This is significantly higher than the national median price of $4,300. Assisted living in Mercer County is also more expensive than the state average of $6,650 per month.
Within New Jersey, Mercer County has some of the highest assisted living prices. Atlantic City is more affordable, with an average cost of $5,790 per month. In Vineland, costs fall much closer to the state average, at $6,523. Ocean City has the lowest assisted living prices in the state, at $4,945. This is $2,533 per month more affordable than assisted living in Mercer County. Costs can be lower in neighboring New York state, where capital city Albany averages $4,800. New York City also has lower assisted living costs than Mercer County, at an average of $5,991 per month. Lakeside city Buffalo is also more affordable, at $4,565. Ithaca, however, is significantly more expensive, averaging a whopping $13,500 per month.
