As part of the greater Seattle area, Snohomish County shares the city’s assisted living price, which comes to an average of $6,750 per month. This price is higher than the state average of $5,750. According to Genworth’s 2020 Cost of Care Survey, assisted living in Snohomish County is significantly more expensive than the national average price of $4,300.
Assisted living in Snohomish County is more expensive than anywhere else in the state. Nearby Mount Vernon is a little cheaper, at $5,850 per month. In the center of the state, the Wenatchee area averages $5,473 per month. Olympia is even more affordable, with an average cost of $5,138. Moving toward the state’s northeastern corner, Spokane is also more affordable, at $5,084. Next to Puget Sound, Bremerton has a median assisted living price of $5,000 per month. Meanwhile, Walla Walla has the lowest assisted living costs in the state, at $3,800 per month, making it approximately $2,950 more affordable than Snohomish County. Traveling north, next to the Canadian border, Bellingham has the second-lowest prices in the state, at $4,738. Although Snohomish County’s assisted living costs are higher on average than other Washington cities’, its close proximity to Seattle’s amenities makes it a desirable place to live.Â
