy. The two-bedroom units were much smaller than what my wife and I would like, but they were very nice. It was a very well done place, but it was just not right for us. It was very new and very nice.

My husband lives in memory care at Oakmont Concord. I moved him from another facility because he wasn't receiving the care he needed and there was never enough help. I'm very pleased with the Oakmont staff after nearly 3 months. There are enough care providers, they seem well trained, and the med tech is great. The memory care director, Melissa, is very involved, and they have a very wonderful activities person. When there has been an issue the Director is easy to talk with and I feel they put effort into a solution. I can't say enough about how wonderful the food is too as that was a problem at the last place. My husband has early onset dementia and placing him in memory care was the most difficult decision I have ever made and I feel that the team at Oakmont gets that.

Very clean and the management staff good. They seem understaffed, especially after hours. Residents have call necklaces, which they can push to call for help. But, if you have an emergency after hours you better be prepared to wait. Lots of nursing aides, but so far as I can tell there is only one RN, and she is the "nurse manager" and only works M-F day shift. They seem very under staffed, but the staff who are there seem caring enough. Food is good, activities director is wonderful. If you want to check out Oakmont of Concord, request an after hours visit.

Thank you for taking the time to review our community. We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed so much of your experience; we will be sure to pass on your kind words to our Chef and Activities Director. I would like to address some of the concerns you mentioned in your review: In addition to our Health Services Director, we also have Licensed Vocational Nurses, allowing Oakmont to have nurse coverage in our building 7 days a week for 16 hours a day. Our staff is trained to respond to all alerts immediately, day or night, so any resident needs can be addressed in a timely manner. I would love to speak with you in person to discuss your concerns and experience in more detail; my door is always open to you so please call or stop by any time. Warm Regards, Debbie Infield, Executive Director

Oakmont was brand new. I thought that part of it was designed for people with memory issues. We saw a room that was fine. They were willing to work with us moving from assisted care to memory care. The location was pretty good as far as being adjacent to the freeway. I knew one of the salespeople, and she was willing to work with people. I knew the chef and the guy who was doing the dining at the dining area. I thought the facility looked good. It would be worth taking a look.
