The Trousdale is really good. I'm really impressed with the staff and the memory unit where my wife is at. Other than that, it's a senior living, too. It's six stories and really nice. It's a little on the expensive side, but we do have insurance for that. The facility is very clean because they're meticulous about keeping it clean. It's relatively new so it has that new scent. It's really nice to walk around the neighborhood, too. We just took a walk a little while ago. I was impressed that they have a very active program. They have a staff member who comes in regularly. I'm not sure what floors she does but a staff member goes to the memory unit regularly. She's assigned to the entertainment and I think they played bingo today. Overall, the staff have been great. A couple of them are exceptional, especially the ones who take care of my wife. The girl that runs the unit, the manager, is also good. They're all very professional and caring. The food looks good to me. In my wife's case, she can't really use a fork or knife anymore but she's gaining weight a little, so I can't complain. They have a really nice dining room that I take my wife down to, on occasion. They serve a Ritz Carlton type of food, and the chef is really good. Their display is wonderful and I'm impressed with it.

Nice place,, but they only want patients that don't require a lot of care. Also, the outdoor area is small and you need a caregiver to open it for you. You can't go by yourself.

The Trousdale was stellar. It's a beautiful property. The room was small. It's a newer building. They have workout centers. They just had everything. They had a library and a place where the patients could go and see movies. They had a very nice-looking dining area.

I would like my friend to be at The Trousdale and it looked very positive that's gonna happen. It is very beautiful, spacious, and well taken care of. The staff is very caring, at the same time, very professional. The services seemed pretty complete as far as personal needs, as well as supporting independence. It looked like a very good opportunity for quality senior living. We've seen the menu and the food looked very good. They had a nice outdoor patio where people could get some fresh air, and it was very spacious. I know they have activities, but I don't know what those things are.

The Trousdale was clean. The community was bright and light. I talked to a couple of the residents and they seemed very happy there. It was a new facility, so it's updated as far as the technology and the services they provide. The staff was very helpful, very kind, considerate, and patient. The rooms were also updated and freshly painted. They had amenities for seniors like when your feet hit the floor in your bedroom, the lights go on in the hallway and into the bathroom. So, it minimizes falling risks.

My mother is at The Trousdale. They've been really good. We got her place there and then the COVID hit, and visitors have been very limited for a while. They went to great pains to set up kind of a distance visiting, and she developed cellulitis in her legs and she had to be hospitalized. Then they lost her expensive hearing aid, she got kind of combative and refused medications, and it was kind of a nightmare, and we could only talk to her like through an open window; it was awful. Then she was well enough, and The Trousdale was good enough to accept her back into their facility, and the hospice kinda took over her care. She's pretty comfortable now, and we're very happy. We're very happy with Trousdale. I rate the staff a five, however there's some language barriers occasionally because a lot of the staff there are from different cultures and background, a lot of Asian, Filipino and Asian, and sometime there's a little communication problem. It's not serious, it's just that the communication is a little difficult with a few of the staff because English is obviously not their first language, that's all I'm saying. Her room is wonderful, the room is beautiful, the facility is beautiful, clean, nice, and it's very new. I'd say we're paying quite a bit and sometimes I feel that they call us frequently with problems and requests. The staff is very caring and very nice. There's a little bit of language problem once in a while, nothing serious. We're very happy with it. It's very expensive though; it's $10,000 a month we pay and oftentimes over the year they've had problems because she is suffering of course from dementia. She gets a little combative when it comes to the cleaning, the dressing, the giving of medications, and they don't seem to have a good handle on that. We get a call once or twice a week: "Your mother's not taking her medicine." And I just feel like, "Hey, you're the professionals, why can't you guys figure out a way to get around that combative behavior?"
