I have moved into Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield. It's very good. My room is excellent. The staff is very nice. I chose it because I needed to be close to Tehachapi. The food is good, not great, but they let me make alternate choices. They have a beauty salon and transportation appears to be not free. It is a beautiful place in a great neighborhood. Looking at the activities, there are not a lot of activities for independent seniors. A lot of the activities seem to be geared more towards assisted living status like chair exercises.

The facilities of Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield were excellent. That's what drew me there. I liked its cleanliness. I saw a few people competing in a game they were playing. I know they're going to have activities, and there are three meals a day and snacks. I like the security of it.

Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield would be on my list when the time comes. It is clean and well-kept up. The staff seems very friendly and very helpful. The apartment idea was very nice. It was very much on my list of to-be-considered. If you begin to need more assisted situations, you can do that. There are common areas. They have a library-type/multimedia area and a space for crafts and hobbies, that type of thing.

Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield was beautiful. The lady who gave us the tour and told us all about it did a fantastic job. I like the facility. The staff showed us some really nice apartments. The thing that I liked least was the expense. We walked by there just about the time they were having their early dinner, and the food looked really good. The staff showed us the optional menu.

My dad moved to Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield and it seems very nice. The people are friendly, and the lady that helped us, Jane, was very helpful and kind. Overall, it's been a very nice experience. I've had a couple meals there with my dad, and they're good. His apartment is nice and kept clean, it's a small room, and he has a large closet. He also has a little patio right outside of his door. Jane took us for a tour on each floor. There's a laundry room, there's a library, a room with a TV where people can get together, and an activity room. What my dad was really excited about was, because he can't see very well, they have this magnifying machine, which is not just a little hand-held thing. And so he was really excited about the magnifying machine. They also offer a lot of activities. When it comes to communication, they seem to care, and whenever I call, they call right back.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield. It's one of the finer ones. My mom hasn't started living there yet, but we've researched it a lot between my sisters and myself, and we have found that it's the most affordable for her. They're implementing a lot of bonuses for her, so that works out well, like doing the laundry and coming in and cleaning her place. It took a toll on my mom here in her home cleaning the house and stuff like that, and she's got a disability in her leg, so getting that type of help means a lot to us as a family because we all have jobs and it's hard for us to get away all the time. The staff members were very friendly and very accommodating. They answered our questions when we had any, and they answered them immediately. They go out of their way for the residents, and we like that. We had dinner there, and it was good. The chicken tenders were excellent. The facilities were so clean, and they're right on top of fixing it if a light bulb burns out or when one of the residents moves out and goes elsewhere or passes, then they revamp their room or their home. It's just so up-to-date and done quickly, so they can have another room for somebody else that might want to live there. They have a dining room, a library, and a card room or a game room. They have some workout equipment. They have washers and dryers, so when you go to do your laundry, but otherwise, the staff does the linens and towels. There was no smell, there was no garbage, and it was like a nice hotel.

I liked one of the units at Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield. It's nice. It has what I need. It's carpeted. It's a nice place. I'd like to live there. The people that I talked to were very helpful and very friendly. There's a lot of parking and they have activities for the people to do and three meals a day. It looked clean and well maintained. They gave me some cookies. The dining area looked nice. It looked like a restaurant in some ways. They have a barbershop, beauty shop, exercise equipment, two pianos, and cable in the room. I would recommend it. It's a well-maintained, clean, and friendly place.

Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield was a rather small independent living or assisted living facility and I liked it very much. The only thing I didn't like was the HVAC systems. They're like a motel heating and air conditioner. They're rather noisy and they're right there by the bed and I didn't care for that. That's the only negative that I have against Solstice, but it seemed like a very nice place. I looked at a two-bedroom cottage with a garage. The person that gave me the tour was Jane and she was very accommodating and very knowledgeable and it was very interesting to follow along as she showed me the facilities. They have a large dining room. They also have a smaller dining room if you wanted to entertain some friends or relatives. I believe they had a pool and they took the pool out and filled it in and turned it into a dog park. I have a dog, so that interested me. People with dogs could take their dogs to the dog park. Their dogs were certainly welcome there. It was an excellent experience. The cottages were not part of the main building. They're sort of spread around the outer edge of the property. They showed me various apartments, and I looked at their other facilities. They seemed nice, but a little small for all the stuff I've got.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield with Jane who was phenomenal. The tour was for my dad. She was great, very caring, kind, and just absolutely wonderful. She answered all our questions and showed me several apartments. It was just wonderful. I liked the apartment size, and the pricing was reasonable. She was talking about the scheduled transportation, and the group activities around the house, which included some of the games, the little library, and the computer they had set up. They also had lots of nice grounds to walk on. One of the apartments that we toured, they didn't have a chance to clean it, but they're renovating, and the renovated ones look wonderful. They have a beauty salon and a restaurant-style dining. You can hire extra help to keep the person in independent living longer.

We saw the whole community of Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield and we were very impressed. It was very lovely. The gal, who was the supervisor there, was full of energy, and seemed to be very much interested in the community and the people. They were very good about contacting us. There was one unit we weren't able to look at, at the time, but she kept us updated, so I'm very pleased with her. The place was very well-kept up. I think it could be a little bit more modernized in some of the units, but they are working on that. They are updating all of it and they're doing a very good job with their upgrades. We looked at their food and I was very impressed with what they had. I believe they also had a place where you could go just about any time if you wanted a hamburger or something like that. It doesn't have to be meal time. The thing I was impressed with is that you could also order your food and then come pick it up. I thought that was really nice. They had very nice activities and they had a lot of things that my mother was interested in. I think that they are working on updating a couple of areas where people go to gather to play games. They're working on updating maybe the carpet or painting and that type of thing. They're just generally updating.

Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield looked good and was well-kept. Their food was good. They had a menu and they're very organized. You pretty much knew what you were going to be eating all day and all week. They give you a handout that would give you the option. If you didn't want to eat what they were having, you get something else. The dining area was big and friendly. The staff was just great and the apartments I saw were pretty much in good shape.

I had an in-person tour of Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield. I liked it. It was clean, nice, beautiful, and kind of within range monetary-style. Whoever was in charge went into detail and showed me around. I have no complaints with the staff. They were friendly. The only thing I was kicking back is that for someone to live there, you have to buy your own furniture. I thought everything would be furnished -- tables, TV, linens, towels -- that was a surprise to me. They have some sort of sports, backgammon, laundry facilities if needed, and a nurse on call. They have three meals a day plus extra.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield and it was very nice. However, it was far away from the community my mother-in-law used to be in, and it wasn't as near to where my husband and I live. They took us to some of the rooms and they looked very nice. It was just not our preferred location, but it was a good neighbor. We saw two people while we were there, and they were both very friendly. The place seemed very clean and very nice. If it had been closer to her area, she may well pick that one.

Very impressed with the care my parents get at Solstice. Before Covid - they had so many fun things to do and entertainment at least once a month , sometimes twice a month. During Covid, they are doing their very best to keep everyone safe, doing games by speaker and trying their best!! Delivering meals to the rooms and encouraging residents to exercise. Thank you staff and workers I would love to name people but don't want to miss anyone!! Sincerely, a happy daughter, CJ

Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield is a beautiful place, but we had to find more of an assisted living place for my mother. The people were very compassionate. They came by and knocked on her door, and they tried their best to accommodate her needs. The food was good. Even the chef came in to ask her how the food was. Everyone was really great. We chose that place because of the area and the beautiful surroundings; it was nice inside and out. If your loved one needs more care, you have to purchase that outside of the facility. It's very independent.

We have chosen Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield for my parents. The price was reasonable for all the amenities. The place was very clean, and the people were really nice and very welcoming. It has everything that my parents need at this time. The rooms have been updated and have new carpets. They have nice flooring and a lot of closet space. My parents will be moving in in January. I would live there if I could live there. They have a chef and a nutritionist. Food is very balanced and you have a lot of choices. They bake their own bread and they make their own dessert. It is really nice; it is really good. They have all kinds of stuff. They have a game room; they have activities all day long. When we were there, they were having a fireside chat with eggnog. They have happy hours, they have a chapel, and they have three or four services every week for different religions. They have a lot going on.

We visited the solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield. I liked it and I think I would go there before others. The staff was fine. The food was very good and filling, and the dining area was good. It was like a restaurant where the service was good, had a good selection, and it was more than I expected. The rooms were OK, nice, and when someone moves out, they made it new again. They showed me one model; one room was smaller, and I would choose a bigger one if I will go there. You can go outside and walk around. Its located close to where I live, and I love this area. You can tell they work hard to keep them upkeep. Everything looks almost new, the furniture doesnt look worn, and its really clean, quiet, and smells like a new facility.

I went to Solstice Senior Living. It was small, and the rooms were small, but it was even more expensive than the other places I looked at. It was beautiful, but my mom didn't like how the men were dressed in suits. It made her very uncomfortable. It was too formal for her on a day-to-day basis. The staff was awesome.

I moved into Solstice Senior Living, and my experience has been very good. I liked the area, and it's not too far from where I live. They have Mexican Train, and a Bridge group. My apartment is very nice, but very small, and so it's an adjustment to make. The facility is beautiful, and the meals are nice. The staff is fine.

Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield was very well-maintained. The staff seemed very friendly. The facilities looked very well taken care of and it seemed like everybody was happy there. They have lots of activities too. They have Bingo, chair aerobics, and puzzles. It's in a very nice area of town. The rates are competitive. The food is very bland. It wouldn't be something that I would like, but maybe some seniors would. It's a little bit better kept up and the neighborhood was better than the other place I saw.
