My mother has been at AGCC for nearly a month. Everytime I visit, I observe more and more things that impress me. The rooms are spotless.. The nurses are friendly and professional. The physical therapists are very knowlegable and take time to communicate with me regarding my mom's treatment. The aids are sweet, attentive, and skilled. The activities are varied. My mom is very shy and has never been one to socialize. The last time i visited her, she asked me to take her to the recreation room. "I think i should get back now and be with my friends," she said. Another day she told me, "At night, it is just like a big happy family." Even the other patients are delightful and warm hearted. I am so relieved to know that my mom is in such good hands. Hats off to you, AGCC.

After leaving the hospital where she had surgery to repair a broken hip and arm, my mom was sent to AG Care Center. She and our family were welcomed by a very knowledgable male nurse. He carefully explained the routines and answered every question we had. Even though my mom is deaf, the staff found ways to effectively communicate. I visit her daily and always find the nurses and aides polite, pofessional, and compassionate. One aide especially, treats my mom as if she is family. Maria has worked at the center for twenty six years and is an angel. (I hope she wins the employee of the month and gets to park in that special place. She deserves it!) Thank you, Maria, and the entire staff, for turning a very difficult time into an opportunity for my mom to feel valued and loved by folks other than family.

My grandfather is at Arroyo Grande Care Center. It is a rehab center, but there are also long-term beds for MediCal recipients. It seems to be OK. He has been there since Saturday. The staff members are all very friendly, and nice. His room is a shared room, and there are three people in it. They have plenty of activities. They provide three meals, and three snacks a day. My grandfather says the food is OK. They’re very friendly. Arroyo Grande Care Center is warm, and inviting.

Arroyo Grande Care Center is an excellent place for elderly people. The staff and nurses at the care center are friendly and warm. It is apparent that they really care about their residents, and want to do the best for them. The care center is equipped with a dining hall and activities rooms. The only downfall is that it smells in the center, as most care centers do with elderly patients. It is hard to control the odor of urine, but they do their best to keep up with the cleanliness of the facilities. Overall, the facility is in need of some updating, but it doesn't make a difference, when the staff and nurses are as outstanding as the ones at the Arroyo Grande Care Center. The residents there are of many stages of their elderly lives. Some are very mobile, while others are bed ridden. Some residents have weekly visitors, while others have no visitors at all. Regardless, all are treated with utmost respect and kindness.
