My mother is a resident of The Lakes at Banning. They're amazing, I would recommend them to anyone. I asked a lot of questions, and they have all the answers. The staff is wonderful. It doesn't smell, it's very clean. They're very professional. Everyone there is nice. Every day they have so many activities. It's so much opportunity for them to do different things. They have dog therapy, that's amazing. They have arts and crafts, all sorts of things. They have an outdoor area. Everything is locked and secure; that's important to me. They have a big dining room, and they have a nice visiting area, almost like a living room in front of the building.

We toured The Lakes. I chose it because it's close to family. It's very nice and very personable. The people know what they're talking about. If you have any questions, they get back to you. They pay attention to you. I did eat the food, and the food was very good there. They offered the food to me, and that was nice. I didn't have to ask for it. It's a little bit older, but well taken care of. They're putting on a new floor. They're going to take the carpet out and put flooring in, so that'll be nice. They offered an Italian meal, but we didn't have that. I had a hamburger that was good, nice, and juicy, cooked to perfection, and well done. My mom had a club salad, and it was a very nice sized proportion. It was nice and fresh and made to order. It was very nice. We did like it there.

We went to look at The Lakes at Banning. The apartment is smaller than we expected. The facility was nice and modern-looking. We just live at Sun Lakes Country Club, and it's close. They have just about everything you need. They have a swimming pool. They do bingo. The staff was very courteous. We had lunch there, and it was good. We asked to talk to a couple of residents there to get their opinion and what they thought. The residents seemed very happy. They had a fireplace going and seating if you wanted to sit out there in the room and visit.

The Lakes at Banning was very homey and it smelled good. It was cold outside, so the fireplace was on and it had a beautiful seating area. The staff during the tour was very nice, very informative, very patient, and took me throughout the whole facility. I did not taste the food. I heard it's good from neighbors that are there. There were a lot of activities offered, everything from bingo to different games. They said every holiday, they celebrated in the dining room. I was impressed. There was plenty of guest parking and easy access for guests to the facility to visit their loved ones.

The Lakes at Banning was a very nice place to look at, but the rooms were really small. That was a concern I had, but it appeared that they had lots of activities. There were things like exercises, movie nights, and bingo. The staff I met was very, very friendly and very accommodating.

The Lakes at Banning was big and they have room. You pull in there and you'll find a place to park. It's spacious, it's lovely and new. When you walk into the front, it has a feeling of the upper-middle class. It's very classy and roomy. I was just not as drawn to this place as I was with the other two places I toured. Banning is a booming area, and there are certainly places for people to go if they want to walk around and shop. The staff who walked me through the facility was nice. It was just not a homelike feel, everybody was very polite and everybody was very proper. They're a beautiful facility and I saw the menu.

We went to The Lakes at Banning. It's really a nice facility. They offer just about everything. The rooms are nice and just about every time somebody moves out, they completely re-do them. The staff is great. They have game rooms and they schedule different games for them. They assisted us and took us all over the place. It's a large facility, too.

The Lakes at Banning was a nice facility. The staff was very friendly, informative, and helpful. The rooms were like hotel rooms with a bathroom and a little kitchenette, and they were relatively small. They had some outdoor areas where you could walk around, and they had an area between the two buildings. Their front building was assisted and the back building was their memory care, and they had an outside area where people go walk. They had a room for TV night, a game room, and tables with puzzles. There were lots of activities going on.

This facility is very nice and clean. The staff is exceptional. From the front desk to each and every caregiver/pal. My mother had a very difficult time adjusting to the move (she's 92). However, the staff has her happy as a clam now. She is always commenting on how nice everyone is (resident's included) and how kind and caring the caregivers are. I believe her biggest adjustment was being away from me (her younger daughter). I've been her caregiver for years. I am moving into Sun Lakes 55+ across the street from The Lakes in a couple of months. I'm sure she will be completely adjusted once that happens. I can't say enough about this place.....it's fantastic!

Once they showed me where the room was at The Lakes at Banning, I don't think I could have found my way out. It was a maze of hallways and my mom would have been isolated down a long hallway. The nurses' station didn't even look like one, it was just a small room which was very noisy and loud. My mom would just get very lonely there. They had lots of activities, but a lot of it was very boisterous and I don't think my mom could have handled that. They always had special food going on like pie in the afternoon and ice cream socials. It was a beautiful facility though.

The Lakes at Banning is an awesome place. They check on my brother twice a day and his meals are brought to his room because he had a stroke. They have entertainment that comes in, bingo, card games, special meals, and provide transportation to places. The administrative staff is really helpful. One of their largest dining halls is open most of the day, and there's another one downstairs that’s open for a limited time. They serve a variety of food. They have specials and other choices in the menu. They have a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and a small exercise room.

The tour at The Lakes was great. We had a great tour guide who explained everything. We were very pleased with it and considered moving there. However, it was quite a chore to get from one place to another. The rooms were very nice, very clean, and everything was good.

The Lakes looked very nice and clean. Everybody looked content. They had trips and lots of activities. The staff was very pleasant, very helpful, and very nice. The scenery was the one thing that I did not like because you looked out the window to a brown field without trees or anything. It looked barren, and I did not like that.

The Lakes is a nice facility but I don’t like it that two people shared the same room, there was just a little divider between them. The facility looks very nice but the residents and relatives of the residents were not as pleased with it.

The Lakes was my first choice because it was close to where I live. But my father did not choose to stay there because everyone else in our family lives in Corona. One of the things I really liked was that there was a pool for water therapy. The residents could also have a barbecue and invite their family over to eat by the pool, and the family could go swimming, too. For people like my dad who can’t walk, he could still get in the pool and move. That’s why I thought it was pretty awesome. The Lakes is like a retirement community and there’s a really nice, upscale 55-and-over type of neighborhood called Sun Lake on the same street. I think it’s cool because the people who are in that independent living community can graduate from Sun Lake to The Lakes when they get to the point where they need assisted living. One thing I have discovered is that I definitely do not care for sales pitches and being harassed by salespeople who are constantly calling me to bring my dad to their place. That really bothers me. At The Lakes, they did not do that. They were very accommodating with any questions, and they’d call back but didn’t hunt you down like a used car salesman.

My mother has been living in The Lakes at Banning for five months now, and they're pretty good. Her room is very nice. She is in the smallest one you can get, which is all she needs. She has her own furniture in there, and the bathroom is huge. The whole place is very nice. The food seems to be fine as she enjoys everything she eats there. They could have more activities for them, though, and I would prefer having more activity directors come to the rooms. I wanted her close to us, and this place had a really good reputation.

I not only visited, but I moved my mother into the Lakes on May 30th, and we are very happy with it. And, what I found was interesting as when we knew we needed a place to put my mother, at first I didn't think assisted living even in any way could be a possibility, but I thought, "Well, why don't I look into it?" And so what was explained -- and what I didn't quite get and probably a lot of people don't get -- is the fact that in assisted living, they have all kinds of supportive care. If you don't need any care, you don't have the care, but if you need help toileting or whatever, they have it. So it has been perfect, and my mom is very happy there. I am most impressed with the facility and the people. It is the perfect solution to what my mother needs right now at this time in her life. She is well cared for, and what I like is when she declines, the care can be increased. It is all very flexible, and I really like that.

My Dad lives at the Lakes in an efficiiency apartment. He's in his late 90's but still gets around using his walker. The staff are really nice and Dad has made several resident friends there to eat with in their dining room on the independent side of The Lakes. He enjoys their 11 AM exercise class and their weekly cleaning of his apartment.

My mother is in The Lakes at Banning. It is newer facility. It is nice and clean. We choose it because my brother lives near there. The staff is excellent and very friendly. They have good service and good care. The food is very good. They have activities like bingo, cards, exercises, entertainment and all kinds of stuff. My mother loves it.
